I explained it to her then when I get it it only had 1 slice of bacon and 1 slice of tomato NO LETTUCE. Then I go to pay my bill was 37 but charges my card 70. Food-wise, this is one of Odessa's best restaurants. The shrimp is of course scrumptious, the pasta dishes are amazing and I can never resist their catfish, although the Mahi-Mahi is extremely good. Be sure to leave room for dessert, because the Bread Pudding is not to be missed. If there's a flaw here, it's the service - definitely a hit or a miss. Sometimes the staff is dismissive and/or seemingly annoyed by questions and concerns, and I've been in here when the shifts seemed woefully understaffed for the time of day and expected traffic. We were the first ones in when it opened at 5, the first ones to order yet it took 50 minutes to get some chicken fried steak and Cod dinner. I was perturbed until I started eating my chicken fried steak and it was worth every minute I had to wait!!! I'm sure chicken fried steak like this grows on trees down here in old west Texas but this Omaha Girl has never had anything like it. A little dated for my liking but then again, I'm more of a monochromatic contemporary type of person. I ordered the 10oz sirloin with shrimp. 18$ i figured was a great value for the price. Considering usually this combo can run up around 24ish in the houston area at best. The steak, perfect medium well, if you like charred, no need for a sauce, TENDER steak done right. This is the place for you. I was so so surprised, i was literally biting into the steak not even needing the knife to cut through it. The mashed potatoes were pleasant, not garlicky like most places. Came here for the Sunday brunch which is buffet. The brunch starts at 10AM and we got there at 10:30 and were seated right away. It wasn't super busy, but by the time we left at noon business had definitely picked up. The seating is set kind of close, so you really have to squeeze between the seats. They have a decent selection of food with an omelette and waffle station as well. The food tasted good, but didn't have a WOW factor. It took nearly 30 minutes for the apps to leave the kitchen. What the nachos lacked in quality they made up for in volume. It was a massive stack of burned chips, hardened cheese, unseasoned beef and sad veggies. They were supposed to come with jalapeños but did not. The calamari was unremarkable, though not crunchy in the least. We ordered our entrees, sat for 15 minutes with an empty water cup, asked for water, waited another 20 minutes, still no water still no food, and had to walk into the kitchen to find my server to cancel my order and pay for my appetizer. We had an awful experience tonight. We were here for a family reunion and a reservation was made for our large group (about 20 people) for 6pm. We arrived on time - actually a little early - and were promptly seated. It took probably 15 minutes before drink orders were taken & menus were handed out. It took probably 20 minutes or more to get our drinks passed out, and then finally our orders were taken. About 8pm, maybe a tad before, the few people who ordered the fixed price dinner received their appetizer. By 8:30pm, most of the party was leaving due to no food being served, empty drinks, and no waitstaff in sight. We were told when orders were taken they were short-staffed and a bus boy was having to help wait tables, so we knew there might be a slight delay. But the restaurant was overall not super busy, other than our group and another that was seated after us (and served before us). One family member told a waiter (the manager had conveniently just left for a moment) they should be serving plates as they were ready because if they didn't, some would inevitably be cold. We also didn't understand why, if they knew we had such a large party, they didn't ask one or two people to come in to exclusively serve the party while the other waitstaff served the other patrons. Doesn't seem like rocket science, and yet here we are. My husband went back to the restaurant after we left to try to reconcile our tab to at least pay for our iced tea and salad bar, but no waiter in sight. Overly expensive place for bad service and some food. I visited with my husband on a Friday night. We paid $80 for a buffet low quality taste dinner and also service. I believe our server was an Emily, she sat us down and brought our drinks after that she never came back to us or to refill our drinks. I was almost chocking and needed more water. When we called for the check another lady went to get her and Emily was nowhere to be found then she snuck her head out from a wall and I heard her say we were not her table. Like wtf!! I will not waste my money here again! We went here last night for our 10th wedding anniversary dinner because my husband knew I loved crab legs. We decided on the seafood buffet and you just tell your server you want crab legs. When she brought my crab legs they were almost cold and had no flavor. My wine was served in a clear plastic cup yet they charged me full price for it. That angered me to no end! (Part of the price you pay for a glass of wine in a restaurant is for the dishwashing of the glass.) My husband ordered a Guinness and asked for it in a mug. He didn't get the mug, just the bottle. I tried the chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy and it was okay. The chicken looked freshly hand breaded and cooked but it was too tough