It has been hiding in plain sight…read moreas we drove by on our way to Old Ferry Donut, I noticed this space and it intrigued me so we stopped on by afterwards. This reminds me of Haven City Market in Rancho Cucamonga, except this space is much more intimate, smaller, where locals hang out. It is vibrant, trendy & full of choices for snacks, coffee, boba, baked goods & also a multitude of cultural foods (Mediterranean Filipino, Mexican,Thai, Korean, Caribbean, ETC). Communal tables available for indoor & outdoor dining. The 2nd floor (elevator for disabled access, stairs as well) space is quieter for work or study & events too. I forgot to photograph the stage where a small play or a spot for presentation is also available. Artwork is posted on the walls by local artists practice their freedom of expression. So neat! Staff at various vendor stalls are very friendly & open to share their passions to customers. Met the pastry chef from Baking With Ish, Ishnoel from Mindanao, Philippines and the barista/cashier, Jacqueline at Lotus & Bean, they're genuinely welcoming. I could see myself coming by to be a regular here. I really LOVE the concept. Restrooms available for both floors, clean. Parking is free. Come check it out!

Great spot if you're with a group that can never decide on one place. I had the shrimp ceviche from Olla Cocina and it was really good. A little heavy on the onion for me, and I was bummed there wasn't an option to add avocado, but it had tons of flavor and just the right amount of heat.

The part farmers market is not…read morelike the one in Pasadena were they have more variety of food/vegetables to purchase but it is new and I think that in time it will be a place where people will come out to hang out like in Monrovia. As for the food vendors... I haven tried too many other than the tamale guy. He sells them for 3-50 and 6 for 17.00. Needless to say I had to buy the value. It made a good lunch the next day. The masa is decent and the tamale is larger than the average. I liked the pork one. I tried beef and pork. It had softer mass which means more lard. It it was good. It is not like the place I go to in ela or El Monte but good for the convenience. I have gone twice here and last night there was another new tamale guy. I didn't try his, only the guy from ingle wood. I also went to the Mediterranean place from Monrovia. 10.00 for a salad, not bad I tried all the combo meat lamb chicken. The shaved ice will be the hit during the summer months. I saw a place that sold grilled whole squid which I thought was interesting. I wouldn't buy it myself personally but I mentioned it to my coworker and she told me she loves it that way. She pays 8.00 and is only 6.00 at the farmers market. They definitely have a variety of vendors and attractions for kids. Come out and support the farmers market if you have time. It is nice to have something in the city.

And it's very family friendly - they even have games like a giant Connect Four and bean bag toss! I have to say I was just a tad surprised at the size - the name "night market" gave me visions of something like the 626 market - but this is much smaller so just be aware. But I think that's a good thing - much smaller crowds and more local sellers! There was even a DJ playing fun, energetic music. There are several rows of booths offering all sorts of fun items - jewelry, ceramics, art, crafts, foods and treats- even Halloween items! There was also even a Henna artist. They had several food booths as well - tacos and pizzas, bubble tea and a lovely fruit booth that even had açaí bowls! Yum!! It's in a pretty central location in the SGV and there was plenty of street parking. I read there's a parking lot but I didn't find it - but like I said - plenty of street parking. There was a Yelp Elite event going on but I wasn't part of it this time - just came out to support some local businesses! It's free to enter but they ask that you reserve free tickets on Eventbrite - not sure why though bc there's no check in area or anything - I reserved 3 tickets for my party but couldn't find where we needed to show them - you basically just walk in. Very very similar to the local farmers markets that you'd find in places like Old Town Monrovia etc.

There is plenty of parking for those who would like to drive and park off of Las Tunas. I opted to just walk since I was less than a mile away. For a night market, it was quite small. Two rows of small nic nacks you can buy ranging from jewelry to essential oils. There was a small food section that had Korean bbq, Mexican food and pizza. We opted to try the Korean BBQ from GOCHU Gang. It was very delicious! You can definitely smell it from afar. The only thing was they didn't have their prices or what's on the menu listed on a stand. They did say they had a online menu but there is no posts with a QR code. So we just blindly ordered essentially and asked what they recommended. There were a few stands with dessert such as the cookies from Crackle n Puff and crepes. I do wish the night market was bigger. There weren't many things to see and the stands that were there were very selective. Night markets are usually more successful when there is a variety of stands. Overall, it was cute and small. If you're into a small and free night markets, it would be a cute night out. We spent about a little over an hour there. Just don't have super high expectations like the large night markets.

Fresh produce, baked goods, hummus, pizza, tamales, seafood, and more. This weekend I stopped by and grabbed grilled skewers from Far East Embers. You could smell them from across the market, they were grilling over charcoal and it smelled amazing. I got the sampler which came with one of each skewer, plus rice and salad. Really solid and filling. They had a bit of a line so be ready to wait, but it's worth it. Definitely a nice addition to the area and I'm excited to see it grow.

Lots & lots of vendors selling fruits, vegetables (a myriad of some that you may not see in regular supermarkets), cooked/prepared foods, salsas, honey, nuts, baked goods. Come check out all my 20+ photos- I tried my best to capture almost every single one of the vendors here at this farmers market. There is plenty of street parking available and then there's free parking by Blossom Market Hall, except when there is a showing at the playhouse or an event, then it's going to be close to impossible snatching a space to park your bucket of bolts. The vendors & staff are friendly & accommodating. Free samples are usually given out. It's a fun way to spend a Saturday morning, for a solo outing or family outing. Check out the information booth for a chance to win a raffle $100! You earn 1 ticket per vendor you buy from & an extra ticket for bringing your reusable bag. It's fairly large & organized, prices are competitive. You may walk around to get the best deal per pound from different vendors. Torrance fmr mkt is my favorite one but this one is close by. I got options! Yay!
