Took 2 cars in the last 3 days. Very nice crew, cool (as in temp) waiting area BUT wash and dry was not very good. Much of back of car didn't look like it was touched and not all windows wiped down and spotty. Had I inspected car I would have pointed it out. The Hurricane service includes vacuum but no interior wipe down. And I believe does not include floor mats. My guess is you need to get top level $23 service. I can get much better exterior and interior service in Cherry Hill for 1/2 the price. read more

As a former employee and a mechanic this is the worst shop I have ever worked at. They cut corners on customers vehicle, for example they dont change your oil filter when you get an oil change then proceed to charge you for a new filter and the disposal fee (I have witnessed this). when I brought it to the owner's attention he said " it's the way we do things here, you don't need to change the oil filter on every oil change". I take pride in what I do and I can't believe this shop can be so negligent when it comes to customers vehicles. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO GET SERVICED HERE!! read more

Went in for a basic oil change and when they were done my car had the check engine light on and the vehicle was in low power mode. I demanded they fix the issue but the guys working at the time (no mechanic) had no clue what to do. They called the owner chuck and put me On the phone with him, he said "hey man, these things sometimes just happen, i had a guy pull away and his brake line went, is it coincidence idk idk." Anyway, im canceling the charge on my cc and i am taking him to small claims court for the repairs that are now required. Stay away from this place. read more

UPDATE: I just received a verbally abusive call back from the owner. Seriously folks, this guy Chuck is bad news. this is not the first time I've wanted to say something and have been giving him the benefit of having a bad day for over a year. I've read other nightmare reviews as well in which people safety has been put in jeopardy, and received nothing but nasty, sarcastic, aggressive, responses from this guy. Someone has a bad experience at your business, so call him and curse him out. Makes sense. Arrogant and aggressive with his customers. The only good thing about this place is the guys who work the car wash. The oil change/maintenance side is TERRIBLE. Do not trust your vehicle with these people. Rude, lazy, and 0 sense of urgency. Took close to 15 minutes to be greeted - by the kid just hanging out, bullshitting with the techs. Another 90 minutes for the change. 2 days later after hearing some rumbling below, I discover that the flap that covers the bottom of the car (where the oil is drained from.) was never bolted back, just dangling. Makes me wonder what else was overlooked... Left message at business to resolve before posting, but no call back. read more

Chuck the owner and Bob the manager saved me a lot of money! These guys are more than just a car wash and oil change shop. They are a qualified mechanic shop as well. I went to them after my regular mechanic told me that I needed to do an expensive repair and that the repair could only be done at a dealership. Chuck and Bob discussed the situation and decided to do their own testing. As a result it was not the repair that I was told I would need. It was a much simpler repair that saved me over $1500. They also found that I needed brakes. Something that the last repair shop missed completely. They both also explained how each repair was diagnosed before suggesting and before doing the repair. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend their mechanical services! read more

They damaged my rims but will not honor the repairs. I'm highly disappointed as I have been going here for years as a local. I get people make mistakes but the lack of responsibility or fixing of issues is very disappointing. Anyone with nice rims or newer car should not use them. read more

