Pharmacy. But from Costco not Shoppers
    Henry C.

Pharmacy changed $66 and same medicine at Costco was $44. You don't need membership at Costco to buy medicine AAVOID SHOPPERS, but from Costco or superstore

I have to say this Shopper Drug Mart has everything. From milk to frozen items to the snacks and pharmacy items. Of course not meat and produce. This i a very clean and big shoppers. Lots of parking because its part of the mall. In front there are some parking as well (limited but I always manage to find a spot). This is also a very busy SDM.

For the entire mall of Richmond Centre, this Shoppers feels like the oldest store amongst everything in here. It maybe that yellow tinge once you walk in that makes you feel tired and zombie like, or it just might be that this Shopper needs a real facelift (been to any of the newer ones?) it just feels old. Just know if your in the mall, and you need some dried snacks, prescription drugs, lotto, bus passes (yes, this is what we actually came for!), toiletries, cosmetics, breath mints, diapers, smokes, condoms (yup, just turned this review into a +17) and the oddball electronic item, like an xbox or a ps3. This place is also opened a little later, and earlier than anything in the mall, since it's got it's own entranceway off No. 3 Road across from the Skytrain station. I really hope they do a reno (long overdo here!) and figure out the lineup situation, as I've seen many times there is a lineup building, yet only one cashier helping out trying to get every impatient person through. It's an odd Shoppers, but it's still a Shoppers in the end.

Came by to pick up some random bits. Parking is available directly in front of the store, though spaces are very limited. The adjacent lot is probably a better choice. This location is fairly decent sized. Staff were a bit lacking as I had to look around to find someone to help me. Maybe it was break time. I got what I needed, and was out in minutes.

It was late, we were tired... Really tired. My wife wanted to go straight home, but I wanted something to snack on so I convinced her to go into this Shoppers Drug Mart. Boy! Talk about a mistake! I settled on a carton of cantaloupe, it seemed like a perfect late night snack and after picking up a couple of other things we went to the register to check out. After trying repeatedly to scan the bar code, they said it wasn't working and asked me to go get another package which I did. That package wouldn't scan either although the price was marked across the top of the box. By this time a line was starting to form behind me. The clerk calls for help, they still can't figure it out. I say can't you just enter it as miscellaneous and they say no, I say can't you just take my five dollars and figure it out later and they say no, that's not the way it works, and I say so then I'm not allowed to buy this? And they both give me a blank stare then they call the manager. The manager arrives and he seems at a loss as well, so after about 15 minutes he finally comes back up to the counter and says just enter it as open department, and the clerk says, that's what he told us to do, pointing at me. I was sorry I had come in, I was sorry I dragged my wife in with me, I was sorry for all the people who were inconvenienced, and I was amazed at the incompetence of the staff. Not ready for prime time.

Convenient location in the mall and across from the Canadaline. I come here mostly for the Canadapost services. However, you'll find a pharmacy here, along with a cosmetic centre and all the other necessities: Food, cards, hygienic products, drinks, magazines, etc... Sometimes the products are stocked well or it seems a little messy as Teresa S. also mentioned but it's not too bad of a stroll to see what random sales are present as you wait for your transportation across the way.

The store is pretty clean and organized, and there's decent parking in the plaza. But... is it just me or does it always feel like the staff are "lowkey" following me around the store? It's not super obvious, but enough to make me feel a bit watched while I'm browsing. I get that security is important, but it can make the shopping experience feel a little uncomfortable. Other than that, service at the checkout is usually quick, and I've had a few helpful interactions at the electronics and photo counters in the past. Still debating if I'll keep shopping here regularly or just order online when I can.

Many people I know love London Drugs (the chain, in general), and they all adore this particular…read morestore: it's large, clean, well-organized, well-stocked, well-lit and easy to navigate. So if you like LD stores in general, no doubt you will really really like this specific store. And I admit, there are other advantages to this site. This store is located in the Ironwood Plaza, which is a swell outdoor mall, with some really cool shops surrounding it. You could do all your errands here without leaving the mall (there's a huge Save-on Foods grocery store, A phenomenal BC Liquor store, a huge Canadian Tire across the lot, and lots of cute restaurants, and some medical clinics, etc.). The parking lot is huge, too, and free, so there's never a problem driving here. For me, though, I'm not a fan of the London Drug chain. I find their prices higher than any other store selling the same merchandise (and that says a lot, as Vancouver prices are crazy high, compared to every other city I've lived in). And to me, price points rank up there in how I rate stores. And in this particular store, the other day when my kid ad I visited, we walked up and down the aisles looking for some specific items, and there were no employees on the floor to ask for help (if there were, they were in hiding). We went to the cashiers to ask for help and the few that were there were busy ringing up customers and they didn't look up at us as we stood by for a few minutes. It was not good. After spending about ten minutes in the store wandering, we left without buying what we came in to get. Another disadvantage lies in the logistics of leaving this parking lot. There are no traffic lights if you're exiting on Road 5 (by the Starbucks), or at some other exit points. And if you're clueless like I was when I first visited this mall, on a weekday at 3pm, know that you will NEVER ever leave this lot and you will grow old and die in your car waiting to get out of the Ironwood lot. No exaggeration. (Note: only visit on a weekend or super early or super late on a weekday. Or else!). On a side note, I WILL add that I DO like LD for photo development. I always order my prints online and pick them up in their photo departments. They are great for that!

She looked at us oddly and we told her that the machine was frozen. She seemed not to understand what we said. She asked us if we used a physical card for LD Extra, and she said it was good that we did not use a physical card for LD Extra because some people do that. We were surprised to hear that because there is not a points card for LD; the staff and the machines usually ask for our phone number. She was confusing and did not know about the rewards program. If she was helpful, she could have checked that machine before she questioned us. This is not the first time that the self check-out machines wasted our time; the self check-out machines at this LD always had problems (e.g. it showed 'Call for attendant' when we did not press the button; it did not go to the next screen after we pressed a button on the screen (it just kept spinning)) and there is always no staff available at the self check-out area for assistance.
