Their smoked ribs are decent in flavor but not much to write home about. When I got my ribs they were just rewarmed as biting into some of them, it was cold in the middle. Sides also tasted just okay.

    Burnt okra for anyone?

I went on the day they were just reheating leftovers for the same price. The pulled pork was dry and ribs were just an oily greasy mess. To make matters worse, they burnt my okra and was uneatable. They have a lot of good reviews but I am definitely not visiting here again :(((((. Overall, this was one of the worst lunches I have ever had.

This was the best bar b q pork sandwich I have had in Tennessee. It was almost as good as Abe's Bar B Q in Clarksdale, MS. I met the owner Jeff while I was dining in the restaurant. He stated that he's been in business since 1986. He also said that he had to pay $10,000 for the secret recipe from an owner of a bar b q restaurant at that time who passed away. Like others, you need to come at a time when they are not busy to find a -parking place. They do have a drive thru that circles around the back of the restaurant. You enter on the right side and go to the back which is where the drive thru window is and come out on the left side. menu items ordered: coke, bar b q pork sandwich, and crinkle cut French fries. Your coke comes with free refills which is self serve. The bar b q sandwich came with slaw and bar b q sauce that was put on with an amount by the chef. In summary, I will come back for their bar b q plus try their banana pudding and fried okra because of other's reviews.

The food was really good and the tater logs were yummy. Not a big fan of their slaw, but that's a personal thing and I'm sure lots of people love it. The meet was tender and the pork was very moist. The beef was a slightly dry but very flavourful. I've traveled around America and have been blessed to eat at the best barbecue places around the country - this is good. Their sauce is very unique. Dark molasses based sauce with a very slight hint of clove which works perfectly on the pork, but (in my opinion) isn't as much of a hit with the beef. I bet it's great with their chicken though!! You can tell that this is a labour of love and that they put that love into their food. They're not trying to be something they aren't. This is an old style side of the road barbecue shack and there "ain't nothin' wrong with that"!! I will definitely be back and next time I'm going to tackle one of their amazing looking stuffed baked potatoes. I saw one of those things come out and thought it was football covered in pork!!

Not your fanciest place but the food is soooo good. Seems like it's mostly a carry out place but we dined in. We were in town for a wedding and stopped here on Valentine's Day. They answered our questions regarding the menu and our food came out quickly and steaming hot. So much food but oh so delicious. Chicken was moist and had great flavors. Get the tator logs and fried okra. You won't regret it. The best part of the whole meal (even though we were so stuffed) was the banana pudding. Wow!! I've never tasted anything so delicious. Would come back just for that alone. This place cannot be missed.

I got a recommendation for Barque and I am so glad I had a chance to give them a chance. Equisitely…read moresmoked meats. The atmosphere here is rather divey. It is in a small cinder block building Inside you have a counter and doors that open into the kitchen so they could bring out the foot. Fast service. I tried the tacos, brisket and pulled pork. Pulled pork was nicely done and the salsa, sour cream, and sauce were a perfect topping with the onions and cilantro. The brisket was done perfectly. Nice and juicy. I am not sure if this is the best BBQ in Chattanooga, but it is the best I have found thus far.

The price for the food was okay - pricier than other places but the portions were generous. The meat was tender and juicy but there's no smoky flavor or smoke ring. It doesn't even smell smoky around the restaurant. It was also not really seasoned. We tried pork, brisket, and chicken. Nothing bad but nothing great. The baked beans and macaroni and cheese deserve accolades though and bump a star. We did try the nachos and the chips were pretty bland and disappointing. Overall I think the meats need better seasoning as things tended towards bland. Maybe we went on an off day. It was around 2 p.m. and we were the only people there. We were pretty hyped to try it because of the reviews but left a bit disappointed. For comparison, we're huge BBQ fans - like Lewis, Wright's, SAW's, etc. so maybe it's just not our style. I love smoky, well seasoned meats.

It makes for a hearty lunch after a morning hike, bike or run. My last visit was on a snowy Friday afternoon. I had the 8-dollar pork barbecue sandwich with a side of green beans and mashed potatoes. The barbecue checks all the boxes: smoky (not plain),tender and juicy (not dry) and well-cut (not too stringy or chunky). The slaw and sweet sauce were a nice accompaniment. The sides were good and what you might expect. They weren't overly cooked, salted or spiced, and my young son enjoyed them. The location has a healthy amount of mountain/country ambience, a cabinesque feel complete with wood carved animals and clever signs. Locally made a Shaker furniture and bags of pork rinds are for sale out front. At the moment, the main dining area is closed, so we ordered at the walk-up window and waited in the cozy, enclosed and heated porch area, which has both table and counter seating. The food was ready quickly and the folks were friendly, credit cards were accepted and bellies were filled.
