The special touch of a bow added to my purchase.

We were in town for just one day, attending our son's soccer game. I really wanted to take home something handmade from Buffalo, which is how I found this lovely shop on Yelp. There was a fun variety of local, hand-crafted products, including jewelry. I ended up purchasing a pair of sterling silver threader earrings with quartz dangles that I cannot wait to wear. I highly recommend this shop for anyone who is looking for a special gift, or maybe just a little treat for yourself. The staff is extremely friendly and eager to assis you. I hope I return to Buffalo soon so that I can come back.

Ceramics. Pillows. Wrapping paper. Honey. Perfume. Josh Allen wearing Juicy Couture. You name it! If it's Buffalo local, ShopCraft has it. I spent forever in here, having my eyes caught by something new every millisecond. Every piece & product inside was so unique & special. Just a bunch of Buffalonian, trademarked goods! Don't come in unless you have time to take your time though, because it sure is worthwhile to stop & appreciate all of the talent & beauty that the City of Good Neighbors has to offer.

This could be really confusing to any passerby and admittedly I've walked by many times. Shopcraft sits in and shares the same space at Thin Ice. Here you will find items made by local artists and crafters. Which may lead to the confusion. Many items you will find will have that familiar bison theme or something you might see at the Allen West or Elmwood art festivals. Unique, rough, stylistic, anything but cookie cutter with items such as jewelry, home decore, leather goods, wall art, greeting cards, wood art and more. The day I entered the space was during the Father's Day event, the Saturday before actual father's day they hosted some of their resident artists outside at a few tables and offered beer samples in the very back. Having not been here before I was a tad disappointed that the same items outside were available inside and for a hefty price. I get it, cost of materials, cost of time, etc all that stuff that goes into making something but some items I have seen better crafted, better quality for a lower price either online or other craft shows. Im all about supporting local but I'm also about trying to watch my wallet. I would recommend anyone that is a fan of locally made or unique gifts to check this space out. I see myself finding an item or two around Christmas. A lover of unique jewelry could go on a bender in here and oh yeah, there is a resident cat you may find napping in the window.

When we visited on a Sunday afternoon, half of the back area was sectioned off so there wasn't a whole lot of items to browse. I'm under a tight budget so the prices here didn't appeal to me, but they were overall pretty reasonable. And it's great that the items weren't trendy items semi-massed produced that's sold under the guise of a gift shop trying to make it appear unique or local ish. You know what I mean?! The hubs actually surprised me because he ended up with some Feelgoodz house slippers. He loves online shopping more than being in-person at a store. So after he kept examining a pair of slippers and looking at prices online, he said he'd take 'em. I guess he went for a functional item. I've never encountered a whole store with fair trade items (not that I can remember) so running into this one was really cool. If we are to be consumers in this world, why not make it count a bit.

The merchandise was affordable and actually things I would buy. The cashier was super friendly but not pushy and really helpful. I know this is more of a chain store but I've never seen one before and I really enjoyed our visit.

SO, I opted for some reusable/washable "paper" towels, an eco dryer ball from friendsheep, and the very wonderful Poppy & Pout Island Coconut lip balm. I know Little Salmon offers free delivery within a 10-mile radius of their shop in the Elmwood Village and that I can also purchase online but they've inspired me to find a sustainable/zero waste store in Los Angeles and I cannot wait to continue to work towards an incredible lifestyle.
