My husband and I decided to give Juicy Seafood a try. He's the seafood fan between the two of us, while I'm definitely not. He thought the seafood was good, but it wasn't his favorite place we've been. Since seafood isn't really my thing, I ordered the burger instead. Unfortunately, it wasn't my favorite. It had a bit of a fishy residue/taste, which I'm guessing comes from being cooked in a kitchen that primarily serves seafood. If you love seafood, that may not bother you at all, but as someone who doesn't enjoy seafood, it just wasn't for me. Arrived to be TOLD they have no accommodation. All items are booked in the same water and all fried food is fried in the same grease. Regardless that you have allergies you are unable to eat at this location. The waitress didn't check with the kitchen or the manager staff. Jenny wasn't understanding of what was being said. She bypassed what was being said. Isreal understood what was being said. Stated that I needed to say something again no on made it right to make sure I received a meal. The "no refund" policy on the menu should've sent us running for the hills. Hands down, the worst crab cakes I've ever seen or tasted in my life. I cannot believe these are even legally classified as such. The seafood was ok, juicy is for sure but that's cause it's soaked in "butter," which is definitely butter flavored seed oil. The crawfish are served whole, and the cracking process sliced my thumb open. Just inconvenient and unhealthy. The service was ok and friendly. My husband and I went for our anniversary, the service was great, we both ordered the fried combo with catfish and shrimp ($15/each). Both were cooked well. The catfish was a little muddy, probably needed to be soaked in milk longer. He also got a mixed drink ($10) and I got an unsweetened tea($3). The starter sauce was mostly mayo and came in prepackaged containers, fresh starter sauce would have been better. We got our bill and paid without reviewing the receipt, when we got home we noticed that the bill we paid was someone else's and was $68, the food and they ordered was nothing close to what we ordered. For a crab and seafood restaurant not by the ocean, I am SUPER impressed. I had the no.2 and no.3 combo with my family, and it was amazing. The crab is super good. The seasoning is super good. This style of seafood appears to be a growing trend in the South and I'm good with that. The process is akin to a low country boil, which allows flavors to marinate together. When done properly, that can produce a delicious meal. I came here for a family birthday party and when it was all over, I felt like I was the one celebrating. The space for indoor seating is massive, as it used to be a Ryan's Buffet. Our group had a number of tables and surprisingly only one server. But that guy, he nailed it. We were ordered drinks, appetizers, large plates, small plates, and more. Only two orders had a mixup and he was sure to bring out the correct items quickly. When it was all said and done, there were empty crab legs, mussel shells, and plates as far as the eye could see. I am beyond impressed by the quality service provided and the quality food prepared for the 30+ of us there that evening. Also, there's usually a 15% service charge for large groups. Our server stated he doesn't add that to the ticket because he believes his service will earn his tip. He was spot on about that. If you're in the area, stop in! Angel was our server and she was fabulous! Very nice and attentive. We got gumbo to start and it was flavorful with smoked sausage and shrimp. Followed by calamari (small pieces but a large serving) and breaded butterfly shrimp. All was very tasty. For Cleveland Tennessee, this is amazing. Great seafood boils with crab, shrimp, mussels, oysters, etc... Also had good fried shrimp if you're not in for the boil, but they also provide gloves and bibs to limit the mess, a little pricey, but fresh seafood should be... I will be back...often! read more
