Doug Dushan gave me a tour of the facilities and explained their capabilities and was eager to answer all of my questions. Their showroom is basically a mock up of what I'd imagine Tom Brady's house looks like. TVs everywhere. Speakers stealthily installed behind walls and in the ceiling. It was incredible. And then there's the home theater. Oh my god the theater! It's a 14 seat home theater that is straight out of Best of MTV Cribs (remember that show? With Master P living like a king?) He let me pick a few scenes of movies to get a vibe for what they can do, and needless to say, I was amazed. Their engineering appeared to be top notch. Doug took me back to where they would build and test my media server and the accompanying electronics before they would be installed in my home. I really appreciate this attention to detail. Most home theater outfits do much of the install at my home. Echo Systems does all of the pre-install work at their site so all the troubleshooting can be done there before it gets put in. Doug was very knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with my tsunami of questions. I'm sure I'll be using Echo Systems for my home video needs in the future.

I love the security cameras, being able to see when a package has been dropped off and the peace of mind the system offers. The integra has a Wifi module automatically update the firmware and it was not set up when they installed it. Lends to them not understanding the equipment they install.

While we appreciate his offer to remedy this, we gave him an extraordinary amount of time to complete a job that should have taken less than a week according to other vendors we talked with. We purchased 3 ICRealtime single cameras and 1 ICRealtime dual camera plus a doorbell but have only 4 after the dual camera was removed and replaced with a single Speco camera and no offer to refund the difference. After his failed attempt to configure the cameras and multiple hours on the phone with ICRealtime technical support, he blamed it on the manufacturer but we had multiple camera brands with the same problems. During the many months he worked on this, we never were able to access the cameras remotely although he made sure he could. One time I discovered a camera pointing to the ground which was done remotely. It was creepy to think that he could invade our privacy like that. Several cameras were not properly positioned for optimal coverage despite his moving them and leaving holes in the soffits. Not one camera was ever configured properly to ignore moving tree branches, traffic, and rain. He always stated his goal was to make it right, yet he sent us an additional bill reflecting time to rectify issues with his installation. Lastly, changes he made to our modem settings created multiple internet problems for us. After one visit, our internet went down. He started this project in February and after many, many promises to have functional cameras, we realized in September that this most likely wasn't going to happen.

If you do chose OCAVS, then I would not pay them in full at the completion of the job, until you have time to test everything to make certain it is working properly. The printer was priced at less than $200. The software indicates that an Instant Ink subscription is available; however, after setting up the printer, this subscription was not accessible for the 5100 series. Contrary to the associate's assurance, the printer does not print in draft mode or grayscale. We are incurring significant costs for ink at regular prices, and it is not possible to purchase only black ink; all colors are required. This situation appears to be deceptive. Relying on staff for accurate information is unacceptable when they provide false details. Additionally, we purchased a Microsoft 365 subscription for $179.00, for which a key code was provided on a printed receipt. I inquired whether Geek Squad could assist with the installation on our computer, with a quoted fee of $40.00. Since the computer was purchased at the same location, we were advised to install the software ourselves at home, with the option to return the computer if issues arose. Our total expenditure for these goods and services amounted to $1,615.54. RUN FROM BEST BUY!!!!!!!
