I had my car serviced at this shop today and they have the absolutely most wonderful staff here. My car was having some additional issues going on beyond the scope of a basic oil change. Every person involved was extremely kind, professional, and frankly they all went WAY above and beyond for me. I spilled orange juice all over my (cloth) front passenger seat. I called Fast Eddie's on Cedar Street and they got back to me quickly despite being short-staffed, and let me know that they could get me in during my lunch break. HUGE thanks to Michelle who took my call, and Dave who cleaned the seat. It took about 10 minutes, looks great, and everyone I spoke to was not only nice but extremely personable. The cleaning was also affordable. I hate taking my car in for an oil change (just one of those errands I hate), but I will be happy to take it to Fast Eddie's next time. Got an oil change on 7/16. It was fantastic. Great service and it was quick. The technician asks if I'd like to add a car wash for a couple extra bucks. Sure. But it was raining that day. So I come back on 7/24 to get the car wash. I'm told the wash had expired. On 7/23. So, they put an expiration date on something that I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR. And by one day. Well, I guess they won't miss my couple of bucks and one day, because I won't be coming back for a wash or an oil change. Clearly, customer satisfaction isn't super high on their list of priorities. read more

Had a Groupon, so went there for an oil change. Was waited on by TJ, who I later learned is the "manager." He right away told me that I had waited too long to get my oil changed and now my car was trashed, so I MUST have a total oil replacement ($59). I said no, that the change oil light had come on just a week ago, so it was fine. He told me my car was trash and I would be back in within 100 miles because my oil was going to ruin my engine. He then dramatically removed the case over the air filter, complaining loudly all the time about how hard it was to remove. He removes the coolant lid and starts screaming loudly for all to hear that this was the worst coolant he's ever seen and wow what a smell. He comes over with a rag and tries to tell me my coolant is shot and my engine is going to overheat, etc. He has the (modestly dirty) air filter under his arm, which I'm sure he will next tell me is going to destroy my engine as well. DANGER DANGER WILL ROBINSON I finally interrupt him and just tell him I want the oil change and will not be buying anything else. The look he gave me was hateful, and then he starts slamming things around. He's yelling at the clerk telling her to "show that I recommended absolutely everything and SHE won't do it." He keeps pacing around my car, slamming things around. Total jerk. Finally get out of there to watch him go have a smoke and I'm sure complain about how I'm so stupid. It wasn't worth it to try to save a few bucks to go here. Won't go again. Ridiculous treatment of customers. I know that they probably break even or lose money on Groupons, but if the point is to try to get new customers, this is NOT the way to go about it. read more

Am actually sitting here getting the worse service with this kid who keeps being a total smartass trying to sell me service I dont want...then am drinking a shake so I just nadded my headed at him then he tells me "you can say something instead nadding your head at me" then continues to make smart remarks about me to his co worker so I finally blow n say I want someone else to finish my service he saids "ok am cool with that and walks away." I have always came here for my services unbelievable. Finally the manager Jeremy comes out to talk to me and see's how upset I am...he recognizes me and apologies for him the other co worker comfirms my complaints about him. The manager takes 25.00 off my bill and gives me 2 free car washes and personal tells me he will take care of his atttitude asap...Thax to Jeremy I will return for future servives but hopfully will never have to deal with this kid again. read more

Don't take your business here. My husband has been taking his vehicles here for years. He went to get his truck washed and the topper door got broken. My husband contacted the manager immediately, but he refused to take responsibility. My husband called the corporate office and they had the owner contact my husband. The owner offered to have his "guys" put the door back on, if my husband paid for the new parts. My husband refused, since it would void the warranty on the topper. Lost our business. I pulled in for an oil change and car wash #3 which was supposed to cost 33.95. Instead, I was told they couldn't do a "conventional" oil change. They said that because my car was a late model vehicle, it "required" a more expensive synthetic blend oil. They then tried to sell me a super max fully synthetic oil. Believing that they had already drained my oil pan, I opted for a semisynthetic oil. The employee said that I would receive a ten dollar mail in rebate for the special oil. When the bill arrived it was 57.00...an extra 19.00. When I complained, the manager immediately discounted my bill 7.00. When I continued to complain and started to write down the 1-800 number to Fast Eddies corporate office, the manager offered to drain the expensive oil out of my car and put in "conventional" oil, despite having already told me that type of oil would ruin my engine and void my warranty. The rebate I was offered turned out to be a "reward card" good for ten dollars off of a future oil change at this shop. I later called the corporate office and a secretary took a message and said they'd get back with me within 48 hours. They never called back. The sign in the shop that says they'll never try to sell you something you don't need is a complete lie. I left with a sheet of "recommendations" for 270 dollars worth of further treatments which my regularly maintained car does not need. The "super duper" car wash that was included was nothing more than a regular 4.00 dollar run through the machine. When I got home, I called my dealer and asked the shop whether my car required a special oil and he laughed and said no. When asked what the price of an oil change would be at the dealership he said 33.95. The same day this review was posted, the manager called me. He explained that all of the managers had gone to a corporate christmas party leaving the employees unsupervised. He apologized and said their behavior was unexcusable and offered me a free oil change. I told him I didn't want a free oil change because his shop can not be trusted. I advise folks to stay away from this crooked shop and their bait and switch tactics. read more

