Chuck and his crew are great. Chuck does a heck of a job training his employees. His young son works there and always addresses me respectfully and makes sure to ask if everything was satisfactory. Business is well maintained, neat and clean. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available at no cost. Daily newspaper as well. Get you in and out quickly for an oil change and you get a free car wash. Although they're known for their speedy, inexpensive, and professional oil changes and minor repairs, I was pleasantly surprised to learn they were able to do more substantial repairs for me. For example, they just replaced my air conditioning compressor. This was done on short notice in one day, with competitive pricing. Absolutely terrible. The owner & crew are real jerks, unless you're his buddy. What they quote you is never the real price, ever. I went in for an oil change, very simple, they told me it would be 20 minutes at the most but I ended up waiting 40. There was nobody else there. Also, I had just had new brakes put on somewhere else and they (unsurprisingly) told me I needed new ones and that the ones I had were really worn. They make up stuff just to try to make more money. After I paid for my oil change, I tipped the mechanic that was nicely vacuuming out my car. As I was there, my driver side window was off the track, and did not go up as it should. I asked the mechanic who did my oil change how that could have happened, and he tried his best to fix it, but could not. So he went to the owner to see what they could do. After the owner saw the damage, he said "this is nothing my mechanic did, this guy can't fix it.. S*** happens." Disgusted with how he talked to me, I shot him a confused look and explained this has never happened before. Instead of referring me to a place that could help me, he took this as an insult and argued "this stuff happens, you can't blame this on my facility, go get it fixed". He continued to belittle me. I was very annoyed and as I was leaving, (as I should not have done) shot him a hand gesture that I didn't even think he would see, just to make myself feel better. He came after my car telling me I shouldn't have a piece of s*** car and I should go buy a new one. (my 2006 Saturn ion, with 70,000 miles on it) As if that was not embarrassing enough to have a 50 year old man yelling at a 21 year old female, he got into my face through my glass window and shot me the same exact hand gesture. I was verbally abused from the owner of this business to the point where I could not have my "free" car wash. Yes, I should not have done what I did, but this man has no respect for a paying customer. The customer does not come first at this facility, the cash flow does. These guys are the best! Not only do they wash my car when I get the oil changed, they have stayed late on a Friday night to fix my brakes so I could drive back to Philly. Last summer my car broke down on a Sunday- AGAIN they went out of their way to find the part needed on a Sunday. These are the" go to guys" for all my car care needs at the Jersey shore. I would go to this place when I needed a quick oil change from time to time. After a couple of visits, I noticed a pattern. Always found the same type of nail in my tire, dirty filter needed replaced, whoever you brought this car to before did this, etc. Long story short, this place is a rip off and the owner is very unprofessional. I came here for a car wash as my car was making a terrible noise after the flooding in North Wildwood. When I pulled in 2 men came right over as well as the owner...the noise was LOUD. As it turned out I was dragging a piece of plastic. They put my car up on the lift and told me to have a seat in the office. When the owner returned he told me the car was fixed and I asked what I owed his response was "Nothing...just take care of my guys". Now that is integrity! This is a business I would work with in the future. While we were talking I mentioned how I appreciated that and he could have told me anything and charged what he liked. I came in with a Lexus...woman alone....many shops would have seen an opportunity. He pointed out that his office has 2 BIG picture windows. He designed it that way so customers could see exactly what was being done and they would feel comfortable with the process. All the men treated me with the utmost respect and care. They got me in immediately and out right away. The shop is clean and comfortable. I can't say enough about these guys. Did I mention it was closing time? If you are looking for an honest shop with good, old fashioned values definitely come here! After reading the other reviews I have to wonder if the competition is posting to tarnish their reputation as I had a completely different experience and can't even imagine these men being rude or disrespectful. read more

Unprofessional! Did not perform all service checks as promised. Employee was rude. I left there thinking I would complain to owner about his attitude toward me. After I left I decided to just let it go but owner called me. Initially I thought to apologize or to ask about what happened. Fifteen seconds into the conversation I realized it was basically to give me more rudeness. Conversation ended when he referred to me as "babe". They are not interested in customer service and have a condescending attitude especially toward women. Do yourself a favor and drive to Somers Point. The car wash is superior to Shore Clean and they are courteous. read more

we dropped off our brand new car, and when we got it back it had scratches on the interior console, and the car wasn't that clean overall. chuck claims that his guys didn't scratch the car and would not budge on pay for half the price of the pice that needs to be replaced. he also over charged us for conditioning the seats by $50.00. we will never do business with this establishment again, and you should not either. buyer beware. read more

