My husband took my car in to be detailed using my $200 gift card. He paid an extra $50 more to get the works. They did such a horrible job. Buffed only 3/4 of my car. Only cleaned my side window's. I hate to do this, but something on my car breaks every time I come here & the owner/ manager just shrugs and calls it wear and tear... but there was no wear and tear when I dropped my car off (this time it was the letters getting peeled off on my push-to-start button, last time it was a huge paint chip on the hood). Also the car was cleaned, but it's not detail-clean... sitting in my car now after paying $130 for an interior detail and just looking around quickly, the front windshield has a bunch of spots on the inside and outside, there are streaks on every window, there is still a lot of dog hair in the big front air vent, the air vents are all still dirty, there is some dirt on the leather next to my driver seat, there is still dog hair pretty much wherever I look for it, the car still kind of smells bad, there is still a bunch of water on the outside of the car, there are windex spots all over my dashboard and control buttons, etc... if it was a $50 "detail", I'd get it. But for $130 they should car enough to dry the doors and windows after they run it through the wash. Now I'm headed to meijer to buy some cleaning supplies and then back home to clean my car again. read more

Paid $40 for an Executive wash and they didn't bother to vacuum anything but the floors and didn't wipe down any of the interior surfaces. Other than clean mats and floors the inside is still really dirty. I expected a bit more for $40. read more

2/8/25 Chose a very expensive Execute Wash for inside & outside. My car was pretty dirty from breaking my leg then my wrist so I really wasn't in a good place to wash my own car. So when waiting as the car went thru the wash , the car behind us HIT our car. Just the start of a horrible experience. The Executive Wash was 10-20 minutes to complete, so imagine my surprise in 3 minutes....you're car is ready. I opened the passenger door & see the leather seats not vacuumed, the mats not vacuumed, the inside windows not cleaned & outside the car water running off the car front & back. I pointed out the vacuum issue & they did that & the mats. I asked the attendant 2x if the windows where done, his answer both times was Yes. They were not done. The interior was not wiped down fingerprints everywhere. I did spend an hour after returning home cleaning the interior myself so my $40 was wasted. DO NOT USE THIS CAR WASH! BEWARE! YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. read more

This place could be a lifesaver since it's the only one of its kind in the area, but, frankly, they're sloppy. I got a wash today that included vacuuming and they completely overlooked my seats which clearly needed vacuuming (crumbs, etc). They also need to do a better job of drying cars. The guy with the car in front of me grabbed one of their towels to finish the job himself. For my car, there was clearly water on the driver's side door and the rear windshield. These are recurring things, but today was particularly bad. The pics are of dirty water that was left on my rear seats. I'm not sure if the employees just need to care more or be trained better or what, but this place could be fantastic and I really want it to be. read more

Service was unkind, quality was not okay. I paid for the bronze, which was $10. I have a few tiny, unnoticeable scratches on my car, but after the wash, and parking in a store parking lot to pick something up, I noticed a brand new scratch that hasn't been there. Well I hate to do this to a local business but here it goes. I took my car through the was for an executive level wash ($40). To say the quality was terrible would be an understatement. The dash was not wiped, the floor was not vacuumed, if the windows were cleaned, you would not know it. The worst part of the experience was standing in the lobby area and watching the vehicle getting washed behind mine pushing my car forward! My car had finished the wash and was waiting to be driven to the drying area. No attendant moved it so the next car in line came up and pushed mine forward. Luckily an attendant noticed it before it hit a truck that was in the drying area. Do not take your vehicle here unless you want scratches on the bumper like mine has now. To add insult to injury, I went on the "contact us" part of the website 2 days ago and told the story and asked to be contacted. So far, nothing. How irresponsible can a business get??? I hope this keeps someone from leaving with a damaged vehicle like mine. read more

