UPSOLD MY ELDERLY MOTHER. Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. My elderly mother…read morewas taken by her assisted living and they completely upsold her. $900 AFTER insurance was the bill I got for blue screen blah blah (she doesnt use a computer). It took me 4 phone calls to even get an itemized copy of the bill after leaving multiple messages that clearly stated she wanted nothing that wasn't medically necessary. They refused to cancel the order and I was stuck paying the the bill although I never authorized the purchase. Doesn't matter that Im her medical POA or that she came in from an assisted living they had no issues taking the money over doing the right thing and providing good customer service. At least this practice can pay their bills this month, not so easy for us!

(I was their last appointment of the day and I wouldn't have blamed any single person for being a little warn out from a long day... but my experience was far from that.) Next, I met with Misty for my pre-test, she was so kind and made me feel so welcomed right off the bat, she was thorough and explained what we were doing and what it tested for. Didnt take long and I was moved to Dr Schmidt's office, he is very kind and personable with an awesome knack for making the eye exam comfortable and stress free. After nearly 30 years of not needing glasses, I was due for a prescription! So Jennifer kindly escorted me in to the main room, where I was enthusiastically and warmingly greeted by Erin who right off the bat picked a set of frames that perfectly complimented my face shape. Next was Terra popping over with an awesome eye for picking out personality fitting frames. Next thing I knew Jennifer, Erin and Terra were listening to all of my likes and dislikes and bouncing from pair to pair that next fit my suiting. Jennifer picked out a pair of truly unforgettable glasses frames that reminded me of old Hollywood Era Audrey Hepburn. I ended up going with the glasses frames Erin picked for me, and the Sunglasses Terra picked for me. These 3 women could professionally team to perfectly fit any person with the best pair, I believe. Truly this was beyond exceptional service from everyone mentioned above. I am so happy with my choice of Schmidt Family Eye Care and I would recommend them to everyone I love most. If any of you are reading this, thank you again for being A+ humans, you made my evening.

Steer Clear of CKF. On countertop/sink install day, they touted their 'complimentary' cleaning…read morewith CKF branded '3in1 Cleaner/Polisher' and also failed to glue down one section of the countertop (which we had to call them back for). A CKF brochure titled 'Countertop & Sink Care' highly recommended the 3in1 cleaner specifically for Cambria countertops. We continued to use it 2 or 3 times a year for the first 4 years until we noticed that water rings and a bleached area under our coffee pot were growing increasingly worse and were no longer improved by continued use of that cleaner. We called Cambria to report the problem on our matte finished countertop. They told us to immediately stop using the cleaner (which btw isn't food safe) and sent out a rep to evaluate the problem. Cambria rep could not clean the problem away. We were later told that the Cambria warranty was voided due to use of the non-approved cleaner. Cambria had cut ties with CKF the prior year. CKF sent customer service reps to evaluate and clean the countertops. Their cleaning agents were oily which temporarily improved the water rings and bleached area but did NOT fix the issue. They offered a discount if we chose to purchase a new countertop since we were outside the 1 year warranty CKF provides. What a deal. Total disappointment and frustration after buying our very expensive 'maintenance free' countertop. We decided against a lawsuit after discovering that 1) legal retainer fees were nearly on par with the cost of the countertop, and 2) small claims court can issue a judgment against CKF but can't enforce it that judgment. Beware people. CKF did not take responsibility for this problem and attempted to 'clean it' away with oily agents that did slightly improve the marks, but mostly just temporarily hid them until the oil was washed off. We're now stuck with an expensive countertop where we have to set everything on towels to avoid further damage.

I use CKF for all my counter tops and they do a wonderful job. I won't go anywhere else! Lori C is…read morethe BEST!

Carpetland - Got rid of carpet!

Beware Lincolnites! In a nutshell: CarpetLand had unacceptable customer service (post-installation)…read moreand very low quality control with wood floor installation. The owner is rude and will not work with you if you have problems with installation. We had an installer who did not use good judgement in installing our wood floor. More than a dozen planks he glued down (we do not have a subfloor) were visibly damaged and defective. I think 99% of people would discard these particular planks -- or at the very least, set them aside for a closet or other less visible area. The guy's response to our concerns: "That's just how it is." It is not like we ran the risk of not having enough wood... he either didn't pay attention to amount of wood available or simply didn't care about quality. We ended up with an entirely unopened box of leftover wood that clearly could have been used, but instead, the installer decided to permanently install damaged wood. After a long delay, 2 guys came back out to "fix" some of the problems. The putty just makes it look dirty and gross texture that will inevitably attract dirt and dog hair. Sigh... why!?? It is so disappointing to have saved up, waited for so long to have our "forever floor" put in -- and now have it be messed up. It was expensive -- and a lot of this turmoil could have been avoided with more common sense. To top it off, the owner was not responsive to phone calls --- and was super rude to my husband when he was finally was able to get a hold of him. I do NOT recommend CarpetLand. The poor quality control and disrespectful treatment is NOT worth the slightly lower bid they gave us we had compared to other local vendors.
