Beautiful home furnishings store on Commercial. Everything in here it's good quality and tasteful. There are items for large spaces as well as small spaces. Their seashell chandelier was breathtaking...definitely one of a kind and something that will fit someone's home decor. we went into the shop looking for a dresser , when I tried to open and close the top drawer it was stuck. the items on top of the chest fell and one broke. Now the shakedown begins . I'm told I have to pay for the overpriced item. Coming from a retail background I thought this was strange, never in 30 years experience would I ever force someone to pay for a damage item. It is the cost of doing business. Needless to say they have lost any future business I might have transacted with them. Last year alone I purchased over $3000 worth of home furnishings from them. I don't think any reputable business functions this way. The item in question was $170 not going to break their business. read more

Not sure why the owners of this store are in the brick and mortar retail business. Every time I've been here I have encountered rude and bossy service. Just this past week I was so fed up with the unwelcoming atmosphere that I immediately rushed through the one way path the store has set up due to Covid and left without looking at anything else much less purchasing anything. Such a shame. Merchandise is beautiful and perfect for beachy summer homes in PTown. Unfortunately, the woman behind the counter is very unpleasant and treated me like I was a child. While browsing, I stumbled upon a beautiful sideboard piece and tried to open the drawers (considering one would use the item to store things, I wanted to see how the drawers work). I heard a women say something loudly and so I turned and asked if the drawers open, assuming she had said something to try and help me out. Instead, all I heard was a command in a stern, almost degrading tone as she said "It does open. I'm asking you not to," without a crack of a smile or a "please". My husband and I were so disturbed we quickly left. My suggestion is to work on some customer service skills. The prime location will do a business no good if the staff is unwelcoming and cold, no matter how lovely the merchandise. And at those prices, they really need to provide a more pleasant experience for customers. I will walk by without even a glance into the store from now on. read more

Loved the store at first sight and purchased two beautiful chairs to be shipped to my showroom in LA. Unfortunately two weeks later I had to follow up as I hadn't received them. I called and they had no idea about my order (the order was already paid for on my amex) Unfortunately they had lost my paid order, had no excuses and were unapologetic for their mistake. I still have to wait another two weeks, and I still have to pay the shipping on the order. If you want to buy something from this store, make sure you can walk away with it...DO NOT have it shipped! read more

Oh how I wish I could afford something from this store!!!! It is so cute! They have a lot of nautical themed items to decorate your abode with. There is an octopus candelabra that I want gracing my home but alas, I cannot afford it :( An octopus pillow. A chair with the backing to resemble a spine! Whale pillows, steampunk influenced pieces ( I've only seen two there and not very often). I obsess over this store. I can spend hours in it looking at the same stuff over and over again. We visit Provincetown every year and every year we enter Shor and are always greeted by someone with far too much attitude. Not to mention the ridiculous rules they have in place because of covid. Let me be clear I've no problem following protocol when it comes to keeping everyone safe but the idea that you have to walk in one door and must exit another door is ridiculous. Especially when you are the only one in the store. We actually wanted to go back to look at something we passed while walking through and was told that we would not be allowed to. We were told we had to exit the store and re-enter if we wanted to see something or purchase something we walked by a moment ago. Again... there was no one else in the store but us. Every year they are easily the most unfriendly staff of any place we've shopped in Provincetown. If they only realized the business we could give them perhaps they would be a bit more pleasant. Loosen up people... at least try and be nice. read more

Bought two "man climbing rope" wall sculptures from the store. They were not sure they had any in stock but the person behind the desk found two in a box. My mistake not to open them and inspect. When I got home the hanging knob was missing from both boxes and the rope part of the sculpture was bent on one of them. They were clearly used and returned. I can fix it and try to find a hanging knob at Home Depot. Not happy they passed off used stuff as new. Guess they don't expect stupid tourists to notice. I go to ptown a few times a year. Will pass on visiting this store in the future. UPDATE: The store owner reached out to me to solve the issue. So I am changing the rating from one star to three because they were responsive. I ended up going to the hardware store and purchasing a drawer knob to replace the fixture that was missing a part. The person at the hardware store saw that the threads in the hanging part I did have (half of what it should have been) were stripped. Makes me feel this was previously used. To the store owner, thanks for reaching out but at this point I resolved the issue on my own. read more

Loved this store.....interesting mix of modern & vintage home stuff. Industrial art lamps, baskets from Africa, incredible pillows.....some have sea creatures, others have clowns & flowers. Staff was friendly without being agressive. Good prices too. I bought 4 martini glasses that look expensive for only $15 each! Definitely a must visit while in P-town! read more

Although the store looks beautiful, the staff is unpleasant, unhelpful and unethical. They displayed several small paintings and claimed via a sign that they were the 'final 6' they had in stock. This prompted me to buy them. About an hour later I returned to pick up my pictures only to find 6 more hanging in the same spot under the same sign that stated 'final 6'. The rude sales person laughed it off and said 'we found some more'. Very deceitful! When I asked a few more questions, the sales person, who also said he was one of the owners, couldn't be bothered to help me. Once he had my money, he was obviously done with me. It was such a horrible experience that I will never return there. Bad service is bad enough. But to be lied to and taken advantage of is another. Buyer beware at Shor in Provincetown. And have a thick skin if you're dealing with the rude owners. read more

I stumbled across Shor while vacationing. Gorgeous store, scrumptious decor with many one of a kind never going to see anywhere else items. This boutique is first class. I found my "diving men" bronze wall art here and absolutely couldn't go back to the west coast without them. The staff was generous, helpful, and more than happy to take care of all my shopping needs. They delayed mailing my purchase home so that it would arrive at the same time I did. Two days later Fed Ed was at my door. Thank you again to sales staff and owner! I highly recommend stopping by. read more

This store is my favorite source for all things home. Style is sophisticated and fresh. Went in the other day to find a housewarming gift for friends. So many choices it was hard to pick but the owners helped me pick the perfect things: anchor pillow, anchor bathmat and anchor bottle opener (something for everyone, tied together with a seaside theme).
