Really convenient Shoppers Drug Mart location, being right at the Marine Dr skytrain station. One thing I notice here is they're always sold out of so many products! Especially in the candy and snack section. The shelves are consistently over half empty. I thought it was a one time thing the first time I noticed it, but I soon realized every time I went there over half the items were sold out. What's the issue? Can they not order more stock? This location also doesn't carry fresh produce or have a post office. Other than that, its a pretty typical Shoppers Drug Mart. read more

I find that this Shoppers is super small. The cosmetic section seems to take a big chuck out of it. It doesn't have much option on dairy products or items from the freezers like instant frozen food. Part of the freezer is empty too. Isle are spacious to walk in but if you are looking to a quick grab and go on a particular item, you might as well just drive to the near by Super Store. As well, parking is not free here. There are some very limited free parking if you don't mind walking. The skytrain stops here. Was looking to get the flu vaccination for my fiancé who has diabetes. The website indicated they were one of the few locations that had supply. I called the pharmacy and the pharmacist who answered corroborated that they had the vaccine. I called at 6pm on Sunday. I was advised that although the pharmacy closed at midnight, they were would not administer the vaccine after 7.00 pm. I confirmed with her since I was coming from Burnaby. Rushed from Burnaby to the pharmacy arriving about 6:35. When I arrived there was a sign in the pharmacy that stated they were out of the public vaccine and only had the private vaccine. So that was misleading on the website and by the pharmacist although maybe I should have been clearer when I asked. I then spoke to the pharmacist, she advised me that they stopped administering the vaccine at 6:30. I mentioned that I had just called and was advised 7:00 pm and that we had rushed down. She repeated that they were no longer giving flu shots. I'm fairly certain that she was the same person I had spoken to on the phone. Website should indicate whether they have the public or private vaccinations and not impressed by the pharmacist telling me over the phone they would give the vaccinations up to 7:00 pm then after we rushed down, changing it to 6:30 pm and not even acknowledging what they advised over the phone. read more

Also, since the checkout area was already small, they did not need to have an extended small counter to attach to the cashier counter. It was difficult for customers to stand there and to get the items as the items slid from the cashier counter to the extended small counter. read more

Great new location for the Marine area, this will be one busy intersection as it is. Just open til 10pm. Not the biggest location compared to the Collingwood. Ice cream available in the back, Breyers on sale today. As soon as you walk in, the men's colognes are locked up in a glass case on the right side; not worth as much as women's, go figure. The previous Thursday after doing my shopping I realized the confused and angry young woman working the register had not utilized my discount although I had mentioned it twice First while she was SCREAMING at the 11 people on line to use the self checkout I'm certain I told her then and again when I presented my card So yesterday when I arrived for my weekly shop I gave my reciept yto the cashier on my way in and explained the situation to the cashier on duty ASHISH CHEHAL Did my shopping and 15 minutes later I come up with my purchases He very angrily demands my debit card I comply and he tells me its to protect him from FRAUD I actually laugh but ok He then starts writing done the 10 number bar codes by hand It takes a really long time as it's a large list He has clearly made several mistakes as products keep showing up on the screen that I didnt purchase This goes on and on and on I start watching the screen and realise hes unable to come to the same total as the one on my reciept he goes going back and forth Adding things Removing things I quietly ask him if he shouldn't go and get a manager as there obviously a issue For this I get a really dirty look The security guard is stomping back and forth glaring at me. Finally we get to my total I ask when a manager will be on duty. Surprise!! There one here right now Hes gone 10MINUTES and comes back with an angry greasy hair man in no uniform Who after I explain that the cashier had completely botched the whole transaction He replied SO WHAT ? Yes I did EVENTUALLY get it done but it was handled very unprofessionaly. Ok don't get me wrong, I love Shoppers - they stock a lot of my cosmetic staples namely, La Roche-Posay and Avène and I'm usually skeptical about reward programs, but I think theirs is great. I have my favourite Shoppers locations (actually the one in Yellowknife, NWT, is my absolute favourite) but this one here, as new as it is, is not the toppest of notches. I've always found that I have to be extra patient when I come to this Marine Drive location because the service / staff don't know how to do process more complex transactions than a simple sale. Beyond this, I do have to recount a particular event that happened during my visit last week. I had an unidentified infection and I went straight to the pharmacist, hoping that he/she would have some sort of inkling of what I had and indeed, he did. This saved me a trip to the doctor, as he was able to recommend me something over the counter, which I am very grateful for. But, ok, great (any pharmacist at any location or other pharmacy would have been able to do so). This particular pharmacist kept smirking and making snide and subtle little jokes while explaining the details of my condition which I didn't really react to in the moment because I wanted to gtfo of there and have my infection eradicated, like, stat. But, as soon as I left the premises and had digested what had just happened, I felt disgusted and really offended that this health professional was ridiculing my condition. You're supposed to be a so-called professional, and moreover, you're in health, so it's inherent in your line of work to help people heal, not make a mockery of them. This one is close to Marine Drive station which is perfect as I can go either before or after work. I came in here looking for hair care supplies mainly bleach to correct some of the bleach banding issues that one of my hair dressers did a few weeks ago. I was looking for a volume 20 peroxide with a powder developer as well as a purple toning shampoo. I did come here before, however, they were in the process of setting up. Now that they seem to have more of their ducks in a row there was more product on the shelves. The dietary supplement section still needs a bit of work in terms of selections of bars. read more

This place and T&T owned by Loblaws company - why all the zoning parking crap? Went to T&T market prior to the SDM few doors down in the same complex. Went to the check-out, presented the parking receipt to be reimbursed. The dude said I parked in T&T spaces indicated on the stub. (All the spaces share the same open underground lot), "but you parked in their T&T spaces". Unless you're shopping on foot / public transit, this place is NOT car friendly. Good luck parking underground around Xmas chaos. Going to the Cineplex? Parking costs extra! You have to have a lot of patience to shop at this location as the bored staff are so annoying especially in the cosmetics dept. I already filed a complaint with the store manager but obviously nothing was done about it as I was there last night and again the staff was bugging everyone that came in you need help you need help then they could come back to me over again. I usually ignore them and they go away for a bit but Management should notice they are overstaffed or give them more work to do so shoppers can come in and actually shop rather then deal with the pesky staff. read more
