I had such an amazing experience with Show Memories. They turned all of my old home movies into a USB in just 24 hours, which honestly blew me away. Being able to watch hours of footage of my parents and myself as a little girl again is something I'll always be grateful for. One of my tapes was actually damaged, and instead of just telling me it couldn't be done, the owner went out of his way to have someone else repair it. Even with that extra step, everything was still ready within 24 hours, and he didn't charge me anything extra for it. That level of care and honesty is rare. The owner is incredibly kind, and the whole place has such a warm, welcoming feel. There's even a sweet dog that greets you when you walk in, which just adds to how friendly and comfortable the environment is. Their pricing is very reasonable, especially for the quality and turnaround time you get. I truly can't recommend Show Memories enough. Over the past few weeks, I was working with Show Memories to convert 77 of my old VHS Tapes to Digital. I went to see John, the Manager, to discuss all my concerns. He and his son were very reassuring that, based on their 40 years of experience, they'd be able to handle the conversion in any media format I need, including flash drives or transmissions. In addition to a "very good" price, including the fact that I didn't have to pay for shipping to and from a more expensive processor, I gave John one of the tapes as a trial to test a capability where they upload the digital version to a Google Drive, where I can simply move it to my drive (or computer) for access. All I can say is WOW! It worked perfectly and dramatically sped up the entire process for distribution of those precious memories to my entire family. I immediately brought in the rest of the tapes, where Show Memories numbered each VHS tape to link it to a Google version, and 2 days later, they were all available for my use on Google Drive! When they were done, I made payment and picked up my original VHS tapes. I then sent the Google Drive link to my Grandson in Florida, who is editing out blank spots and timestamping the various segments. The other great feature is that once it's on Google, I can easily view these memories on my smart TV, either directly or by connecting my laptop. To say I pleased is an understatement. I took 5 VHS tapes in to be converted to USB. I asked if I would be charged the same amount even if there was only a small amount on the DVDs and he told me that no matter what, the charge is $12 each. I was given a receipt showing I would be charged $65.25. When I went in to pick up, he charged me $94!! He said that one of the tapes was broken and another had "too much on it, more than 2 hours recorded". I told him that I specifically asked and he said "well, would you just want me to stop transferring it and stop at 2 hours?" I specifically asked about this and he outright lied!! I will start out by saying I wish I had read the reviews before going to this business and I will never take my business there again ! I was greeted by a sarcastic, rude, impatient owner, who has NO customer service skills ! He should consider hiring someone to run his counter, someone with manners. He advertises $0.08/foot, on his website, and also on the paperwork he gives you when he takes your films from you. I left 400 feet of old films, 5 individual reels. He charged me for 400 feet and instead of $0.08/foot, he charged me $0.10/foot, plus a flat $10 (for the DVDs???). When I complained, he said very nastily that he was going to be raising his rate to $0.20/foot. He also said that there are other places down the road that offer the same service...and added, but they charge $0.25/foot. He threw $5.00 on the counter and walked away. No new sales receipt was written up for this CASH ONLY business!! All he writes on the slips is your first name, no other record that you were even there. I am thinking of reporting him to the BBB for his deceptive business practices. Stay away!! I would give zero stars if I could. read more

People honestly need to stop giving this guy money !!! He is incredibly,incredibly rude and disrespectful!!! He made fun of an older gentleman in the store who came in after me. The man told him he had an accident and it took him a while to get his words out. The owner was so brutal , I walked out and consoled the older gentleman outside the store. He for whatever reason is very nasty. He is degrading to women, mean to the elderly . He doesn't accept anything but cash he said because people are thieves. I called this business to ask some questions about the process of converting VHS tapes to DVD's. The man sounded real nice, told me to come on in. Told me I could stop in any time. I walked into the shop, and there was no one present, so I stood there for a few minutes. The guy comes out like a hurricane, spoke loud, and curt. I started to ask him a few questions, when he grabbed my bag out of my hands and dumped my tapes on his counter. He yelled out how much it would be for all of the tapes. I tried to explain that the tapes are not full, and he laughed at me and asked if I thought I should get a special price. He was yelling, and pointing, and hitting his hand on the price list on the desk. He kept repeating, louder and louder $10 each, talking over me and would not let me talk. I told him he was not being very nice. He walked out on me. Then ran back in and told me when I was done playing with my tapes he would be back. I said, I don't need to be treated like this and I walked out. He has no customer service skills, and does not deserve to have a business. Does the town of Williamsville want him representing their community? I will never return to that business, and I will not recommend him to anyone. He was extremely rude on the phone, making it sound like I was wasting his time, and said I had to come in for business that he won't answer questions over the phone. What? I asked a few questions and the owner went crazy , became so rude I took my tape back and left. The owner definitely has a bad attitude and does not deserve to get any business. Went in 3 days before Xmas eve to have 12 tapes converted. I picked them up 2 days later. The gentleman told me he was up to his ears in videos but he made sure everyone's was ready on time. He said he had a lady come in on a Friday with 100 tapes in shambles and she wanted them done by Monday?! He said he was staying up all night to get them done asap for her, on top of converting the 100s of other tapes for his other customers. This guy deserves no ones business!! I was looking to convert my moms home videos of her kids to DVD for Christmas and this place was the first that popped up. I had no idea how this worked so I walked in to ask a few questions. I got a sentence and a half in asking if he edits them and he was like "oh yeah, I pull up and chair and bowl of popcorn and sit there and watch your home videos" and walked downstairs. I have never been so offended in 15 seconds flat and it takes a lot for me to feel offended. I walked right out. Shame on this guy. I thought maybe he was having a bad day but I see everyone else had the same experience if you look at the yellow pages reviews as there are quite a few more there.
