A female employee came to us when we went to another self check-out machine because the one that we had been using was not responding. She looked at us oddly and we told her that the machine was frozen. She seemed not to understand what we said. She asked us if we used a physical card for LD Extra, and she said it was good that we did not use a physical card for LD Extra because some people do that. We were surprised to hear that because there is not a points card for LD; the staff and the machines usually ask for our phone number. She was confusing and did not know about the rewards program. If she was helpful, she could have checked that machine before she questioned us. This is not the first time that the self check-out machines wasted our time; the self check-out machines at this LD always had problems (e.g. it showed 'Call for attendant' when we did not press the button; it did not go to the next screen after we pressed a button on the screen (it just kept spinning)) and there is always no staff available at the self check-out area for assistance. read more

I bought my last laptop at London Drugs. 11 months after the warranty expired I likely hit a virus and needed to do a reset. This is a process that is supposed to return the computer to it's factory settings. It didn't work and my computer was now 100% screwed. I went to London Drugs and the salesmen played fully stupid terds. They knew nothing, other than the fact there would be a $75 'troubleshooting fee' followed by an hourly charge bringing the minimum fix to around $140. A google search later and I learned Windows 10 has a zillion flaws and doing a reset is very often one of them. The fix involves sticking a recovery USB into the machine in .2 of a second. I went to 5 stores and was lied to 4 times. The one time I wasn't lied to the associate suggested I take the computer someplace else. At 80+ stores and using conservative assumptions I figure London Drugs is stealing $1m+ each and every year from Canadians through this scam. Moral? Avoid London Drugs completely and when you buy a new computer the FIRST THING you do is create a recovery USB so that WHEN windows crashes you won't get bent over by a-holes. read more

Since I practically come here every visit to Vancouver / Richmond, I am pretty sure I'd be here weekly if I were a local. For Americans, this is like the Canadian version of Walgreen's or CVS, only bigger. This location of LD may not the biggest one, but its clean, well stocked, and always seems to have a decent sale. I'm typically here for toiletries as there is a great travel sized selection. Mouthwash? Check. Lotions for face and/or body? Double check. Mini razors, toothbrushes, shampoo, bandaids, and soap? Check x5. Oh it's on sale? Discount sextuple check. Now I wish I had an actual membership for steeper rewards. And of course there's more. Food, photo printing, electronics (big plus!) and obviously their pharmacy. I've purchased a small fan and road trip goodies here, but bless my good health, I've yet to check into the pharmacy portion of the store. Thank goodness for Canada's health care either way. Customer service is always superb. I call ahead of time to ask about specials and they're usually patient enough to give a rundown on the phone. They've even let me in with 2 minutes closing to get something quick and have been good about assisting for items that aren't on the shelves (yet). Long live LD! read more

Rude and unprofessional service ever. I went here to buy a colouring book while strolling around Richmond area earlier. I went up to customer service counter to pay and the staff wasn't busy just had one customer ahead of me. I've been helped by cashier most of the times or do self check out at Granville location. I was never greeted with a smile, but told to go to cashier line up. That line up was already busy. This Flipino cashier wasn't busy at all and is this how you treat a customer? I've never had problem at other LD stores and wouldn't go up to her counter if self check out was ever available. Plus she really needs to be coached by her boss. read more

This isn't the first time I've received rude/bad customer service at this London Drugs location. I've never had the urge to write a review because "rude" is subjective to different people. However, as a customer, I certainly don't appreciate being "lied" to. I was in a hurry to buy a "cheesecloth." I get it that many people probably don't know what this is; however, if you don't know an answer, shouldn't you go and ask? I walked down a couple of aisles trying to be self-sufficient but I couldn't find what I was looking for. I located the nearest staff member who was an Asian woman and asked for help. She looked at me blankly and said "Cheesecloth?" (pause for few seconds) "No we don't have" and walked away. It was so obvious to me that she didn't know what a cheesecloth is. Instead of seeking help, she basically just said London Drugs doesn't sell it, which was the easy way out. I had to go back to those kitchen aisles and re-looked everything myself. And guess what? London Drugs does sell it. I also passed by a couple of the staff members during my visit and none of them even smiled or said "hi." They all had a poker face on. If you hate dealing with customers, then why are you even working in retail!? read more

Came in today (second visit ever) with a doctor recommended dual wrist brace recommendation. After walking around the very back aisles nearest to the pharmacy, I went over and waited by the Persciption drop off area. A pharmacist "Shamin" came over to ask if I needed anything. I asked about wrist braces and the lovely pharmacist walked us over to the aisle in a different area (a section I completely missed). We discussed a few things then she recommended a ambidextrous wrist brace which I then was offered to try on. Small/Medium is where its at. Grabbed a second and followed Shamin, at her suggestion, back to the cash register. She offered to write up a special receipt in which to submit to insurance and then completed the transaction with me (thank you direct debit!). Somehow each was $10 off (thank you small mercies). A good place for browsing. I picked up some cute souvenir items that wasn't too bad at $2.99 Canadian dollars. I also browsed the beauty department, and the employee there was friendly and helpful. And I walked thru the aisles, the apparel section caught my eye with some surprisingly good deals and styles. There was also an electronics section if you're wanting to browse the latest gadgets and technology. Parking was pretty abundant as London Drugs was in a huge complex. read more

