    Warm Smoked Turkey Sandwich**
    Jared P.

Chattanooga is a meat town. Main Street Meats seems perfectly content with that fact. This is a butcher shop that happens to feed you, which is usually a promising arrangement. Nothing arrives looking like it spent twenty minutes being positioned with tweezers. It's meat, bread, potatoes, pickles and sauce--the sort of food that requires napkins and leaves evidence. The Reuben is borderline obscene. A heap of deeply colored, tender meat barely contained between aggressively toasted bread, melted cheese and pickles. It's messy. It falls apart. You stop caring almost immediately. The turkey club is the quieter surprise. Thick slices of actual turkey--not the sad, uniformly circular stuff that's been haunting office refrigerators since the Eisenhower administration--piled onto grilled bread with bacon, avocado and enough richness to make the whole thing work. Then there are the potatoes: thick, fried rounds with crisp, dark edges and soft centers, served without ceremony alongside ketchup and a creamy orange sauce. Simple food done properly. There's nowhere for bad technique to hide. And that's really the appeal of Main Street Meats. They're not trying to convince you that lunch needs a backstory. They butcher animals, understand meat, make sandwiches and appear to take all of it seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Michelin noticed the place. After eating here, it's not particularly difficult to understand why. Come hungry. Order too much. Get the Reuben. Wear a shirt you don't particularly care about.

Absolutely amazing. This was a standout steak dinner. Ordered the Niman ribeye and filet. We preferred the ribeye but both were so delicious, the ribeye just had than extra oomph for us. We subbed mashed potatoes for cut fries and broccoli and this was the way to go! The broccoli was so delicious, I love the char taste + Parmesan. We had two glasses of wine and finished off the meal with their chocolate gelato. I'll be raving about this meal to anyone who chooses to visit Chattanooga. Very great service, indoor and outdoor seating, and no wait (waitlist available if there is).

Parking is right across the way and street parking super easy, all the staff are so friendly and hospitable and helpful! The vibe inside is super cute - rustic dim lit vibes. But the FOOD !?!? MY GOODNESS. Came back for the burger TWO DAYS IN A ROW- SO DELICIOUS!! And the Ribs - do NOT come here and not experience the ribs. Everything else i can't speak for but the burger and the ribs are ELITE. The food quality here is unmatched.

Arrived on a Wednesday around 7 pm and the place was busy but I was able to sit at the small bar without waiting. Ordered the strip steak medium and mashed potatoes. The potatoes were tasty but the star of the show as expected, was the steak. It was cooked perfectly with a great grilled flavor and a little jus. I have eaten steak at this restaurant 5-6 times and it is always the best. Beware this is a small restaurant so there will likely be a wait but no doubt, it will be worth it! Highly recommend

We stopped at MSM for a quick bite on our way back to Atlanta after visiting Rosie Mae's. The plan was just a little teaser since we were heading home for dinner... but wow. There were three of us, so we shared one burger with fries (they're potatoes sliced into coin-sized pieces ) and each had a cocktail. Everything was delicious. The ambiance, the crowd, the staff, total vibe. The energy in this place is so good. Honestly, I'm low-key mad we only ordered one burger between the three of us because it was THAT good. I'd absolutely go back and order my own next time. Great spot, great food, great energy.

If you're in Chattanooga and want a meal that feels both elevated and comforting, Main Street Meats is the spot. We started with their cornbread appetizer, and let me just say--it's the kind of cornbread that makes you rethink every other version you've ever had. Perfectly baked, rich, and just the right balance of sweet and savory. For the main event, I went with the pork porterhouse paired with goat cheese grits, and wow. The pork was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection, and the creamy, tangy grits were the perfect sidekick. It's one of those dishes you'll be craving long after you leave. On top of the incredible food, I have to give a big shoutout to Madeline. She wasn't just our bartender--she was our host, guide, and storyteller for the evening. Attentive, welcoming, and spot-on with recommendations, she really elevated the whole experience. Main Street Meats nails the vibe: a mix of upscale dining with a warm, approachable feel. Between the food, atmosphere, and Madeline's hospitality, it's easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in Chattanooga. Highly recommend!

This was a happy accident. I was suppose to go to a different spot but said let me give this place a try. It was truly amazing. I love the finished wood minimalist look. Indoor and outdoor covered seating. The service Shoutout Lex!!!was amazing, and the entire team was amazing. The food was so fresh and the meat melted in my mouth. Everything tasted amazing. One of the best meals I've had in Chattanooga in a long time. The broccoli was so good a little salty but it was such a chill vibe. There is a bar with lots of aged libations and a large bar variety.

Holy cow!!!! A must dine-in spot in Chattanooga in my opinion. The sandwiches at lunchtime (including burgers) are DELICIOUS. We had the Warm Smoked Turkey and a burger and split them. They totally knew the drill in terms of splitting a sandwich half-and-half for two people to share!! I would HIGHLY recommend going here. It's so fun to eat locally, and this had a complete local field from the food to the ambiance and the AMAZING service (thanks Seth!). If I lived in Chattanooga, this would be my go to lunch spot for meeting friends. But NOW it will just be my go to lunch spot every time I'm in town!! My boyfriend wouldn't let me make this review complete, without shouting out there incredible bourbon selection too ! just a cherry on top of a perfect experience

Is this a kid friendly restaurant?