A shadow of its former self. I first took my car their nearly 15 years ago and there was a time when attention detail was paramount and customers were valued. In recent years - in particular the last year, every visit has been worse than the last. Despite regularly paying for the "platinum" wash, the quality of cleaning has kept declining, with spots missed, dirt left behind, general employee apathy. The most recent - and last visit - resulted in substantial dirt inside and outside the car untouched, including bird crap, bugs, and more all over the car and mirrors. It was so bad that I was moved to seek acknowledgement & service through two different forums, which is not my style. Instead legitimate and documented problems were ignored and the company showed zero interest in contacting me to discuss the matter and resolve this issue. Take my advice and go elsewhere. I have been coming here for years and i guess I'm going to have to find a new spot. I just took my car in and got the $25 "Platinum" service and it was terrible. For what is supposed to be their premier option, it was awful. There is still dirt on my car, the windows still have fingerprints, the inside looks like they barely vacuumed, the dash and touch screen are a mess and I had to ask the guy to please dry it, even though it is supposed to be hand-dried. This is the second time in less than a month that I've had this experience. I think they have gotten so popular that they rush everyone through. There seems to be zero attention derail and I feel completely ripped off for a $25 dollar, full-service wash that looks as if a went to some cheap, vacuum yourself, drive-thru. And I would have definitely done a far better job, myself, than they did. It's really a shame. Time to find a new place. read more

I definitely will never come to this place again. I could've went to a hand wash and vacuumed my own car if I had known about what terrible service these guys offer and how the workers treat you . Their glued to their phones and always moody which is the sad part . This is not how you run a business at all like There's more bad reviews than good and the manger and owner should be listening to those reviews . The wash is great on the outside and the people just wipe the water off the car..literally the wash does everything and they just wipe off the water since there's no electrical car blow dryer . That's about the only thing that's great about this place ... some people have been coming here years and have said that their never coming back . But here you guys go the reality of it all . This place is suppose to be so high end ? Maybe it should be shut down and give east Lansing great workers who know how to do their job . This place has lately gone down in quality and that's tough to report. The last few times I've been through the details of the finish work have been poorly attended to. Once I got the interior done but only one side of the car was vacuumed. This time the outside was left in-toweled on the driver side mirror so it was full of water drops on the mirror and housing. Come on Showroom- step up to your former quality! Otherwise I might just as well go someplace where I'm not paying for the personal attention to the car. I had a car which needed a good wash and wax before I sold it. Since I rarely have access to a place to wash my car, I generally send it to a detail shop. Showroom Shine proved to be acceptable. Just acceptable, though. I would not let them touch my new car. Their buff was sophomoric. The staff removed my parking decal in the windshield when they were cleaning, and failed to put it back in place. The staff were knowledgeable on the methods used to detail a vehicle, but their work showed a lack of attention to detail. For $80 I really expect better. read more

Disappointed. Paid for the $25 option. I noticed my back windows weren't clean in my Wagon so opened the hatch. Not vacuumed. Wheels weren't very clean and the cleaned windows were streaky. When I told the attendant that my rear storage wasn't cleaned the response was "you need to request that". "We can do it now, just pull your car through again." It is hard to imagine a better car wash! They've got a touch-free automatic car wash system, but the staff sprays down your vehicle first and then hand dries it at the end. Plus they'll clean the interior as well if you upgrade. Our vehicles always come out looking like new. Their detailing service is top notch as well! read more

I hate to give a bad rating but I was really disappointed with the quality of my detail. Using that word is a major stretch. This was a recently purchased used car and I wanted it to feel brand new. I spent $100 for what I could have done in my driveway in about 20 minutes. When I picked it up it appeared to have been vacuumed and dusted. It didn't smell fresh or like any cleaner was used. There were a few areas that were still grimy like the cup holders and door pockets. The steering column had a coffee spill on it that was there when I picked it up. There was a crumpled receipt still on the floor. I was under the impression a detail was using small tools and tricks of the trade to thoroughly clean the little crevices. Not here I guess! I went to showroom shine for a basic car wash. I drive a very nice car (2015 mustang GT) and am fairly critical about car washes. I went to Showroom Shine purely as an act of desperation as I am a college student who does not have the means to wash it by hand while in East Lansing. After returning home, I did a quick inspection to see if they had done a satisfactory job. I noticed that the back of my car between the tail lights had clearly not been cleaned well, so I returned to Showroom Shine to politely ask for a refund. The girl working the counter was very polite, I explained to her that I was not satisfied and wanted to know if a refund would be possible, so she went to get her manager. I began my conversation with him in a very professional manner. I explained my circumstances and suggested that I show him what I was talking about. I showed him the issue, which he refused to acknowledge as even being dirt, but offered to rewash it for me. I explained to him that I did not want a rewash, and corrected him. He began to raise his voice, interrupt me, and lose his temper toward me as the conversation progressed. I will admit, at this point I did raise my voice and lose some of my composure so much of anything beyond this point was just an effort to rattle his cage. Nevertheless, I believe that his attitude, close-mindedness and short temper toward customers is enough reason that nobody should do business with this man. read more

