Located in the food court off Main Street. They are set to open a store in the same strip mall. I stop by here for the lunch special which is a combo of the hotpot and a tea. The staff was friendly and efficient. My food came out pretty quickly. I got the beef hotpot with ramen medium spicy. The soup was tasty on a cod day. The broth is flavorful with just the right amount of spice. It was refreshing to wash down lunch with the passion fruit green tea.

I've picked up from Show Hotpot via DoorDash more times than I can count -- mostly because the combo meal is such an easy go-to. And it's close to my work! You choose a protein (I always go with lamb), and it comes with a great variety of goodies: napa cabbage, spinach, spam, potato, tofu, fish balls, plus rice or noodles (glass noodles are my fave), and a drink -- either their milk tea or soda. The price is solid for the amount of food you get, and the set makes it super convenient when you're craving hot soup but don't have time to build a custom order. Spice levels are adjustable, and I usually go for the spiciest -- sometimes it hits, sometimes it's more mellow than expected, but still flavorful. I've been loyal to this spot for a while and honestly would rate it a 3.5. Not spectacular, but does the job for hotpot fix. I have noted that it isn't as cleanly compared to past visits. Take it with a grain of salt though, cause I'm usually in and out! II haven't personally had a bad experience, but I'm cautious enough now that I've been considering exploring other options. I also have minimal interaction with the staff as well. Would still recommend for a quick, comforting pick-up if you're in a rush.

Our first time here at Show Hotpot. It is located inside the food court right now, but it seems to have a new location with a store. The restaurant is simple. You can pick a combo which has preset hotpot with a drink or make your own. We decided to make it our own. You can select as many items as you want and they will weigh it at the end. It's $13.99 per lb. Pretty standard pricing. They have several different brothers. I've tried the traditional beef bone broth and tomato broth. I recommend the traditional broth. Overall, I liked my broth and enjoyed my hotpot. It's individual hotpot, so each person can pick your own favorite ingredients. The tomato broth is so so. It will be great if it has a store instead of locating inside the food court. All the stores didn't open on the weekend, which looks deserted.

I was craving for Chinese soup so i was happy this place was near by. It's a food stand in a food court setting. It's Saturday night but it was very quiet. Only a few restaurants were open. We got to order our food right away. There were not as many items to choose from as with other places that I visited. The sliced beef was very fatty, you could barely see any lean meat. The soup was tasty but way too oily for my taste. Unfortunately, we got tummy ache that night because the food didn't agree with us. The price per pound was the same as other places. I wouldn't go back again.

Health department please step in. So unfortunate. I've eaten at this restaurant for 2 years almost weekly (at least biweekly). I'd say of the past 2+ years, I've gotten 4 bugs in my food. This one was the worst because I'm pretty certain this is a baby cockroach. I was a few bites into my hotpot before I noticed the bug and took it out to look at it better to make sure it actually was a bug. The food here is incredible but there's no way this restaurant is up to health code standards. Today when I went to pick up my order, the lady handed me my food from behind the counter and immediately started screaming and stomping looking at the floor. Someone from the back came running to the front with raid, so this tells me they are aware they have a bug problem but are still serving customers. I lost my appetite and just poured the rest of my dinner down the sink drain. I couldn't eat another bite knowing a cockroach was cooking in my soup. I understood the first time thinking it was just a strange situation but 4 bugs over a 2 year span? They'll be losing me and my family as one of their long time repeat customers. Hopefully the health department will force them to be up to health standards. Sad.

I was craving hotpot but also wanted to stay in, so scrolled on DoorDash and came across this spot. I ordered a mild beef combo with milk tea and side of sauces and green onions. I love how it came in a sealed container for safety purposes and it kept the meal hot! It had all the ingredients I really liked already. I do wish I ordered a medium over a mild; I thought that it would be very spicy with mild. Portions are great, and I saved half for another meal. The milk tea was decent, and it tasted more like tea than milk which is my preference. Overall, satisfied with the meal and for hotpot takeout / delivery, I'd give it an A+.

I loveee show hotpot! It is the perfect to-go meal that is also open late at night. It is also wayy cheaper than other hot pot places depending how much you add to your bowl. Hot pot is one of my favs & when I discovered Show Hotpot, it became a new staple for me in Irvine. Using their online ordering system is ideal for fast pick up. I always get a create your own, medium spicy. They do not mess around with their spice here & you will feel the after effects of the spice a few hours after eating this lol. I usually add beef slices, nappa cabbage, baby bok choy, tofu, & spinach and it is around $11. (It gets pricier the more items you add) I always ask for garlic & mix ponzu with it once I am home! Highly recommend trying this place out if you are a hot pot lover!