I don't recall a kids menu and every thing seemed "more involved" than food that kids usually like.

Why do open at Noon on Saturday's?

The butcher shop opens at 11am and the restaurant opens at noon for lunch service. Happy to get you started with a beverage if you come in before noon. Hope this helps!

Entertaining a vegetarian and would like to bring her here for dinner - is there an off-menu entree available?

The do not officially have a vegetarian menu. They do have salads, hummus, and sorted cheese.

So on my first mainland trip in a couple years, I have been trying different burger shops. Jack Brown's had really high reviews, had a super fun vibe, and a really creative menu, which I love. Service was on point. Let's get the elephant out of the room right now - the size. lol I was prepared for a small burger from all the reviews, but, Shake Shack has a small burger, Jack-in-the-Box has a small burger. It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight and the dog. But I ain't gonna lie, that is one tiny burger! It's like...five bites? One for each corner, and then the middle. lol They might be better off coring the middle, and marketing them as hamburger donuts. The easy fix is just order an extra patty for a few bucks more. Same as Shake Shack. The other thing I have a problem with is the, "we don't do lettuce or tomato..." line. Sorry, that's like a pizza with no toppings. Really, it just sounds like they found a way to reduce overhead by not having to prep and pay for vegetables. But whatever... if great burgers can be made without lettuce and tomato, and without a big patty...let's get it on. I'm sorry, but that patty was charbroiled to the point of no juice. This is where a tomato might help with moisture. lol I don't see how this is actually Wagyu. A Wagyu burger should be melting in my mouth. I don't know what happened, but it reminded me of my first job at Burger King, running whoppers through the flame broil conveyor belt. If you got one that just came out, you scored big time. But if you got one that just sat in the warmer for 10 minutes, you got a dry burger. It was a very disappointing burger. Then again, I just had a Shake Shack burger yesterday, and it was nomnom greasy goodness. Of course I was going to be disappointed. It's like Ozzy Osbourne following up Slipknot as the opening act. The fries were great. They came in a huge basket, and the price was very reasonable.

We tried a few beers from Five Wits and per her recommendation got the creamsicle shake as well. Solid beverage choices. The shake tasted part float part milkshake and it was absolutely delicious. Would order again. The food on the other hand was a bit eh. We ordered the Asian q burger and the mushroom melt burger and it took quite a while for them to come out and when they did they had unfortunately been left on the grill for way too long and were charred and crunchy. One set of our fries was cold and the bun to burger ratio was extremely off. Luckily, the staff agreed that our burgers were accidentally overcooked and they remade them no questions asked. The remade burgers were moist and better but still not fantastic. They were just burgers with minimal toppings on them. Not really seasoned and the flavor came from the toppings themselves. The buns were still too big for the burgers so there was a lot of extra bread and they have potential to be great but they were just average. Would have probably been a three star review but the staff and drink selection really earned the extra star. Would go back to drink and maybe snack but probably not order a burger.

Everything about this experience was top-notch! From being seated quickly upon entering, to explaining how the ticket validation thing worked (more info at the end), customer service was some of the best I've been shown. The ambiance is chic but casual-great for both cozy date night or fun family night. Our server was so friendly and patient as we asked questions about the menu. I ordered the grilled salmon with spicy crab remoulade and my guy ordered the smoked wings with a side of fries. I was happy that I was able to select my own sides from the ones on the menu so I opted for the fried Brussels sprouts with maple and bacon and the buttermilk whipped potatoes. After a short wait, our food was brought out. This was truly one of the best salmon dishes I have ever eaten! The salmon was cooked to my liking, the potatoes were soft and fluffy and the fried Brussels sprouts were absolutely divine and perfect. The remoulade was a little salty but it may have been just been my taste. The potatoes helped with that so it was not a deal breaker. My guy was pleased with his food as well and I could tell he enjoyed everything he ate. We agreed that we would take this trip back just to eat this meal again. It was truly a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. I highly recommend trying this gem out! Pro Tip: The restaurant validates parking. If you park in the lot across the street, do not prepay on the app or online. Ask the servers at the front to validate to save the $18 parking fee before you order and within 15 minutes after entering. Unfortunately, we didn't do this and the restaurant cannot reimburse the money after you've already paid. You've been warned!

We were given the options of staying inside or being placed outside and we chose (biased a lil) the opportunity of eating outside. We were taken care of accordingly by Jonathan, who is a perfect example of someone that makes tourism worth it, we chitchatted back-and-forth and came across some great options on our appetizers and drinks. While we waited for drinks, we were served water with ice as the weather outside was pleasant but a little too hot for the afternoon... When the appetizers arrived, we were greeted by not only demonstration, but taste above what I've had as of recent. Wife enjoyed the freshness of the tomatoes and cheese whilst I was mesmerized by how subtle and uber smooth my Old Fashioned was. We unwinded and talked about our day here in this city and then our next meal plates arrived. I had the very unique and well presented Beet Ravioli and the wife had the exquisite Spicy Lamb Rigatoni. Immediate upon arrival to our table my wife and I exchanged a bite of each other's plates to give a chance for our taste pallets to experience one another. The Beet Ravioli took back my wife to a time where she made something of similar taste and the Rigatoni took me back to California when I tasted something familiar then.