I normally get my oil changes at the dealership, but my car is over 100,000 miles now & I thought I'd try out Fast Eddie's. BIG MISTAKE!! They were fast, but they lied about all of the services they performed. When I called the manager the next morning he seemed uninterested & didn't want to deal with me. No apology, no offer of anything except I can bring my car back in. I don't appreciate paying for services that I don't end up getting. I called Fast Eddie's in Haslett to ask about the price of their synthetic oil change. A couple of hours later, I went there. First, some grease monkey with missing teeth barked orders at me to move my waiting car closer up. Ten minutes later, the monkey told me to get out of line because a car in a different line came in ahead of me. Then, when it was finally my turn for the oil change, they refused to honor the price I was quoted on the phone. In fact, they doubled the price. The greasy guy with missing teeth just laughed and thought that maybe on of "the wash guys" had answered the phone and gave me the wrong price. In the end, they refused to honor the price given to me on the phone and I just left with no oil change. I had wasted half an hour of my time. I won't be back to Fast Eddies. read more

My husband and I took my 2016 Subaru Forester in for a routine oil change in April 2018. They performed the oil change supposedly without incident. In mid July 2018 our oil level low light came on. My husband took the car back in and had them check it right after the light came on, they checked the oil level and said there was nothing wrong, so we went about our business. We had just had a baby the same week so we weren't thinking too much about it. After we came home we noticed a pool of oil on our garage floor, so we ended up having the car towed to William's Subaru in Lansing and they said the place where we had the previous oil change done performed it incorrectly, they put a double gasket or something on and it caused a slow oil leak. William's Subaru correctly diagnosed it and fixed the problem. My husband subsequently called Fast Eddie's corporate to talk to them and they WOULD NOT take responsibility for their incompetent lube techs. It is not about getting the money back for the oil change at this point, even so, it is only $65! Can they not afford $65 to make it right?! Our paperwork from the Subaru dealer, from licensed mechanics says the place that did the last oil change performed it incorrectly..and they STILL won't take responsibility! My husband talked to 4-5 people from corporate and managers, etc and all of them gave him the run around. They kept saying we were over for an oil change, even though we got the synthetic oil and it was supposedly good for 5,000 miles...our sticker was handwritten, and the mileage was not due according to the sticker. Even so, it doesn't matter if we were overdue, because the oil change that was done in April was done INCORRECTLY!! They should have taken responsibility for that oil change regardless of whether we were due, your lube techs still messed up! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. THEY WILL SCREW YOU OUT OF MONEY AND POTENTIALLY SCREW YOUR CAR UP!!!!!!! And if you end up having a problem with your car, managers, corporate WILL NOT CARE!!!! THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU FOR ANY WRONG DOING EVEN IF IT HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED THE MISTAKE OCCURED AT THEIR PLACE OF BUSINESS. Good Lord these people just try to upsell... It is really expensive for an oil change here. I've had my cars' oil changed about 100 times in my entire life... This was the most complex... You have to sign a waiver that you won't slip and fall when you walk through their building. Then each decision is about buying better oil more elaborate oil filters... If I could give them no stars I would. I took my truck in for an oil change, and was solicited by their salesman to change my differential fluids. I asked why is it leaking, and was told no there are no leaks it's just dark. I told them to go ahead, and right after I left I heard a clunking taking off from the stop sign. My uncle took it back they said they couldn't find it in the system. I took back myself, and they found it and told me the differentials were full, but to take it in if I kept hearing the noises to have it looked at. I took it in, and was told my differential was shot, and there was metal in it, and there was only a half quart of oil in the front. I called and talked to Matt the manager, and he told me the noise could have been coming from something else. I told him we had no problems until after we left, and it's not a coincidence that it happened right after we left there. He told me he was not going to do anything about it. I filed a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Regulation yesterday, and I will let them sort it out. read more

I took my car to Fast Eddies on S. Cedar yesterday for their $2 wash special. Cars and trucks were lined up from the back of their car wash out to S. Cedar St. I waited patiently for the deal of the day and entered behind a black 4x4 pickup. The guys working the wash had us all spaced fairly close, which wasn't an issue until the truck ahead of me hopped off the track and stopped. The roller behind my back tire kept moving and pushed me into the trailer receiver on the black truck ahead of me. I had brushes and soap all over my windshield and couldn't even see what was happening. I began blowing my car horn to get someone's attention to shut the wash down. There's just a minor dent in the front of my car, but it will eventually depreciate the car's value when I try to trade it. The management refused all responsibility for what happened and told me to call my own insurance. Michigan no-fault: It seems to me any honest, reputable business would step-up and make this right.
