This Shoppers is really good, when I'm here I always noticed that place is so clean and organized. And it's easy to find what you want there. Shoppers, they are closing now until 11 p.m., that's a good deal, right? My favourite part is chips, always on sale and cheese too. The coffee cream is always on sale, that's a good deal. It's important to remember if you have Shoppers app, that's a good deal, that helps you to get some more points with your cupons and see what they have on sales for you. Unfortunately they don't have a lot of options for veggie and fruits. But that's ok!! I'm the store, you can notice there is a Canada post and Pharmacy too. The cashiers are so helpful and professional, they know what they are doing. If you see some line, just use one of the self check out, they are really good too. read more

They have good prices and good selection. I'd say there's nothing wrong with the store itself. It's pretty convenient and a quick pick up shop. Well my oldest daughter wanted to buy makeup so i took her and we chose some makeup just some blush, lip gloss, and mascara (I think..? i'm not good with makeup..) Nothing extreme for her age (She's 13) And the person working at the counter gave us attitude and judged her age! I was very offended and my daughter was humiliated. read more

Along my area, the only type of 'jack-of-all-trades' store was the lone London Drugs, but then this new kid showed up, and at first it used to 24 hours, taking a one up on the other one, but now, 11 PM only. Oh well, it still is nice to have a Shoppers around the area, especially in terms of their flyer sales that happen every week and to not have to drive out too far to snag that last pack of toilet paper! I actually come here cause they usually have cheap prices on a dozen eggs, yes, this place has food. Seems like Shoppers has really followed the LD model in many things, including self photo ordering and printing, lotto, cosmetics, pharmacy, this one also has a Canada Post for all your bigger shipping needs, or to buy postage stamps! The only knock, and that is if you stray outside of the flyer, is the prices, known to be a little bit more than anywhere else, and the fact that this used to be open in the wee dark of the morning. Other than those things, another place to spend your dollar, and carries a good wide assortment. read more

After two years of visiting this location, I finally decided I had enough. Avoid this location at all costs. The the post office guy is the only one act professional, knowledgeable and efficient. The customer service in other departments are terrible. All the staffs treat you like you are going to steal something. They kept walking pass you. However if you ask for any type of assistance, they have the look of you are causing them inconvenience. Since I discovered their website & App, I'm never going back in this location again. read more

As Simon K. mentioned, finally there is some competition to London Drugs in the area. This is one of the go-to places when you need some things around the house. Parking is available on the street. Unfortunately there's no parking lot for this location. Not that I know of at least. The store is quite new, which means it's overall quite nice and shiny, both outside and inside. You can get all your drugstore needs, as well as get your snack on. There is a post office in the back, which is good to know. read more

The worst customer service. I understand the hours. I had put in prescription at the pharmacy and had to wait 15 - 20 minutes. While I waiting I got the other items I wanted to buy. I started to pay and was heard to go get the prescription. I went back to finish paying the items.. I was yelled at a anger employees saying they wanted to leave they are closed. I replied "I understand so sorry, I got a prescription and it was for my kid". I trying to pay so quickly and they kept on yelling at me another employee heard and came from the other side of the store. This store hires those that yell making you so uncomfortable. read more

This location has one of the worst cosmetics departments of any drugstore in Vancouver plus the rudest staff of life. I went in to pick up a few specific things for my NYE look. I had researched before to make sure they carried the items and had a list in hand. I entered the store and immediately this late 40's bottle blonde with the worst tacky blue eye shadow started rattling off her sales schpeel, to which I acknowledged and politely thanked her but did not stop to chat. I looked for the specific brand I was after and walked to the display, trying a few testers of the item I wanted. All this time the clerk was hovering about 5-10 feet away, staring at me. It made me so uncomfortable that I stopped and looked at her and asked if she wanted anything, to which she asked me if I wanted anything. I said no, just looking, but she did not move away, if anything she just watched me more intently which was really rude. I finally decided on a shade of powder and picked a box up, just checking the box to make sure it hadn't been opened or tampered with, as I had made the mistake before of buying product that was obviously a return that had been re-boxed in the wrong box. The clerk then snapped at me from literally 2 feet away "don't do that!" To which I explained that I was just checking to make sure it wasn't opened. She reiterated something about not opening boxes, but she was obviously just looking for something to jump on me for. I am young, attractive, fashionable and I often find older sales women pushy and jealous, and not very helpful, in fact, judging from her horrible make up and hair color, I probably know more about beauty products than she did. At that point she was practically standing on top of me and trying to physically intimidate me so I informed her I have panic disorder and if she didn't back off I was going to hyperventilate in her store. That seemed to cool her jets and she backed off enough so I could get out of the aisle and escape to the front check out, completely forgetting about the rest of my list. I usually check out in cosmetics to skip the line but this woman was so rude and aggressive I honestly did not feel safe around her. Next time I will just make the longer trip to Sephora where it's more expensive, but at least the attendants are polite and don't try to attack you for no reason. read more

