I had Showtime Audio install a new head unit in my 2004 Audi S4. I also requested that they route the microphone through the headliner to the factory location, and hardwire my dashcam while they were at it. This is surely more work than a standard head unit install but they were totally receptive to what I wanted to have done. I had an idea for where I wanted the iPhone cable to come out for Carplay, and when the car was in the shop they texted some other ideas they had which turned out way better than what I initially wanted. I even mentioned that I had a rear badge for the car (that the previous owner removed) that I didn't trust myself to put on, and they installed it on the spot free of charge. Really can't recommend this place enough, the install turned out even better than expected and I'll definitely be back for my next project. read more

Fantastic service. I had a a headphone pin broken inside my auxiliary jack. Its 2007 Toyota Yaris, so just a basic commuter car and I didn't want to buy a radio just so i could listen to my iPhone. Eric looked at it and within 5 minutes he had replaced it and I was out the door. Because I parked behind the shop I got to walk through the garage and past all the cars they were working on. WOW! what a wonderful experience. I had a remote starter installed in my RAV4, 2010 from this place. it was a very smooth transaction. Very neat and clean work, I wonder where they install that equipment as I don't see anything except a small tiny piece behind the mirror, NO massy wiring at all. It took a few attempts to get some early problems solved .. issues with the amp they installed shutting off likely caused by a weak battery. I recently took my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited in for an upgrade for the audio system. Jerry and his wife are awesome! They work so well together and with you to make sure you are nothing but satisfied. I have a pair or coax speakers, two pairs of component speakers, four subs, four amplifiers, customer sub box, and cut off switch installed. It sounds literally amazing! So loud it'll hurt your ears but it keeps the quality of the sound all the way up to max volume. And the way they got everything working was so great. Can't recommend them enough. I haven't posted a review on Yelp in a very long time which is why this is so important for me to give you this information about how friggin' awesome this place is. I have an old BMW that has outdated tech in the cabin. It was driving me crazy because I can't stand listening to B96/Q101/WGCI over and over when those stations suck to begin with. Did a little research online and found an adapter for my car to add basic Bluetooth functionality. Brought it over to these guys. Jerry was such a sweetheart!! Oh my god... the other place I went to treated me like I was a moron and instead of explaining to me, spoke down to me. Not this place. I was treated with total respect and kindness, even taking the time to explain my options to me. They did the work, very reasonably priced, and I left the shop with a big old grin on my face. :) My old Beemer finally joined the having more functional audio era and I was a happy camper. I'm seriously considering after I take care of some more mechanical things with my car to bring it back here and update the radio completely since they won my trust in this visit. I have dealt with several car customization places for my cars and no doubt Showtime Audio is the top. Jerry and his team are amazing. They worked on my 2009 MB C63 by putting in a Viper Smart start, undercarriage puddle lights, retractable front plate, rear view camera, and integrated motion detector interior/exterior cameras with a backup batteries. They integrated the whole thing into my car so you can barely see them. Very professional work, great prices, short turnover time, and honest. Jerry's passion to his work is obvious when you discuss what you want. I just dropped off my 2015 Jeep Cherokee SRT to them for front tinting, WiFi interior/exterior security motion detector security cameras with integrated back up battery, Viper aftermarket security plus GPS smart start, HID LED interior bulb changes, and undercarriage LED bright white lights. Consider this the midwests version of West Coast Customs. These guys have decades of experience and deal with Ford Tempos (literally) to Lambos. I recently got a new alarm/remote start for a lot better deal than bestbuy quoted.(no unexpected costs or "extra parts needed") They are great people to do business with, ask for Jerry, Nydia or Turtle. I've found my vehicle audio guys for as long as I'm in Chicago! I went in and spoke to Jerry about CarPlay-enabled stereos and he helped me figure out what I wanted in terms of the stereo and what I didn't need, and what would fit in my car (a 2008 Pontiac Torrent). From there we scheduled the installation, I brought my car in, and it was ready that day. I noticed a small problem with the installation that required bringing the car back twice (had to call customer support for a few of the parts), and at every step of the way Jerry and his team were incredibly helpful. We got everything sorted out after the second re-visit and now things are working perfectly. I'll keep this short and simple since most of the other reviews on here will reflect the 5 star rating they deserve. I recently purchased a 1976 corvette stingray that had a nearly destroyed radio and speaker system. I sent an email asking if they were able to install a blue tooth system and upgrade the speakers yet keep the look and feel of a vintage car. The next day I got an email response back and a few days later I had EXACTLY what I wanted. With most reviews I tend to look at the customer service. I'm sure there are other shops in Chicago who could have done the same exact job, but the folks over at Showtime Audio are NICE. And they take the time to show you your new toy. I never felt like I was getting rushed out of there or that I was in their way to a 5:00PM clock whistle. read more