After Pilates, my boyfriend and I stopped by this spot, and wow, the broth here is insanely delicious! It's flavorful, comforting, and hits all the right notes. Absolutely delicious. I ordered a build your own with beef broth and added shrimp cake, tempura, mussels, clams, bok Chou, broccoli, green onion, bamboo shoots, cabbage, imitation crab meat and ramen. It was perfection and the broth flavor was rich and pure comfort. It definitely adds up with all my additions but that's on me! Very worth it and a purely satisfying and addictive meal. I just ordered from here via Uber eats and I'm pretty disappointed due to low quantity. Each combo costed $20 and it had very thin meats. I counted 4 legit pieces total in one and TWO think slices of meat in the other. I'm pretty sure my "lamb" combo was the same as the beef combo because of the way the meats looked too (very thin slices...) when I got both hoping to try both. If it weren't for the promo spend $25 get $20 off and $10 discount I would've paid $50 easily with tip and this was nothing near that quantity. The taste of the broth was good and ramen was perfect texture but you get more of that than anything so that's it. The passion fruit and peach tea drinks were tasty but very sweet. Chinese skewers arrived cold so I only took a bite and that's it. I wouldn't recommend this place after this experience. read more

This place open until late night 11:45pm 7days /week . I had beef combo $15.99( free side and free drinks ) and my girl friend had BYO , $13.99/lb . I think that's very good idea , so you can order how much you want to eat, won't waste any money! Which is you paid for 3 shrimps and the 3 shrimps will be in you pot. The soup flavor is amazing highly recommend put Ramen in there . Also I ordered the chicken rack they will give you gloves to eat it . That's a kind of fun to me , Also just like other yelper said the best appetizer I ever had ~ I save half for late night snack, go with the cold beer. OMG no other words can explain how good it is. read more

This place is a must try!! Hidden away in a small strip mall food court, Show Hotpot has the taste of home for me. There's a wide variety of ingredients to choose from, but it all tastes great once you eat it in their spicy beef base. My favorite ingredients are: wide glass noodles, fatty beef, bamboo shoots, potato, and quail eggs. A great new hot pot find in a food court complex in Irvine! Its innovative & one of kind from my experience. A perfectly packaged & customizable to-go hot pot meal! A fine alternative to the typical sit down hot pot restaurant like boiling point, however it's a little pricier for what you get in comparison to a restaurant (but the convenience seems to make up for it). I ordered a build your own bowl & the beef combo with a milk tea. The flavor of the broth is amazing & all the toppings are fresh & good quality. The staff is super friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend checking this place out! Tip if you don't eat spicy food: the spice levels of the broth are a little higher than what you would think. read more

This is a small hot pot shop located in the food court on Main Street. I got both the dry pot and hot pot and think the hot pot has better overall flavor. I'm a big dry pot fan but a lot of places don't get the flavor of it just right. The dry pot here is good but not the best, it's kind of too salty and overpowers the ingredients. I got the preset ingredients which comes with crab sticks, fish tofu, beef ball, beef slices, cabbage, and a few other ingredients. There's a good mix of a lot of things. You get too choose your carb base too. They also have the option of building your own and weighing the ingredients by the pound. The workers are all really kind and efficient. We bought one of the jars of their chili oil too, it had great flavor, definitely beats LGM! read more

I love this place, but this is the second time in a row I've gone, and the Latina woman messed up my order. The first time, she forgot to add my drink to my order. The second time, she gave me a bowl of soup with no noodles. She's so busy doing other shit, that she hasn't figured out that she has poor multitasking skills. read more

My favorite malatang spot in the Irvine area! I personally prefer their dry pot over the soup, but both are still excellent. One thing I wish is that they could change their serving style to allow customers to pick their own ingredients and adjust the amounts themselves. Went to this place because it was open late, and so glad I did! The ingredients tastes so fresh, and very good quality. I had beef, fried egg, lobster balls, fresh tofu and mushrooms with glass noodles in my soup bowl. The glass noodles were phenomenal! Soooo filling and super hot! The peach tea is refreshing and tasty! My girlfriend had a similar bowl, but with fish balls with fish row in the fish ball, and delicious! Definitely will be coming back! read more

