Let me start by saying that if you are looking for a luxury cabin experience, this is not the place for you. This is a rustic, true cabin in the woods experience. My family used to stay here in the summer back in the 80's. For my birthday this year, I was craving some nostalgia. I hadn't been here in over 30 years and literally nothing has changed (except the check in process). It's still the quiet, rustic campground with the picturesque view of the lake. We stayed in Big Pine, a little studio cabin at the top of the hill. It was warm, cozy and clean. Personally, I found the dated decor and the creaky floor endearing and comforting. The bed was comfy and the shower was great (unlike most hotels we have stayed in). It was the perfect setting for a quick, quiet getaway. Pulling into the driveway and seeing the Shore Acres sign, I felt a pit in my stomach and got a little choked up. Memories of my childhood came flooding back, which probably makes me a bit biased in my review. And I did miss checking in at the main cabin like we used to back in the day. The only reason I am giving them a 4 out of 5 is that it takes a lot for me to give a 5...like, literal perfection. The screen on the front door wouldn't lock, which meant we couldn't have the door open without tying our puppy up inside so she wouldn't run out. The toilet did run for a while after each flush, which could be minimally annoying. And the carpet, although clean, could stand to be replaced. But, that's about it. Linens and towels were clean and soft and the kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. And I can't forget the girls who checked us in. They were super sweet and even gave our little puppy some treats. I would absolutely stay here again. I'd love to stay in the big cabin down by the lake again, like we did when I was a kid.

Is the location charming? Yes. Does the location have character? You bet. Is the on site staff friendly? More than you can believe. So why not a 5 star review? It really depends on what you are looking for. You get what you pay for. For the most part, we really enjoyed our stay, and the location. Here were the reasons I did not give a 5 star review. The cabins and furniture within are dated. Could really use some updates, newer furniture, some paint, some doors (we had curtains in place of doors), some new carpet, I refused to walk barefoot around the place. I get it, it's old, but so is my house and we update it to keep it nice. If some clean carpet, paint and furniture was placed, it would be amazing. Second downgrade, I wish we had known there was a family reunion taking place. We felt way out of place. They were all out at the pool everyday and using all the facilities and we just felt out of place so we ended up not using any of the facilities during the stay and kept to ourselves. Our decision, yes, but it's kind of hard to fit in at a family reunion lol. A heads up would have been nice. You can walk to the water, they have a dock, and there is a "beach" area you can go to if you want to swim or just sit by the water.

King Bed & Twin Bed - Lonepine #107

We rented Lonepine #107. It was perfectly located right on the lake and has its own dock! (Literally like 20 feet away from the cabin) We were there over a busy weekend and it was fun and relaxing. All the neighbors were quiet at night and friendly, we got lucky with a good group of other renters. I would stay again. This is a smaller cabin, perfect for 3-4 people max. There is a king bed and a twin bed in the same room. One bath. Sheets and towels provided. Most kitchen utensils provided. I would bring paper towels, tin foil, wine opener and coffee pot filters with you (regular basket type). The oven/stove in the kitchen is smaller than normal full size. Also bring extra TP for the restroom. (Only one roll was provided and it was rough cheap TP.) King bed wasn't the softest or most comfy bed ever made, but it wasn't horrible either. All in all, this is a cabin not the Hilton and it was awesome! I would love to stay again! We had a few ants in the kitchen, but its a cabin in the mountains... FYI: There is a DVD player in the cabin, it stuck a few times trying to open/close it, but played fine. Pool, spa, horseshoes. volleyball, swing set, bbq grills and more all within steps from each cabin in this community.

Had a great time, the cabin was cute and had a great view. The lady that worked on site was AMAZING. Thank you for a wonderful time....

Not a bad find! We went up for a birthday getaway, and for me it was a bit woodsy. I was reluctant to stay especially since there was a yellow tractor parked next to the cabin. Ok... Well we walked in, and I was taken by surprise that it was cozy. A rustic modern feel a great tv and DVD with only 1 channel but who needs tv when your in big bear! Bathrooms were clean and kitchen was cute. Just about 100 feet to the shore itself and friend people that actually, smile and say hello when you walk by. It looks like they are remodeling all the units and that explains the tractor. So I hope who ever comes here in the future has the same great time...

The staff is very sweet and the view is amazing. Unfortunately the cabin could have been cleaner. The carpets and chairs were damp when we checked in. Update. Everything in the freezer thawed including ice cream that made a huge mess. The freezer was even at the highest setting

The lucky charms box I was talking about in my review that was used to fix a broken door window...