Always lined up but an extra star for the free parking. Ahh, the joys of Hasu. (That's my version of Hastings-Sunrise. Sounds like a type of Japanese food, and not in the least desirable, doesn't it?) Yep, prices are through the roof, too. What is unfortunate is my favourite pharmacist upgraded to Sogra which is good for him but not for me. So now, when this is my pharmacy of the day, I deal with a teenage pharmacist. (Not exactly, but she sure looks good for her age!) She doesn't know too much about any condition or medication and if you ask to pay for something "pharmacy related" when the front has only one cashier 5-slow-people deep, she becomes easily disgruntled. I mean, come on, she did not go to Pharmacy school to ring in items without a prescription! Too bad, as otherwise, I like this store because it's always half empty when I go (sans the 5 person, ever-so-slow line up) and it's the only one where I've ever seen police frequent. But, I will say, it is definitely consistent with my other Shoppers' reviews. read more

Oct.25 Shoppers Drug Mart is very popular in Ontario where I am from. I would say it is the drug store of choice. On the west coast I find it to be London Drugs. SDM is where you can get the most expensive Oreos in the city! Really, why anyone shops here is beyond me. Everything is more expensive here than anywhere else it seems. I just went in because the cosmetic section looked like they had a large selection but as for make up purchases, I now prefer the department store. It looks like they have every celebrity perfume ever made, then I saw the life size cutout of Justin Bieber...OMG....how many teenage girls have had there picture taken with that!?!? If I was 16 I might shop here just to see it. But at my age I prefer to save money so I will usually take my business elsewhere. It was good to see something -- ANYthing going in to this new-ish strip mall and it does seem like a lot of empty retail space is available in our ever improving area. We already have a London Drugs just a few blocks down so Shoppers is a bit overkill. The big deal on the place is that it contains the new Post Office for the area which used to be housed in a small, nice, neighbourhood office and art supply store much closer to us. So it's like they have a 'captive audience' -or so they thought. What I think is wrong is the price gouging. Shoppers is like a glorified 7/11, lets face it so who do they think they are? One example is Kicking Horse coffee. Who in their right mind would spend 16.99 when they could walk the few blocks to London Drugs and buy it for the sometimes 5 bucks less?! Eggs and milk are insanely priced as are chips and cookies. If I have to spend that much I'd rather give my money to a small local grocer. Any ways the bottom line is before choosing Shoppers...... Shop around... and check those pesky flyers that come into your mail room regularly, there just may be a deal or two.... or not. read more

Impossible to browse cosmetics without having a saleslady hover over you. If I wanted constant surveillance I would shop at the Bay or Holts. There is one cosmetics woman who is very nice, but the rest watch you like a hawk. I don't steal and I don't appreciate it when you treat me like I do. Cashiers are really overworked and unfriendly. I have been overcharged twice and last time the cow told me to get to the back of the line, which I had already waited in for over 10 minutes and they are cheap and only have one cashier at the exit. Since it was only a .69 box of kleenex i went and grabbed another one and walked out. I dread shopping here. read more

This pharmacy has been hopelessly frustrating. Avoid it if you want to get a prescription filled in less than 2 weeks. They lost my prescription, lost the approval from Pharmacare, and have not called back when asked. I am still waiting for medication 10 days after my first visit. Unbelievable! read more