4.5 stars/5 stars It is my first time ordering take out from here and I can say the food is delicious. I do wish they had a no spice option for the beef bone soup because I got the extra mild and it was still a bit spicy for me. I also wished the plastic film cutter provided was better because I still had difficultly cutting off the plastic cover of the bone soup. The chicken chop was crunchy and I enjoyed the sweet chilli sauce. read more

New place in Irvine ,fast clean and reasonable prices for personal hotpot. See the package first time saw it good for to go also I think the owner design it for COVID-19 so during the delivery no one can touch your food! That's a such good idea. Love the soup base if you don't eat too much spicy food so you can ask extra mild . Amazing soup base. I been here more than 10 times in last month. One of my favorite places! If you like hotpot ramen or soup this is the good choice . I heard the chicken rack is good I will try next time. Love this restaurant so much read more

I've been trying to search for dry mala in OC but there hasn't been much of an option when it comes to mala xiangguo. I decided to give show hotpot a try and it turned out to be descent. The price rate for the pot is definitely a steal. Food wise, I ordered mala xiangguo and it has a little bit of sweetness to it which is new to me. Everything was good and they also gave me free drinks. read more

Pretty authentic hotpot. Portions can be small depending on the employees. I would day the beef one is the most worth it. The seafood one is a meh, mainly just veggies and not so good seafood bits. Would recommend for a late night munch. Chill spot at night since they are the only one open with lots of parking. The male employee is super nice and give you decent portions. I came here when it was just the female employees and I got half the amount along with some attitude because I assume I came with my friend who is not chinese and I didn't speak Chinese to them even though I can just fine. The place is like a food court so it can be dirty at times. read more

The 3 stars is for the delicious spicy beef broth. It was sooo flavorful compared to many other hot point joints. The concept of building your own pot is also a huge plus since you can pick whatever items you like. HOWEVER, I ordered the beef and it was so hard. It was thick and super tough to the point of being inedible. I was so disappointed I had to throw all of the beef away despite the broth and veggies being tasty. I don't know if this was just a one time occurrence but I'm kinda reluctant to try it again to find out read more

WOW, this place is amazing. We tried it for the first time via DoorDash and ordered the beef combo with medium spice. It included every topping you could possibly imagine. We were the first ones to arrive today, which was great because that gave us a chance to ask our server a bunch of questions about the process. My foodie friend and I both chose to go with the AYCE shabu menu. You start by choosing the broth flavor you want and from there you can order the meats you want. I chose the sukiyaki broth and my friend chose the tom yum. Meats we chose were lamb, brisket, and chuck roll. Once our order for these were placed, we headed to the buffet. SO many choices! The soup add-on section had all sorts of noodles, mushrooms, veggies, and even seafood items to customize your shabu shabu to your liking. There was also a smaller hot food bar that featured fried rice, chow mien, fried gyoza, fried chicken flats, sesame balls, and a few more. I was content with my broth choice, but my friend found the tom yum broth to be too spicy for her taste buds, so our server was very kind to swap it out for a different one. Of the three meats we chose, we were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed lamb. Definitely our favorite! From the hot food buffet we both enjoyed the fried rice (made with Chinese sausage) and the fried gyoza. I also had the fried chicken and liked it so much, I went back for seconds. Included in the AYCE price was soft drinks, an order of sushi, and a small dessert bar. (Coke fans be warned, only Pepsi products are served here, but they do offer regular and diet Dr Pepper) The shabu shabu experience was fun! Having the hot pot right there in front of you and being able to create and customize your own dish is very satisfying. We both left satisfied but not overly stuffed. The Wagyu Platter offered high quality fresh meats, and my favorite was the A5 Wagyu Brisket. You can either order your own personal bowl with their set combo or build your own. I decided to build my own, they have over 30 different ingredients to chose from and 3 different spiciness levels. I went for the mild and it was just the right amount of spice for me. Our order only took a few minutes to deliver which was great as I was able to enjoy it during my lunch break. You get to chose from a variety of meats, veggies, carbs, and broth. Omg. This place is so gross. I went in around 10:30 pm and try to get some ma La tang. There were flies flying around the meat and when the guy grabbed the meat using the dirty gloves I was so grossed out.
