He arrived promptly and punctually to appraise for our estimate. I found Tom to be friendly, courteous, and efficient in generating his assessment. We agreed on a price, and Tom said that he and his helper would begin in 4 days on a Monday @ 9 AM. Tom & Mark arrived on time and after bringing their equipment in, began prepping for paint in earnest. They had nice equipment (ladders, tarps, miscellaneous painting tools & accessories) and treated our condo and their items professionally. We have a utility tub in the laundry room, which they used to clean their equipment during the day and prior to leaving. It appeared to be cleaned as if they lived here when through cleaning up for the day. I purchased the paint colors at Sherwin-Williams (Duration - satin latex) due to them having a large sale and saved 40% off my large order. Tom and Mark were both pleased with S-W Duration and said that we would love it also. I agree with the Duration paint assessment - it has a beautiful sheen that really displays well after two days of curing. Prior to their arrival, I removed receptacle/outlet covers, curtains, and wall hangings to allow for more efficient use of their painting skills. I also placed large furniture glides under the beds and heavy furniture to promote ease of movement. It was a harmonious event with two skilled painters and the homeowners. They had friendly banter between themselves and good communication with each of us, both workers and watchers. Tom and Mark move fluidly through a room while cutting in and then painting the walls. They handled minor patching (any former hanger marks dents, etc. I highlighted with a penciled "X"} and sanding prior to applying the new colors. They used painters tape on the baseboards and where needed to protect mouldings and also for crisp paint lines. We had the top floor of the condo painted; master bedroom, guest bedroom, two bathrooms, laundry room, kitchen, stairwell, dining room, and living room. This is approximately 1,300 square feet for the upper level. I opted for leaving the closets painted white instead of matching room colors, as suggested by another painter many years ago. Tehy did not paint the closets. They are detail-oriented and skilled painters, who work professionally and quickly for all parties benefit. I would highly recommend their painting for any project you have pending. Tom is insured and has a long list of satisfied customers with positive referrals. I will definitely hire them again. A+++++