and the mashed potatoes were too thin. The gravy was thicker than the mashed potatoes! I've had way better at a locally owned fast food restaurant. The French fries tasted like frozen crinkle cut fries and the salad bar was too small/lacked enough choices. The grilled vegetables were not cooked enough and, again, lacked in flavor. Everything lacked in flavor except the dessert. I'm just angry they charge such a high price for mediocre food and service. The one thing they had that was good was a dessert and the server couldn't even tell me what it was. It was in a small trifle dish and was a layered cheesecake dessert but I couldn't figure out what flavor it was. I asked her to find out what it was but after 15 minutes of waiting we gave up. My husband and I went there today for the breakfast buffet and it was hideous. The bacon was ice cold and very chewy. The green and black olives on the salad bar tasted rancid. The peel and eat shrimp were as hard as rocks and completely tasteless. The asado was nothing but gristle and fat and saturated with grease. They advertised a carving station, which didn't exist. The fried pork chops were so hard and old you could break a tooth biting into them. The roasted potatoes were raw in the middle. The shrimp pasta was ice cold. The only thing I ate was a salad (lettuce and tomato only) and over medium eggs. The biscuits were so hard they wouldn't even soak up the yolk. Our bill was $53.00. Highway robbery. Unfortunately this was the worst dining experience I have ever had. The worst part is, I don't just blame the staff. This goes deeper to management. This was my first visit. My mom raved on about how good the food was and how much she loved the pasta bar. So I was very excited to try it out. When we first arrived, my grandparents had already been seated. We go sit down and wait about 20 minutes. No one came to our table to ask for a drink order or a food order. Eventually we got up and helped ourselves to the buffet/ pasta bar. I didn't see a menu or anything. I finally asked a waiter to come to our table for drinks. He never came back with them. At this point I decided to order a drink. Again, I had to find a waiter to ask. He brought me my glass of wine before anyone else's beverages. Keep in mind, we were already done eating and my pasta had already been prepared at the bar. Once they come to the table and we run out of water, we couldn't get a re-fill. I found a pitcher of water and had to re-fill all of our water glasses multiple times. The waiter wasn't overly friendly, which is fine, we all have bad days and I myself use to be a waiter. I just felt he was very unorganized and disrespectful. He didn't know how to manage the 2 tables he had. No one received anything at the table unless we went to the back and had to ask for it. He just kept disappearing. I saw the bus boy more than him. The food was good but not great. The worst part of the meal was at the end when they refused to give my mom a to-go box.They claimed because it was buffet night and we had the buffet, we couldn't take it home. They gave me one but not my mom one. and I had the pasta bar, which was suppose to be the exception for to-go. They claimed that since my mom had some of my papas shrimp from the buffet, she couldn't take home her pasta. I just felt it was very rude and unprofessional the way they handled the situation. I finally walked over to the MCM lobby and got a plastic cup for her to put it in. Probably wasn't the best idea I could've come up with, but for the price we paid, with the terrible service, I felt it was only fair for her to take her food home. As awful as the service was, I don't just blame the servers. I mostly blame management. It is clear they have trained their employees to treat customers to not take care of them or deny them basic needs. If service continues that way, it's going to hurt/ ruin the reputation of MCM brand. MCM is suppose to be a special experience, and now I would rank them lower than Chilis. Over priced food for not great service. This is my first yelp review I have ever written. I try to think of others before judging an entire restaurant. But if enough people complain, maybe the management can save it before it's too late. I don't think I will ever go back. read more

I went today 3/26/17, for the brunch. Advertised price is $19.99 per adult. To start, it took right around 10 minutes for a waitress to even come by the table let alone get some drinks. We waited patiently while two tables that were seated after us got their drinks first. I went up to order eggs, the lady cooking the eggs seemed agitated that i was even there. Tried some fried catfish on the bar along with carrots and zuccini. The fish was cold and chewy like it had been sitting for a day and the vegetables were ice cold as well. Went back up to try the almond encrusted cod and the corn and carrots, the cod had a very bad odor to it so i didnt eat it and the corn and carrots were ice cold as well. The first thing I noticed was the receptionist was sitting with her feet on the table and surfing her phone. When we walked up, she just looked up and said we could seat ourselves anywhere. Not skipping a beat on what was on her phone. The walk to the table was another sign because there was food and crumbs all over the carpet and around the tables. When we finally seated ourselves, we were greeted by a very "hip" waiter, wish I could remember his name.