HORRIBLE!!! - Lets start with getting a simple tire rotation a few weeks ago and finding out days later 2 lug nuts completely missing. Then I made the mistake of going back to this fine establishment!! Took my wife's car in for an oil change. Charged $79 for a 10minute job and 4qts of oil. Reluctantly paid and went on my way. Next day wife complains of car smelling like fuel. Pop the hood to find oil sprayed all over the entire engine compartment. Apparently its not important to reinstall the oil cap which is still sitting on the battery. Several days later go back in the talk to Chuck the owner. Tells me --- ahh it happens some times sorry it was you - Me - Your lucky my car didn't catch fire or engine blow! Chuck - that's why I pay Insurance!!! Seriously!!! Subject: A simple oil change gone horribly wrong In an effort to take swift action against a business that I fell victim to and in an effort to avoid other consumers falling prey, I wanted to share the business practices of "Shore Clean Express Care". I visited the above-mentioned business to conduct my usual oil change as I've done previously for the last 5+ years. After stating that I wanted a baseline oil change, the service representative took my keys and left me in the waiting area on the property. During my 15-minute wait, no representatives came in to ask if I wanted to upgrade my oil type, purchase a new filter, or show me my oil levels, as I've experienced in the past from multiple businesses like this one. As they completed my service, I noticed my bill came out to an unusually high amount versus what I typically pay. This business charged me $94.13 (over my typical $70.72 fee). As any level-headed consumer would ask, I wanted to know why this service was costing me $20 over my usual amount. When I asked, they did not have a direct answer. It was only after me pressing on this issue that they then told me that they went ahead and filled my oil tank to its maximum capacity, without my consent or agree to. This is not acceptable. As I begrudgingly paid my unfair service fee, I proceeded to walk out of the building towards my car. I should mention that I did have two friends accompanying me. We went outside and looked over the bill to see why it was so expensive. The "owner" followed us outside and proceeded to mock us as we asked why the bill was so expensive. He got in our personal space, answering our questions with more questions. His aggressive demeanor was appalling. Without answering our question, he told us never to come back and, when asked for his name, refused to give it. Other employees were also present to witness his behavior and refused to give his name as well. I have this behavior on video because I felt threatened that this man might get physical with me or my two female friends. We later learned, on our own, that the owner's name is Chuck Baker. His behavior and automatic aggressive attitude towards my question of why this service cost me $94.00 was and is uncalled for. It is not acceptable. Got my car washed at the end of last week and got the super storm treatment (21.99). I've never paid that much for a wash but thoroughly impressed with the service. My car looked like new inside and out. I would consider it like I got a detail on it and will get it again. The young men taking care of me were very nice. I returned today with my daughters car that had a flat and asked if they had time to repair the tire(this was July 3rd). Again the young mechanic and the owners young son couldn't have been nicer and repaired my tire quickly and inexpensively. I was overjoyed that they could help me out the day before a busy holiday. I got to talking to the mechanic while he repaired the tire and found out they offer quite few services. I will be back for service when I need it and definitely will be getting my car washed there read more

Do not ever take your car here. I received a gift certificate to get my car detailed, and despite having issues in the past (that I now see from Yelp are common blunders) with oil changes leaking all over the engine, I took my car in. my car smells awful, they saturated wet seats and a week later it still leaks onto my clothes when I drive (with all the windows down). I have tried scrubbing the smells of all the chemicals they used out of my rubber mats to no avail. I've aired my car out for a week and the smells won't go away. I now have to take my car in to another shop to get it bombed and cleaned. The whole interior of my car was lathered with some cheap greasy product that left streaks on my dashboard. When I called Shore Clean Express to ask for a some kind of reimbursement for the cleaning I'll have to pay for out of pocket, the manager, Bob, screamed at me, told me it was my fault, and hung up the phone. It's really gross to be called "honey" while being screamed at. Also, when I had my oil changed here (they didn't put the cap back on btw), they told me I had a nail stuck in my tire and that I could pay to have removed. I am seeing from earlier Yelp reviews that this is a stunt they pull. read more

Stay away. Hidden charges for oil changes. I called on the phone and asked how much a premium oil change was. They said $66.99 for up to 5 quarts. When checking out they tried to charge me $87 including a completely BS extra charge of a "premium oil filter" for $7.00. No mention ever of that prior to starting on my car. I am local and will NEVER go to this place again. They lost what could have been a regular customer for $7. It isn't the money but the principal. Unethical business practices IMO. read more

My fiancé and i were on our way down from Manalapan for our cake tasting for our wedding in Avalon in a couple months. We decided to stop for a car wash along the way and came to Shore Clean. As the car was being washed i realized i was overdue for an oils chance and since the bays were empty i figured they could do it quick. Since they offer a free car wash, which i had already paid for, i thought it wouldn't be a problem for them to discount the difference from the oil bill. The one mechanic was real dry and said that's not how it works. Then i saw this shiny beautiful Chevy pickup truck roll up and i thought oh that must be the owner, he'll probably fix it. I was wrong. Absolute joke. 45 mins for a carwash. Truck came out and sat for 25 mins while they worked on other vehicles. Wanna guess why you dry a car when it's wet? Water spots. 23.99 plus and up charge for a truck. I also stopped a woman from paying $40 for an air filter. So not only they bad, they are also crooks. To the owner, if you wanna provide an email, I am happy to discuss this with you personally. Bottom line, you are better off with a dirty vehicle. I've been using Shore Clean for my oil changes for years, and will continue to do so for all future oil changes and their various other services. Chuck and his crew are always kind and service here is always great. I trust them with my car, and I always appreciate their input when it comes to offering to change the air filter, get some new wipers, or replace a burnt out bulb. I even got my transmission fluid done here and it was done right and affordable. They are always transparent and offer to show me the old before they put on the new, and never pressure me into purchasing stuff I don't need. Went there to get an oil change on my '99 Buick Century, found out my transmission oil was also way overdue (I never knew it needed to be changed honestly..). Chuck showed me what I had in my car vs what needed to be put in the car. I asked what the price would be, and it was 50$ less than normal at the time, plus my 10% off with the sticker they put on the car from last time. Overall was a fairly quick process, though that's probably cause I was messing about on my phone and petting a little dog that another customer brought in. Chuck seems like an alright guy. I've never had any bad experience from him the 2 times I've been there so far, and don't believe my parents have had a problem either. Good guy overall, decent establishment. The one thing I think could be improved on is the directions they give sometimes. It was my first time getting a carwash there as they gave it for free with the oil change. I had to figure out on my own where to wait and what to do as it was never explained. Decently good place overall, will return when I need my oil changed again. read more