I've always been a fan of SDM, but I am not a fan of this one! First, everything seems way too overpriced, I can walk down to London Drugs and find most things waaaaay cheaper, especially the makeup, toiletries and hair color Second, the postal outlet, oh dear god the postal outlet, I have never recieved worse service before. There is one super friendly woman that works there that is wonderful but all the other clerks are terrible, they are so rude, very unhelpful and just generally unpleasant. I had to wait in line for a man to rudely tell me my package isn't there, even though I knew it was (online tracking), I quickly went home, grabbed the slip and returned to wait in line again for roughly 15 minutes. Remaining calm, I asked him why he didnt see it before when I had just been there, he mumbled something about the slip (even though I had all the numbers associated with said package AND MY ID and he simply refused to look anything more up) I went on to say how I had picked up many a package with this info and never had a problem before, he then just stopped looking at me and stopped talking to me. I asked him a couple other questions and he would barely acknowledge my existence, So I left in a huff only hoping to get a 'opps sorry' or 'my apologies' but got no such thing. Anyways that's just the latest in my trips to postal outlet, I have many sordid tales. 2 stars because the pharmacy is great. read more

Phyllis at Canada Post (who works on Saturdays) is a disaster to deal with. She lacks basic competence and customer service skills to handle basic inquiries as I have seen time and time again. Today she accepted 8-9 large boxes and suitcases from a young man who was moving across the country. After waiting an hour for her to process these, my pregnant body waddled to the front of the line to have my box refused as "they were full." She said they wouldn't be able to take any more boxes until Wednesday or later. So now all customers who come in will be refused until Weds or later. (A more competent individual would have perhaps taken some of the young man's boxes and directed him to a larger location for the rest). I explained that I had been waiting an hour (in full visibility) and asked her to at least tape up my box (an Amazon return). She laughed and refused. This wasn't my only negative experience with her but was by far the worst. Won't be coming here again. read more

Staff is unremarkable bordering on unfriendly and the overly aggressive security woman cut my shopping time short as I felt rather insulted for being so obviously followed all over the store. I had high hopes for this place. I came here 'cause I was in the hood and thought that I would save time by coming here to get some of my needs instead of the location by my house. I should've just stuck to the one at my place. They're not as stalked with certain items. I guess it is based on demand and the fact that there isn't desirable walk by traffic. I came here for some food insulation and soles. I also used the post office for some stamps. read more

This place used to be 24, but it's open till 11 now. No more late night Shopper's adventure anymore :( The lady at the counter is very nice, but she talks a little too much lol. I just want to check out and go, but she seems to like to comment on the stuff you buy. I mean that's nice of you to talk to me... but a little creepy lol j/k Of course, I just smile and nod. The lady at the post office doesn't like to be asked too many questions. I've seen her get really bitchy with other customers, but she has always been nice to me cause I just drop off my stuff only and never ask question. Shoppers is usually pricer than other store and I would understand why if they where ALL 24 hours, but they aren't. In Toronto, most of them were and you're playing the price for it. The last time I've visited the store at 2748 East Hastings location on Friday, December 9/11. Even though I didn't ask for help or any kind of advice (and that was it, I think, .....the clerks seemed to be all bored, having nothing to do!), I've experienced a very poor & rude service from one of them (5 others were watching silently the whole "show") from cosmetic's department. I ended up not being able to complete my purchase and.... being kicked out of the store accused of....stealing!!! I was totally humiliated in front of my friend & other people, my grocery bags checked by the clerk, being forced to leave. The whole situation left me shocked & "frozen" to the point that I couldn't even explain myself. Merry Christmas to you to lady too!!!!! Will never forget you, even though I don't even know your name! Shame on you to treat people like that! For sure I will never visit the store again, nor recommend it to anybody else to do so! read more

Really really disappointed with customer service! I was going in to fill a prescription (I spend about 200 dollars per month at this location) I inadvertedly locked my keys into my car. I went into the store and begged to use their phone as my purse was in locked in the car too. By the way, I was dressed nicely and it was 8 pm at night. The staff (two of them) outright lied to me and told me that "they had no phone that could call out". Really????? Because couldn't phone my husband for help, I ended up paying 20 dollars in cab fare to go home and back. It was a little courtesy that could have saved me a lot of trouble. I am taking business elsewhere and will tell everyone else I know, to do so as well. read more

Stoked on this location!! The red haired young lady in cosmetics is super nice & helpful.I got exactly what i wanted in the make up. I used to favour London Drugs but in the last decade Shoppers has more & more products to offer.I love the Balea brand,especially the coconut hair products. read more

For its size, its a great store to live near. No complaints about any of the staff, each and every person I've dealt with has been helpful and pleasant. Store is kept neat and they try to keep the sale items in stock and displayed. read more