Rude. Dishonest. I was new to area and thought this was the only place to get an oil change. I got the least expensive one (which was still VERY expensive). at first, I thought it was an ok place...I got a car wash, included...which I told myself was the reason the oil change was more expensive. but then, I went back a second time, I got a good (higher priced) oil change, because I had some coupons that they gave me. third time, I went back, asked for the least expensive, they gave me the mid price one, which I didn't find out, until AFTER the oil change and they were trying to charge me for it. I told them that I has specifically asked for the lowest priced one. To which the guy behind the counter told me, "You got this one last time, so we just did this." Annoyed, I just paid the extra money. I also realized about a day later that all of my fluids in the car were NOT topped off, to which I became livid...as I had paid EXTRA against my will for crappy service. I went back one more time (I shouldn't have, but I didn't realize other places were close enough that were better, at the time), and I made sure I specifically said, "i need the XX.XX price one" (which ever the lowest price was...it was $40something, I believe. the guy behind the counter was rude in response. at the end, when I went to pay, a different guy (he seemed to be the one in charge of the younger ones doing the work) was charging me, and he tells me a higher price...like $20 higher. I told him, "No, I asked that guy" and I pointed, "specifically, to give me this price oil change." and THAT guy was VERY RUDE in response, talking to me in a very belittling voice. first he argued, so I had to firmly state my case, explaining about the previous visits and how I made sure I explicitly stated what I wanted at the beginning so there would be no mistake. to which he was even more rude. HE WILL NEVER HAVE MY SERVICE AGAIN, and I will tell anyone who is looking to go somewhere to go elsewhere. less expensive oil changes are VERY local (now I know) as well as car washes that do a better job (and are STILL less expensive than just their oil change at its cheapest price. make the assumption you want about a dissatisfied customer. I actually created a yelp account just to review this place. Never did I have any clue that an oil change could avalanche into something so uncomfortable and frankly disturbing. I decided to give this place a shot and didn't read any reviews regretfully. I pulled in and no one was in front of me. Guy takes my car in for an oil change and that's that. My car goes into the bay. Nothing happens and 20 minutes later my car emerges and another car goes in of what appears to be a regular customer. I stand up assuming my oil change is done and counter person tells me "you got awhile kid. This doesn't just magically happen in 5 minutes". First of all im 30 years old and gave a full grown beard and i tower over this dude who looks to be in his late 40s. Thats just disrespectdul for him tk talk down to me like that but i took it in stride. This is after the guy told me it would take 15 minutes. I called my insurance company when my car went into the bay. This will come up again later. Another car is put into the bag again what appeared to be a regular customer. All the while my car is sitting running with all the car doors open unattended. So I wall uo yo yhe counter again and ask how much longer it will be. The guy snaps back at me and tells me it hasn't even been 20 minutes when it's actually been 45 minutes. He raises his voice and reply me he's not going to argue with me and I tell him straight up, there's nothing to argue. I made a phone call the second my car was pulled in 45 minutes ago. He physically steps to me and yells "you know what!" At which point a coworker comes over and yells hjm to calm down. Almost pleads with the guy and starts rubbing his shoulders. Guy tells me it's going to be at least another 40 minutes and then starts bad mouthing me to the other customers in the store who looked extremely uncomfortable. When none of them would listen he storms outside, goes straight to the guy working on my car and continues to talk bad about me. I was tempted to stand up for myself but last thing I need is for someone to mess up my car. I call a friend to pick me up and take me to get food since I was there for an hour and 15 minutes for an OIL CHANGE. ride down to the wawa and come back and my car is sitting still with the ignition on and car doors open yt apparently they did the oil change in that 15 minutes. I get the bill and it's almost double what I was quoted. I ask for a receipt and see he charged me for an oil filter which we never spoke about. He tells me I should be thankful they changed it because I needed it and he doesn't have to ask. At this point I just want to get out of there. Clearly this guy was on a power trip. I don't even put up a fight. Just cut my losses, pay and leave. As I'm driving it sounds like I'm in a wind tunnell. The rubber padding all around my window is pulled out of the door frame and it was pretty blatant it was intentional. Luckily none of it was ripped and I stuffed it back in. Now the best part. I called and asked for the owners name...the owner was the guy I delt with the entire time. I kind of got that feeling when he was speaking to me as if he had nothing to lose. What a nightmare. If you are a regular it's probably the best considering you get priority over everyone. But I'll be filing a complaint with the better business burough and I warn you to be cautious of the positive reviews. I've never had an issue ANYWHERE. People complain about jiffy lube but they never treated me like this. It actually worries me the have my information in their database. read more

have been taking my cars there for oil changes and they do a nice job. recently my wife took her car in and they told her the rear brakes were less than 10% and needed to be replaced. i took the car to my mechanic and he stated the rear brakes were at 30 - 40 % and did not need to be replaced. If they had been honest with the brakes i probably would have taken all my cars there for brakes and oil. NOT NOW. read more

Go ahead and get an oil change there. I did and 3,000 miles later my Subaru Impreza WRX STi needed a new engine. Why you ask? There was NO oil in the engine and the pistons overheated warped and seized. I was told NOT to take it to this place because of the reputation the owner Chuck has. I was without my car for 8 months and the repair costs were nearly $10,000.00. Also, it should be noted that recently I was having a conversation about what happened to someone who was a car guy and liked my car. As it turns out, he was a former manager there and disclosed to me there "business practices". For one, my vehicle can only take synthetic motor oil (which is more expensive than traditional oil). He told me that it didn't matter if I paid for synthetic he puts in regular cheap and many times uses used oil into my car. The "Oil Change Technicians" often strip the bolt that keeps the oil in the oil pan. Moreover, I was also told that he may or may not change your oil filter. Yet, your being charged the same. Chuck is NOT a SUPER NICE GUY, his only concern is his bottom line so he can purchase high end cars. He doesn't care about you, he puts on a front of pleasantry. When you have spoken to former employees and those he does business with your will come to understand that my statements are not embellished. Please, DO NOT go here, take the advise that I ignored.