Not much rental activity except in the winter, damage to the property that went unreported by housekeeping, and just the general vibe that our small cabin was a very low priority for them. Finally, we made the decision to change management this summer after we completed a remodel. I found Leanne in a Big Bear FB group online along with several other PMs who responded to a post I made about looking for new management. Leanne was the only one who provided helpful, tangible information when she reached out to me. We spoke and then I decided she and SkyHigh cabins would be our new managers. The onboarding process was smooth and detailed. They are extremely professional and walked me through the different stages of getting ready to "go live" on the various platforms they use. It took about 6 weeks to get everything completely switched over. But when we did go live in mid-October 2025, all I can say is WOW!! We've had 12 reservations made in just over a week's time! We didn't have 12 reservations in the last year total with the old company, so this has been very, very exciting for us. Aside from all of that, Leanne, Jennifer and their team are very communicative and helpful. If you are looking for new management, I cannot recommend them enough. Just do what they tell you to do, use their vendors, and follow their lead. They have figured out the algorithms and rental platforms to such a degree that your property will actually start to pay for itself. We were on the verge of selling our cabin, but now, we will be able to hold on to it. Call them today!!

What I noticed about the location of this cabin was that it was further away from the heavy tourist areas but close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and shops. So if you are looking for peace and quiet this is the perfect getaway from the everyday stresses of life. This cabin includes a living room with a cute fireplace, a small but full kitchen with a eating area, full bathroom (water pressure is good and it heats up pretty quickly), a bedroom with a closet, access to the backyard, a front porch and a cozy loft with a flatscreen TV that I didn't touch once. I was primarily there solo to detox from the busy life of Los Angeles and not to ski since I was there beginning of May. Snuggle Bear Cabin had everything I needed to detox. I laid out my yoga mat and meditation pillow upstairs in the loft and it had an inviting view of tall trees out the window. It was a perfect environment to reflect on life, letting all creative juices flow, read and write. The solitude was exceptionally welcome. The final full day that I was there, my boyfriend came up to join me. And really...all we did was snuggle. I highly recommend this beautiful cabin for anyone to deeply relax and enjoy the natural wonders of Big Bear. Thank you, Melia, for his wonderful experience.

This is super dangerous and luckily my youngest daughter did not get burned. There is no reason to allow your water heater to pump out scolding hot water, that is a simple adjustment. Fan in the bathroom is broken upstairs so to get air flow from a shower, you need to open the window which is in direct view of the neighbors living space. How the cleaning service does not notice this is confusing. The towels in the bathrooms are literally rags, all mixed matched, some with holes and super thin. Just a bit odd when you need 4 towels to dry off. The kitchen did not have a decent quality or array of items needed. The dishwasher had a rubber band holding the utensil tray on. The fireplace/living room was why we choose this location so that was as expected. The lingering Christmas decorations were a bit odd but with the overall quality of the property, it makes me think the property is just not either rented often or maintained. And last but not least, while we stayed for 2 nights, keep in mind we were out and about all day, a critter chewed all the wiring in our engine. It definitely was at this cabin since our engine light went on when we were departing on our last day. We assumed it was a faulty sensor since my car is new but as it turns out, $1,067 later, something ate through our engine while it was parked at the unit. And, that $1,067 may not fix it. If it doesn't work, the dealership told me they would need to replace this entire section. I did not bother to ask how much that was going to be. There are signs all over reminding you to not feed critters and you can not use their city issued trash receptacles. They want you to take the trash with you to this local dump which for this cabin, was in a convenient location. Not a big deal they want you to take the trash, but I am assuming the critter issue is a much bigger problem. We also opted to have the trip insurance just in case of weather. Although they cover a wide array of random things, the one thing they have listed as being not covered is.......VERMIN. I notified the management and they responded with a we will look into it. Michelle' I responded immediately asking what had happened and that i was unaware of any issues while renting. I feel like this type of communication was rude and absolutely presumptuous that i caused the damage. You see, i went to Big Bear when everything was covered in snow. It had been covered for the last weeks from a previous snowfall, and the snow had not melted yet. When i arrived at my cabin, it was completely covered - including the deck. We were not able to use the deck for this reason. Obviously the rental company did not shovel the snow in between renters. There was no further response from her and she escalated the issue to the AirBnb team. There was no dialogue or attempt to speak with me regarding this, which I believe would have deescalated the situation because i attached a picture clearly showing that the deck was covered in snow/ice. It did not snow while we were there - this was obviously from previous snowfall. The damage pictures she sent looked like a burn marks on the deck. Those burn mark pictures were soaked in snow melt and ice. Obviously this could not have been done by me i my picture shows the deck covered in snow. Till today, after escalating the issue the rental company has not followed up with myself or AirBnb. It is unprofessional and unnecessary to work with your customers this way. This company turned my great vacation into anxiety when i came home. I would never rent with them again. We thought we would run out of things for them to do. Not at all. The adults were either at the sauna, jacuzzi, kitchen, outside in the snow walking the 2 acres of property or just relaxing in one of the many comfy nooks. I highly recommend Edgewood Mansion for any type of event whether it's a birthday trip, family reunion, corporate retreat or any other purpose where you want to feel like you're at home, or provided for like a Queen. The location which is located higher up in the mountains is away from the traffic. The accommodations are immaculate and the concierge services provided by Chantal who was available to us 24/7 before we got there and during, was spot on. Giant hot tub available Arcade Pool Cornhole Pool table Table tennis Pickle ball Giant fire place outside for s'mores! So much to do! Only thing was our microwave was humming some awkward noise when in use.... Love the kitchen Oven Microwave Freezer fridge it's all here Each room has its own BBQ! I recommend 2nd floor rooms. Your balcony with bbq is private! It also has a table n chairs outside. First floor rooms same but everyone can walk by and less privacy. Resort is very close to big bear lake ! All convenient and would love to stay here again for our next Big Bear trip!

