It's a shame, I have been to thos location two weeks ago and the air conditioning is still not fixed. They have their staff working in a heated store without air conditioning or fans. They are too cheap to go to Home Depot or Lowe's to buy a few big fans for their customers and employees. They need to be ashamed of themselves. I shop at this store often and have had pretty good service and interactions most of the time. I was at the register of a cashier named Kayla. I was not greeted, which has now become accepted by me unfortunately. I asked Kayla if I could have bags ,she noted once to indicate yes but never bagged any of my items and continued to move my items to the belt. I ended up having to bag all of my items myself. I requested Kayla to call a manager and she ignored my request. When I completed my purchase I saw a gentleman named James. I asked if he were a manager, he said yes, I introduced myself and explained what happened to Mr. James said he would talk to her about this issue. I said I was treated with so much disrespect and asked if I should email someone, Mr. James response was "you can if you don't think I am going to speak with her. I told you that I would handle it" Mr. James was very aggressive and did not exercise much concern about my issue. I have contacted corporate. I am awaiting a call from the District manager. On Sunday morning September 18th, 2022 at 9:00 AM, I went to Shoppers Food Warehouse to do my food shopping, when we arrived there were no available motorized/handicap shopping carts. The store had five (5), all five were in the store UNPLUGGED and not workingat 9:00 in the morning. My son plugged all of them in so the next customer could gave access and, reported the situation to a young lady behind the Customer Service desk on the inside. Her only comments were "Thank you ". No, I'll report this to management or anything similar. I'm a senior citizen and I'm also handicapped It is a FEDERAL law that stores should be handicapped accessible at all time. This clearly shows that this particular store doesn't care about their senior or handicapped customers. Either the night manager did not do their duties at closing or the opening manager did do theirs (which one was it). I'm going g to report this issue to both their headquarter's corporate office and to the FEDERAL government. (I'm sorry I can't let this one go). I called the store and spoke to a manager named Renee. she apologized and. after taking my name and phone number she asked me that before I do that she will make a report and someone will be calling me to discuss my concerns. We'll I haven't heard from anyone yet!!. I left and spent my money at Safeway. Safeway had ALL their motorized/handicap carts WORKING. Shopper's lost my money and business that day. If they don't handle their Customer service better, I will never spend another dime in that store and, I will notify the TV news, to expose their POOR MANAGEMENT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.THIS IS AN ISSUE to all customers. This store is ok, nothing fancy. They usually have what I need and I've never had any negative experiences with the staff. Beware of the seafood section though. I recently bought some "fresh" crab meat, and when I got home to open it, it looked and smelled so disgusting that I had to toss it. Also, and it may not be fair to bring this up since it happened almost 4 years ago, but I once ordered from their hot food section and ended up getting food poisoning. Basically, this is a decent place to get most of your regular groceries, but when it comes to deli, fresh seafood, and hot food bars you may want to go somewhere else. read more

Shoppers Food Warehouse, Clinton MD is awful. Went to the grocery store Friday evening and purchased ground beef for Sunday's dinner. Realizing ground beef does not last long in the fridge, I figured it was safe for a day and a half. Wrong... I took it out the fridge this morning and it had gone from red to a serious dark gray. I took it back to the store and just got a stare (no apology) as the lady rung up my refund. I was so upset I started to walk up and down the aisles showing the rotten meat yelling "hear ye - hear ye". By far the most ghetto store I have ever been to the shelves are always baron, staff and management are nasty and rude. Very limited choices in stock. I complained to the assistant manager and she simply said maybe you should continue to shop in Virginia. I purchased a smithfield ham from shoppers in Clinton Md. the day before thanksgiving. I baked the ham on 350 for 45min. the ham came out mushey like bad crab meat. since this is very unnatural for pork, it appeared the ham could possibly have been spoiled. I was afraid to serve this ham to my family for thanksgiving. When I returned the item to shoppers the next morning the customer service was very rude and would not refund money. I got a gift card instead. It wasn't about the refund but I would have appreciated a simple apology for the inconvenient event. On Wednesday December 23, 2020 I placed an order for 24 cupcakes cake vanilla cake with buttercream icing for $28.99. Angie took my order and I took a picture of my order form. Sunday December 27, 2020 someone else picked up my order for me. Once the person brought the order to me, that's when I noticed my order was wrong. I received 1/4 sheet vanilla cake with buttercream icing for $28.99. I called customer service at 7:45pm and talked to a very rude person that talked fast and I do not remember her name. She had me on hold for a very long time and then she hung up on me. I called her back and she told me she talked to her manager and they told me to come into the store tomorrow for a full refund. As I was asking her a question she hung up on me again. The next day Monday December 28, 2020 I went to the bakery and they told me to go customer service. I talked to customer service and then the manager came to talk to me. The manager called the night time manager from the night before to talk to them about my situation. Then the manager asked me "Where is the wrong order of the cake"? I said "it's in the children's stomach from the birthday party last night". The manager said "Since I did not bring the cake back in full then I can not get my full refund". I only received $14.00 back. I went back to talk to the bakery and they said the manager works 4:00am-noon and told me to call them tomorrow. I am an unhappy customer, I will tell everyone not to order a cake from this company/store, and I will never purchase a cake from this bakery/company/store again. I want my full $28.99 back. Never again. I saw a mouse eating nuts near the produce section of the store. Bad self check out lanes (you have to ring your groceries and bag them at the end). You used to be able to drop them in the bag immediately. So there is always a back up. Bad customer service; lazy people. The nicest person is the security guard-always personable and smiling. We have to demand better. read more

This is my favorite grocery store. I can only think of good things to say. The produce is wonderful along with selections for meat. I need to bring up the fact that the front employees are wonderful. I always get assistance on the self-serve cash register with packing my bags quickly. They are so nice and I've never had any problems. However one day the bakery lady wanted to lecture me about making requests ahead of time. I told her to stop lecturing me. The older lady must've thought I was a child. I bid her ado without getting my requested item. But this is only one time out of the 10+ years that I have lived here. So I need to give the highest rating because I have had almost no problems here. The prices of the groceries are very reasonable. I even see people with DC car tags coming down to buy here. I almost forgot the wonderful pharmacy that they have. Dr. Green is so conscientious about medicine for his store and the people who shop there. He is part of why I go to shoppers food warehouse in Clinton Maryland. God bless him and the rest of the employees that work there. read more
