His web site stated he has a car-fax on every car. He doesn't. I am 3,000 miles away, so we agreed we should have an independent inspection performed. However, he has a hot buyer and would require a $1,000 deposit. It is a good thing we had the inspection as he hadn't disclosed many problems. He didn't think it was important to tell me that the tire pressure light was on, that the bumper had touchup paint on it, that there was a chip in the windshield, the right side mirror was lose, that the car pulled to the right while driving, that the front right tire was a mismatch, that there are many chips and dents on the exterior, and many other things. When I told him that all these problems did not warrant the price he was asking and to refund my deposit, he did not do that. Turns out there have been 4 owners of the car. The tires were at 5/32 and would require changing soon. Replacing expired tire sensors would cost even more money.