It is also close to Vons and Stater Bros markets. This resort has many onsite amenities. It has a recreational center with arcade games, billiard table, fools ball, air hockey, a fitness room. There is also pickle ball courts, basketball court, table tennis, corn hole, bocce ball , a mini putting green area and a children's playground. In addition, there are swimming pools and jacuzzis. Each unit has a full kitchen stocked with the basic necessities for cooking. Each unit also has a private bbq grill, washer and dryer for laundry. They even provided seasoning packets you can use to season your food. I especially liked the "garlic junkie" seasoning. It really enhanced the chicken and the burgers I made while I was there. Staff were friendly. I had a very good experience with this resort. My only complaint would be the floor to my unit could be cleaner. I wonder if they mop the floor after each guest checked out. I would recommend this resort. Each unit is spacious and comfortable.

I would consider staying here again but I would want to go in early Spring or late Fall when it is cooler because the cabins do not have AC and only a fan to blow on you. I was hot and tired from a long hike I did and it was really hard for me to cool down in the room and get a nap in unfortunately. The good news is that the room cools off as soon as the sun moves behind the cabin. The studio suite I was in was pretty well equipped. Keep in mind they ask you to not rely on housekeeping to take care of any messes you might make while you are there. Sometimes when you go on vacation you sometimes want to leave the chores at home but this lodge asks that you haul out your trash and respectfully clean all the dishes used for coffee, etc. I was fine with that but just something you should be aware of when about to check out. Also read the literature they give you at check in thoroughly . I didn't realize I needed to hang a parking sign on my parked car until I read the brochure at 5am the next day but lucky for me my car was still there. Also reading the literature in the envelope they mentioned check out was at 11 but the introductory email I was sent said 10, so there was that indecision as to how late I should sleep in to but I just decided to check out at 7 instead and save any headache and also get a jump on the crowds at Grizzly Manor Diner. Great place for families tho, lots of space to run around outside, bikes to ride around, campfires to sit around, and bring your swimming trunks too. Taking a dip in their pool is the instant solution to the air conditioning dilemma besides taking a cold shower. I'd give Noon Lodge 4.5 stars w the opportunity for 5 if they had some AC, but like I said, check the temps ahead of time and probably stay here if it doesn't get above 80 the days you come.

You feel like you are getting your own cabin. Not a hotel. Check in was so easy! Parked in my cabins spot. Saw the lobby sign. Walked up, saw our name, grabbed the envelope which had the key, a map, a pamphlet and all inside. Walked right to our cabin and that was it. We stayed in cabin 10 since there was 6 of us. Downstairs was the kitchen, living room, bathroom with shower and a bedroom with a queen bed. Then upstairs, a loft with a twin over full bunk bed, then another bathroom with shower and a large bedroom with queen bed and a balcony overlooking the lake. There was a nice size pool with loungers, a few fire pits with chairs around, picnic tables, cute lighting, soft music. Games here and there like cornhole. Towels provided at the pool. Canoes that you can use. Just make sure to sign the waiver. We used the canoes everyday. No extra cost. Jesus was so helpful! Texted him a couple of times and immediately was there to help (like get the stuff for the canoe and turn on the fire pit, not any problems.) yeah the place is a little older but All of big bear is. It's outdoors. It's camping vibes. Sorry I didn't get more pics!
