As someone else said, it's not what you'd expect. My husband was wondering if I'd given him the right address. The owners were so nice! So, so nice! EVERYTHING is MADE FRESH! It was only a 15 min wait. My family and I really enjoyed the pizzas (pepperoni and cheese) we ordered! It's NY style, which is one of my favorite types of pizza. The crust was tasty! This place is awesome! The Shorty Mac is so good! I really appreciate the staff bringing us a new pizza as we asked for no onions and it came with onions. So many places have done that to us with barely an acknowledgment of their, error but this place was adamant about fixing it even though we were a delivery on a windy day! Staying down on the west side of Rockport. Someone from Shorty's was dropping off pizza samples to the front offices for teasers and we tried it - and liked it. We decided over the weekend to order a sampling for what Shorty's had to offer after getting bored with the Rockport food scene. For reference, this was a $140 order with tip for the driver. The sample was the best, but the actual order was not the best after arrival. It may have something to do with the distance into Rockport from AP. Not sure. The sandwiches looked amazingly large and well apportioned, but were soggy due to the heat capture in the foil. We ended up tasting one and throwing both away. They are no doubt probably amazing when dining in. The pizza was good, but had a similar story when it came to sweating in the box which made the cheese feel too heavy. I was happy to see an abundance of toppings on the large pizza but when heavy on toppings, it does not allow for the center of the pizza to cook in line with the crust. We threw 40% of it away. Finally, the wings....not sure where to begin. I am sure that they must have been cooked and my wife loves wings, but these seamed to be boiled and not baked (not sure honestly) and then had some BBQ sauce poured on them. Wife tried to bake them or broil them a bit in a air fryer, but with no luck. I have never seen her throw away so many wings after an order. So, while I think distance is likely a culprit here, I do think the best bet for this place is to dine-in. read more

Just moved into town and was craving some good pizza. I stay in Ingleside and my closest options were Pizza Hut and Dominoes, so it was a no brainer not to go to either of them!! So I gave Shortys a try, which was double the distance from both of those places, and I don't regret the drive at all!! The service was great, from calling in my pizza, to leaving the establishment. They have a great menu selections and they are adding even more. Our supreme pizza was generously loaded with fresh toppings. Even though we're usually partial to a very thin and crispy crust, theirs was a little thicker and delicious! There's no need to ask for extra cheese because it was loaded!