Absolutely love this car wash. I like the fact that it's a touch less car wash and they do a great job with the interior in a reasonable amount of time. What I've noticed is everything is sectioned off and done on different ends giving other co-workers some rest time in between cars if it isn't too busy. I find being able to sit down from time to time during a long shift important because I have chronic lower back pain and a minor herniated disc. read more

This car wash is overpriced and does a terrible job cleaning. I paid for the "gold wash" and when I got in my car nothing on the inside had been wiped down at all. Honestly I don't know where to begin. Another poor vacuum. At one point the quality of this place is very high and occasionally (more often then I'd like) it reaches an all time low. I've been coming here maybe twice a month since 2018. I'm an Msu Grad and if it weren't for me still living in the area I'd probably never come back. Morning's have always been the best time for me to get a vacuum because the staff did much better than the guys working closer to closing. There was always a short curly head kid or a short kid in a hoodie that never missed brake dust, bugs, or other areas of emphasis on my BMW. Haven't gotten my car wash by those guys in a year and the quality has been absolute dog water ever since. They've only ever had maybe 2-4 quality employees. My roommate got b*tched out by the manager for refusing to pay for service and I guess holding up the line because his back windows were missed and trunk was neglected. read more

Coffee got spilled in my car over the weekend. I took it to Showroom Shine in East Lansing to have the carpets shampooed and the car detailed to solve the odor problem. I picked the car up it still smelled strongly of coffee. I spoke the the gentleman who did the work about it. He took it back into the shop and tried to "fix" the problem. His solution was to douse the car with some sort of fragrance. I drove the car to work but had to have the windows down because the smell was so strong I couldn't breathe. I walked into the office and people could smell it on me from 10 feet away. They didn't dry several parts of the interior and I had to clean up the mess they left. There were spots left from the cleaning agent that I had to clean up before they stained. However, they did do a solid job of vacuuming. The fabric did come back clean. There attention to detail was pretty lacking. Needless to say, I won't be back and can't recommend them to anyone. Very disappointing. read more

Used to take my cars there regularly for detailing (and was satisfied). Last two experiences have been disappointing. My cars are newer and not trashed, yet the detailing costs have risen from an average of $135 to $180 and beyond. I understand labor costs increase over time, but really? The last few times I have used the car wash, I have been disappointed. Back window not cleaned, wheels dirty (after paying for the Gold - which included the clean). Had to ask to have the trunk vacuumed twice after initially asking for it. Had to ask for the dirty bumper to be cleaned after the car went through wash and was being dried. I've been thru a lot of car washes in my day, and let's just say this one blows my mind every time! What a roller coaster of excitement!! My latest experience was on a cold snowy day, I couldn't believe when the manager (Tony?) came outside with a tray of hot cocoa (with Marshmellos!) this made the long line feel shorter!! After having my car detailed and asking to speak to a manager about the damage they caused on my cars upholstery, he refused to speak to me. Persisting, I asked for the managers name and number, he finally came to speak with me. He proceeded to call me a liar and offer nothing in regard to covering the damage they caused. I have a newer crossover and specifically look for touchless car washes to minimize the scratches on my vehicle. I took it to Showroom Shine and asked that, instead of using the brushes that they use to get off the grime, they use the sponge mitts instead. I walked into the glass hallway and one of the guys started using the brush until I knocked on the window. Finally, he used the mitts, but the damage was done. I went to pay the young cashier, and while paying, I heard an employee yelling. I turned around and watched my car bump into the car ahead of mine on the automatic belt. I asked to talk to a manager and the cashier asked why. When I said that my car had hit the car ahead of it, she sent a manager out. He came out and said, "well, there shouldn't be any damage, it happens all the time and it is a low-speed impact. The cashier is supposed to press a button that stops the cars." No one ever apologized, and the manager acted like I was an idiot. And even after they dried the car, there were little bits of red fabric from the towel that I could not get rid of. read more
