Two extra wide bowling alley lanes containing many varieties of wine, liquor & spirits. Straight and long were the north and south lanes showcasing many varieties of wines in the magnum and up size. Italy, Greece and Californians seemed to dominate this sector, single standard bottles were populated by the above mentioned as well as French and South American. A quick peer over to the left told me enough to know that Shop & Go had hundreds of options of the stronger stuff, mainly all encased in top shelf bottles. So I'm at the register, reslady too pay when the current customer, a lady in her late fifties looking kinda sketchy insisted she gave the clerk a twenty and it was he who gave less change than she was due in error. The courteous staffer kinda knew it wasn't the case, but didn't create a rift, smiled and wished her well. read more

This is a great little liquor store. It had my can't hard to find cocktail. In having conversation with person that worked there. He also informed me I should stock up as the cocktail I drink, the company would be going out of business. I had the sad face as it is hard to find a good cocktail drink. He was great and I enjoyed my time at the store. They had some wonderful prices in addition to a lot to choose from. read more

Just came from this place and had an excellent experience. Stopped by this liquor store on a detour back to the car from enjoying some Chinese buns. Soooo glad we stopped in. Selection in this place is great and the prices a lot of the stock is competitive with wholesalers. They have a great bourbon section, which is always great to see. They've also got a great wine selection. The gf found a few things she liked, but we missed a few things we wanted. The owner was there and we got to chat a bit. He recommended what time of year was best to look for the things we were looking for. He also promised to check to see if he could get it even though it was out of season. If you live in the area, you probably already come here. If you don't live in the area, but you're there for one reason or another, you should stop in and take a look. What I love about this liquor store (besides the convenient location) is that everyone who works here is incredibly friendly and helpful. If they don't have what you're looking for they're always ready with a great recommendation for something similar. And the guys tend to be on the attractive side. Which is besides the point, but there's something nice about buying your booze from a pretty face. They also tend to have new items pretty frequently- just went in today and they have apple pie moonshine in a mason jar. read more

This neighborhood has been in desperate need of a good liquor store forever. This liquor store finally fills that void. There is a wide selection of both wine and the hard stuff. Everything is laid out very well, making it easy to find what you need. If you can't find what you're looking for the staff is friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. The only thing better than the selection are the prices. Everything is very competitively priced, especially compared to other local stores, but even compared to the cheap wine & liquor stores in NJ. read more

Great selection of wines, something Kew Gardens seems to lack these days & their prices are WAY better than anything near me, so much so that even if I take public transportation I can come out ahead just by buying 2 bottles. Whoa! A New Queens Gem! Highly Impressed! I had ignored Shop & Go for a few weeks because everyone knows the drill in Queens, dinky little liquor store opens up in a strip mall, no selection, HIGH PRICES and the owner treats everyone like they are a wino or a criminal. Not so at Shop & Go!!! You will find a small but gorgeous store, extremely clean with FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE staff and Long Island like prices! As a former bartender, I took my time going over each section and they had a fine selection of pretty much everything you need! Shop & Go even passed my little tests when I looked for the obscure things. They had speed rack, bottom shelf and top shelf. I was quite amazed! Their wine choices keep getting better and better. I don't have to drive out to Pops Wine or Westbury Liquors anymore, I can get many of the same brands right here at home. Shop & Go is my new GO TO wine store! read more