The store is nicely laid out, and they have a wonderful staff. I try to pick up Vancouver trips as much as I can, so I can get out of the Arizona heat in the summer. Ordered online for pick up in store. I ordered and picked up my items the first week of October and upon opening the package, I realized one of the items I got was expiring in October 2019. The reason I shop online and pick up is because it saves time, but I ended up having to exchange for another item (they didn't have the same product) at another location. The store manager contacted me to apologize and offered a replacement and gift card, but honestly, it's out of my way to go back and not convenient for me. Came here to pick up a stack of Ensure. Yes they have Ensure on sale at $8 per pack (6 in a pack) here all the time. Their main business is pharmacy and so deals can be found there in terms of vitamin, meds and etc. Also their stock is pretty good. I do like coming here but as a tip don't come during lunch time or dinner time because parking can drive you nuts. I mean I prefer to park on the second floor so I don't have to walk the stairs or take the elevator. It is located in a mall that only 2 restaurants and LD's customers take up all parking spots. This LD is quite big and spacious and has pretty much you expect to find at LD. I don't recommend getting electronics here. Kind of overpriced by 30% or more compared to competitors. But if you are baller and willing to pay for convenience than OK. read more

Location seems great but getting here plus the parked traffic is quite insane. Avoid the No.3 entrance as you'll get bottlenecked w/ the TD ATM 15min parking & shoppers just darting in & there. Westminster entrance not any better unless u make an 'illegal' left to the upper parkade, which even then, is quite tight. i say enter from Minoru Blvd thru that side street by Mui garden. anyways, this LD is a bit smaller than the newer ones, & last time back in november, had my passport pics done here, 2 pics for $10, pretty fast. but if you're here for dim sum at empire or that japanese place, it's convenient--only then. read more

I have to say this is a pretty good store. They have a lot to offer. First place we went was to the Pharmacy. They are well laid out and very professtional. Prices are not bad either, and that is without insurance. This store carries almost everything that you could need. One stop shopping you might say. Food,a large selection. Body needs,all the cleaning and primping products. Vitamins, and meds. Then an entire section of household goods. TV,music, dishes, furniture,yes even that! I was amazed how much this place carries in on store. Plus, we even got something they are famous for SEXCEREAL. They also carry Holy Crap Cereal. This is one of primary location I always visited when it comes to search for Vinyl records/CD's and related products. In the electronics/ AV section you can find most of the stuff you are looking for and usually you get much better service when David is around. Last Sunday (Oct- 11) evening when I visited there and asked about "Vinyl outer sleeves", but the employee who was there at the time was clueless about it and his body language suggested that he didn't want to serve. When I showed it to him and asked (because i didn't see the tiny label in the package) his immediate answer was " what..? What..?I don't know"!! He was in a hurry to close the counter and he didn't like me talking to him. Why was this person working at electronics/AV related department when he has no idea about what is on sale there? Now I have second thoughts about visiting this store again. London Drugs, please educate your employees or just replace them with people with good attitude and who are willing to help customers. read more

This rating is for their passport photo services only. I came in to get my passport photo taken and told the guy at the counter. He then proceeded to call someone who would take the photo for us. This girl came and she was very friendly, she asked how many of us needed the photo taken and we told her two. She was very quick and efficient when taking the photo. She told us to not smile, stare straight at the camera and all the other things that we needed to know and she took the photo. She then told us to wait about 10 minutes for the photo to get developed. (My mom said when she took hers she was allowed to have many re-takes when she didn't like it.. I didn't have that option however) The area to take the photo had a white backdrop as required for Canadian passports, a mirror where you can fix yourself before taking the photo and a foot sticker on the floor that tells you where to stand. Very basic but it gets the job done. After 10 minutes the photos were finished and it came to $11.99 per person. It came in a little envelope and there were two photos inside. I'm really satisfied with their services and will be coming back next time when I need another photo taken. read more

I always check out London Drugs when I'm around the area after dinner. They do have some awesome deals when on sale, otherwise its not the cheapest. Their store is presentable, selling anything from electronics, small furniture, food, pharmacy to cosmetics. They don't have a designated clearance section but just look for sale signs. They also have good deals on vitamins etc such as buy 1 get 1 free and special promotional prices. Their staff are friendly and helpful and return policy is within 2 weeks with receipt. I really love this store quite a bit! Whenever i am in Vancouver this is the place to be. They have a pharmacy and almost everything else you could ever want. They all sorts of food products from all over the world. Beauty supplies,vitamins, just everything. You must walk up the stairs to the 2nd floor to get in. But, exercise is good for you. It is clean and laid out nicely .They will help you find anything you need. High sales tax,but hey that is Canada. Love it!. read more

I have been to this location a few times to get some holy crap cereal and other make-up items. I would never drive to this location, however, it is transit accessible somewhat. I came in here 'cause it was close to another B-tea location that I needed/wanted to go to. I come here to look at their Vinyl collection since the HMV downtown closed. I was staying at a nearby hotel and needed some drugstore items and found this place. This place is huge. It has pretty much everything you need at a drugstore plus a lot more. Long wait at the check out counters. Waited for more than 10 minutes and finally the Manager decided to open up another counter. And he went off to help another customer. No matter what good reason he had, here we were waiting for longer to pay for our item. No apologies for the long waits when we complaint about it, the manager actually screaming at us. We shop at London Drugs often but never experience being screamed and yelled at by the Store Manager. So rude and unprofessional service ever experience. Like this place as they have a great selection of goods, and you can even get car insurance here in flash. Watch for discounts on the website and you can find some great deals. I bought a video game for 67 dollars from London drugs, as the guy is ringing me up he drops it, normally thats no problem they are pretty hardy, but i get it home open it up and its all busted up inside (looks like it got tossed around maybe?) so i take it in to this London drugs and the guy wouldn't exchange it because it was opened!