When I bought the car of my dreams, it was only missing one thing: a hard-wired iPod adapter. I went online and was able to buy the parts for it, but it required a lot of technical work for the install that involved removing parts of the dashboard and re-routing wires and stereo hook-ups. I didn't want to attempt this on my own, so I went looking for professionals. It took a long time for me to find Showtime Audio, but I'm so glad I did. These guys are very good at what they do, and they are also pretty quick and affordable at the same time. They can do really high-end, custom jobs like you see in shows like "Pimp My Ride," and they also will be happy to do regular equipment installs like they did for me. They were able to install everything and have it back to me within a few hours...and it all works great. If I ever have any automotive electronics needs again, these guys are going to be on the top of my list. I chose Showtime based on the amazing Yelp reviews. I had front windows tinted as well as a 2 channel dashcam (from and back) on my new Tesla Model X. Jerry and the team were awesome and went above and beyond. They advised me of all options, made recommendations, and installed everything flawlessly. We had one hardware hiccup (rear camera not working), so Jerry offered that I not pay for the dashcam until a replacement arrived, even though the front was working just fine. Unit arrived in a few days and they fit me in for a quick replacement. I will gladly use Showtime for all my auto upgrades in the future. read more

Round 2 of having a system put into my new car. This is the second system that Jerry and the boys at Showtime have installed for me. As always, these guys are patient and take the time to explain the various aspects of a system to someone that may not know the intricacies of a stereo system. And, if anything isn't just right, he makes sure to make it right. I bought some of my components on the after-market and brought them in and he didn't mind installing parts he didn't sell me - even though he was honest with me about some of my purchases wouldn't fit or be right for the system we scoped. Going back to make a few tweaks to the sound by adding some more speakers. But once again, have to give them a great review. Not the cheapest installers around, but once again why go cheap on someone that will tearing apart your car to install a system? read more

I was interested in a Viper remote starter, and was contemplating going to Best Buy to have them install it since they offered the best price. But I was wary on going to Best Buy since I've heard a lot of horror stories with their car electronics department. So I stumbled upon Showtime Audio via Viper's website, and Jerry told me he could match the price Best Buy offered. So, to Showtime I went.... When I got there, they said the model I requested was not available, but he offered a better model with the security alarm feature for just another $50. In total, I paid much less for this product (installed) then I could find anywhere else. It works great, and Jerry was able to answer all of my questions. He and his staff were very helpful and courteous. Cons: process took 4 hours (but I guess it would anywhere else), and I have to go back to get the trunk release module installed - they didn't have that particular part in stock for my 2010 Mazda3. read more

The staff is very friendly and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable as well as explain what work was done. ALL THE 5 STAR REVIEWS ARE TRUE. This was maybe the best overall customer service I've received in any situation in my LIFE. Everyone I spoke to (Jerry the owner, one of his technicians, the girl behind the desk and even the girl sweeping the floor) were incredibly polite, friendly, respectful, professional, knowledgeable, even funny!. I was having a CD player installed in a car that didn't have one..... so this was not a glamorous 9 speaker system with a subwoofer and ultra violet lights.... but Jerry treated me like a VIP customer. He did a FABULOUS job - he had to drill a very small hole in the console to run a cable, and it is so neat - what an incredible piece of work. then there was the price: $300 all in. that was for a $120 CD player and about 2hr 15m manual labor. For me, that is extremely reasonable, as this was highly technical work (I have a new Jeep and it's extremely well sealed up underneath the dashboard - heck knows how he did what he did). Ok, enough from me - just GO THERE. Don't be intimidated if you just need a small job like mine done either - just GO :-) read more

Excellent attention to detail. Showtime Audio did a very clean, well-hidden install of front and rear dash cams on my newer model Audi A3. And the price was very reasonable. What differentiates Jerry and his team is the attention to detail. He spent a lot of time with me upfront explaining options over the phone, he spent time helping me compare the video of two different models, he spent a lot of time on initial placement, and then he let me verify final placement when I picked up the car. Would recommend this place to everyone!!! For all you ladies out there, its a very women friendly place you wont get ripped off because of your gender. I had a sub woofer installed in my car and must say very impressed. The whole thing was installed real clean. Cant see any wires anywhere. Since it had only 5 star reviews I had to give them a try, since i really wanted a sub in my car. The price for the install was decent. they said that the install would take 2 or 2.5 hours but it took more. But that's OK definitely worth waiting especially since the price was great. The people that work there are awesome also. Will answer your questions and if you need a suggestion they will help you out. They also have a waiting room, where you can watch some movies if you stay and wait for your stuff to be installed. read more
