A manager that works there named Taylor L. is unfortunately a complete and utter racist when African American customers come into the store!!!! I could not believe the service that was given by him today November 2, 2017 at 4 pm. I am a 21 year old white woman engaged to an African American man and him and I along with his cousin and African American friend went into the Shoot Straight in Casselberry today to shoot our legal guns. Mr. Taylor L. already got into an incident with my fiance about a month ago trying to state that my husband "smelled like marijuana" whenever he walked past him...my fiance would never go into a gun store intoxicated but because he has dreads and is African American with tattoos, Mr. Taylor L. told my fiance to leave. Now we have been back there again and again and everything has been fine due to Mr. Taylor not being there, but today we ran into Mr. Taylor L. again and he immediately came up to my fiance stating that he "smelled like marijuana" again and as we went to try to go shooting, the man behind the counter told us that Mr. Taylor usually acts this way but to just come back in two hours once he is gone so that way we could shoot but because he apparently "smelled like marijuana" we could not shoot while Mr. Taylor was there. We did not smell like marijuana and Taylor L. was trying to state that ONLY my husband smelled like marijuana which he already tried to accuse him of a different time before. So tell me why Mr. Taylor L. EVERY SINGLE TIME he sees my fiance in the store he accuses him of "smelling like marijuana" and threatens to get the police involved if my fiance doesn't leave?? My fiance is not a felon, my fiance is not a criminal, my fiance and I were simply trying to give this store business but this is how we get treated ONLY because my fiance is African American. I am very displeased with Taylor L.'s service and will NEVER give Shoot Straight any business ever again. read more

This store has the most unfriendly staff I ever seen. No smiles, no eye contact, and the staff continues to do what they were doing while trying to ask a question. I think it is the owners fault because he or she sets the tone and culture, which the employees portray this same image. I could feel a strange sense when I walk through the door. What is the difference with a store selling big screen televisions or guns. The guns in the store are just a piece of steel until you load it up, so why the tension? This saying goes for this store and other type of business selling products to survive " the customer is the boss, they pay the bills" They could stick their 44 mag up their nasty a#@. read more

These people are dishonest, they treat all the employees like crap and they have taken an Anti-Veteran stance on hiring. Just know who you are dealing with. When you go to buy a gun from them look for the "choke code" its right on all the labels they use, even the gunshow labels. I will how tell you what they mean, each letter in the arabic work Murabiton is assigned a number and xyz mean 0 , m u r a b i t o n 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 xyz 000 so if it says "choke: muxx" that means $1200, thats what they really paid for it. This place used to be the best Gun Store and Indoor Gun Range in the Orlando area. It's gone down the drain. I have no plans to be back. They have hired some new staff members, and they absolutely suck. I came to shoot and buy a gun. I ended up doing neither. Their employee running the register, Dick, was a real piece of work. I brought my family here to shoot and this guy started our family experience by telling them off and lectured them about paperwork. Instead of being an ass he should have done his job and walked them through it. Have some class and customer service. read more

Since this recent AWB fear, the customer service here has become pompous and arrogant, especially from the middle eastern manager/ brothers owner. So because customers are buying up more guns, this store wants to treat them like a number. Casselberry shootstraight is like a damn cat, acts nice when it's hungry and after you feed it, they stick their nose up at you and act pompous. This store is of full of arrogant lying jerks, the customer service is terrible and everything is significantly overpriced. The range is extremely hot and poorly lit. Go to Southern Guns down the street or the Armories of Oviedo to conduct business with people who dont treat you like crap. read more

Walking in with not much prior knowledge or experience with guns they made it surprisingly easy to figure out the steps I need to become a licensed carrier and pick out my first gun thanks to an amazing employee named Sebastian I was able to do it all within and hour with no problems. read more

Racist and rude place will never ever use them again. Had everything needed to purchase a gun and they asked for my passport. I have a concealed permit they had no reason to ask for it. Stay far away. Other similar reviews mean im not the only person they had discriminated against. read more

If I knew that the concealed weapons class was going to be held by a cop trying to strong arm pressure the class into signing up for monthly payments to a shady lawyer for lawyer insurance, I would have definitely done the class somewhere else. read more

BEWARE OF UNFAIR CONSUMER PRACTICES. Shoot straight did not disclose a 25 % restocking fee on non approval applications. The gun never left the store and or was discharged. Shame on them to take advantage and keep hard earned money. read more

That place is too expensive. It's a rip off. I could go to the armories , Academy and buy cheaper.