Never never never take your car to Shore Clean. Went in to have an oil change and car started smelling like burning rubber within the next couple days. Brought it back to them once my car started having trouble steering. Mysteriously, while in their care my car caught on fire, to which they didn't think to call. If my husband hadn't come back to check on the car, they would have never told us that there had been a fire. Told me my car needed over $1,400 worth of work just to get it running again. Seemed shady so we towed it to Don's Garage (which I highly recommend) and they informed us that it was just the steering belt that had caught on fire and $50 later, my car was totally fine. Had I not taken it somewhere else, would have been suckered out over over a thousand dollars. DO NOT go here. read more

I use to go here b 4 I became very sick. The staff was always friendly/helpful, even though the owner has a horrible reputation 4 his anger. I never met him til the other day. My son wanted to stop to vacuum his car after my MD appointment. The vacuum wasn't working & ate his $, we were not mad. I went calmly 2 inform them. The owner jumped down my throat about bothering him for refunds & I need to go 2 the car wash employees. He was so rude, scary & out of line. I saw what many locals have been saying. I've often used shore clean and every time the service was great!!! As a returning customer (with discount sticker) they give you 10 % off services....I always get my oil changes at shore clean (they give you a free car wash with every oil change) I've also had my tire plugged, wipers replaced etc...all less then ten mins. Today I had a flat tire (leaking around the rim) I had to get my tire removed from rim, shape it, and also replace a bad valve, he explained everything to me and what would need to be done and still would be less than an hour. While waiting you can watch tv and have a cup of complimentary coffee or tea in a warm clean office. I recommend using shore clean with today's busy schedules we want to get in and out but we also want quality and they deliver that. Thanks guys!! read more

I had my oil changed there. On the way home, the oil light came on. We tried to reset it and thought it was fine. I drove my car the next day and the oil light came back on. I called and left a message. I didn't hear back from them and called after work. The young man said to bring my car over. I told him I couldn't get there until 5:30. He said that was fine. Got there at 5:30 the young man tried to reset the computer. At that point the owner came over, the technician explained the problem and the owner was very unpleasant he told me no one was there who could reset it and bring it back between 9 and 5. I said I worked and would not be able to do that. After I left, I finally received a call back. It was the owner, I told him I was just there and he was rude. My husband took the car back and it turned out there wasn't enough oil in the car. In the process the dropped the splash shield to check the oil pan. Guess what fell off of my car onto the expressway this morning. And they never even apologized for the terrible customer service. read more

Chose this place for an oil change. Which went fine enough. A little expensive, and much longer than expected (45 minutes). Owner seemed to know this was long and was overly apologetic. That said, seemed to try to make up for the delay with a discount for the car wash. Figured I'd reward that self-awareness and get my car washed. Ended up waiting another 30 minutes for the owner to stop doing donuts in the parking lot with his Audi R8 convertible so that his employees could ask for his input on a number of cars before the car wash line could move forward. Like some other cars, I happened to have some roof rack equipment which needed some input from the owner before the attendant would let me go through. I really didn't care one way or another if I went through, but didn't appreciate waiting 20 minutes for the owner to stop showing off his car. When he finally finished and his attendant asked for input, I was rudely told I couldn't go through the wash without removing the rack, which clearly wasn't worth my time to do. When I said, "thanks anyway" I was berated by the owner. He screamed at me about how much money automated systems costs, etc. Net-net, the owner seems to me to be bi-polar. Overly saccharine sweet one minute and a complete jerk the next. Net-net, I'll never do business with this company again. Period. read more

Although they're known for their speedy, inexpensive, and professional oil changes and minor repairs, I was pleasantly surprised to learn they were able to do more substantial repairs for me. For example, they just replaced my air conditioning compressor. This was done on short notice in one day, with competitive pricing. In the past, they've realigned my wheels, fixed my breaks, and did an overall great job servicing my car needs. They're honest, and I highly recommend them. read more
