I had Danny come out to install a screen door shutter about 6-8 months ago. Danny was very knowledgeable and had good prices. The shutter has worked pretty good. However there were some issues with him as a contractor: 1. He calls me up before the work was done and asks me if I could pay him all the money upfront because he has a cash flow issue and needs the money to purchase my shutter from the factory. I already gave him %50 of the quote price previously and told him no, you need to complete the work first. 2. He nor his business does the work himself and he basically subcontracted to another company that came out and did my shutter and told me to make out the check to them. So He was more like a middle man. He also forgot to instruct them on what we agreed upon for making the shutter configuration and wasn't even there to come check on the work by the subcontractor company installed the shutter, which is a standard practice in general contracting. That is why I'm giving a 3 star rating.

Danny Goldberg installed 11 plantation shutters in my home in 2017. They have all turned yellow and the latches have literally disintegrated into pieces. I had contacted him 2 years ago to have them replaced and he said he would do that. I was then asked by Danny to call the person who manufactured the shutters for him and they came to my home looked at the shutters and agreed that they needed to be replaced based on my 30 year warranty. Then both he and Danny disappeared never to be heard from again. Now the shutters are in even worse shape that 2 years ago. It makes me crazy to look at them every day and I will be taking further action.

Shopped around several small businesses for shutters. They all gave good quotes but Danny was gave us the best competitive price without sacrificing quality. The shutters we got were American made and came out beautifully. We also waited a couple weeks for installation which was sooner than most companies could do for us. Danny responded really quickly when I reached out for a consultation, and was able to come take measurements very promptly. When he came, he was efficient and very knowledgeable. We recently had shutters installed and it was an extraordinary experience with Shutters OC. It was sort of last minute and we needed shutters within a month. During this time with all the shortage supplies and stuff, everywhere we asked had extremely long turnaround times (10-20 weeks), cost way more money, and/or proposed non-wood alternatives. Danny was competitively priced and guaranteed quality wood shutters installed in under a month. Danny delivered and we love our shutters. We would definitely recommend Shutters OC. read more

On Feb 1 2024 I received email from OC Shutters with only one word "Asshole". I guess he is still hating me for my honest bed review on Yelp. In the past he sent me couple emails to withdraw my yelp review in exchange for free blind which i refused. I think he is removing bed reviews by offering free blinds. Stay away from him. I got my shutters installed by the manufacturer in Corona where he ordered my shutters. He did not pay manufacturer for my shutters. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This man Danny Goldberg took almost 2000 dollars from me 3 months ago to install woven woods in my kitchen and family room. After he stood up a really good friend of mine that he owed a shade and fixing her shades that broke after installing them. I used Danny years ago to install upstairs shades and they came out great. This time was a different situation . He told me after supposedly speaking to the company it was a 2 week lead time after giving him a deposit of $1600.00 when i contacted the company I had ordered from they told me wovens was a 5 week lead time. . Finally contacted the company and was told Danny never had placed my order in the first place. She also told me that he owes them a lot of money as well as other people who's money he has stolen. I as well as my friend plan on taking him to court and perhaps calling the police for stealing our money. He keeps sending me texts that make no sense with supposed dates for installation when I know he never ordered my shades. Stay away from ocshutters. Instead I ordered through IC blinds who the company had recommended to me. He is terrific. read more

Danny was prompt answered my questions over phone/txt. I sent him measurements over the phone for all windows he quickly calculated the price and gave me a quote. He then came over to LA on a Sunday and measured the windows and placed the order. He did not try to upsell, stuck to the quote he gave me. I had the blinds installed in 4 days! I highly recommend Danny, he is a professional, did a great job and in future will call him for all our and friends shutter/ blinds needs. read more

He was out the following day and measured the windows and was able to get me on schedule to have our shutters in production asap. Contacted Danny after purchasing our home for our 8 windows. Due to a big project, he was busy and had his dad come out to measure. It was fairly quick and got them measured the next couple of days. His dad gave me a lower quote which I didn't know and I decided to go through with it. Danny had to contact me right away to get this confusion cleared and gave me the more accurate price but it was still reasonable for 8 windows. During this time, he also threw in holiday discount so I was very pleased with the pricing. It took about 3-4 weeks for the shutters to be done. The installation took about 40 mins. I heard they would remove the blinds for you but I had them already removed so it can be done quickly. He came back to take measurements and explain different choices on the shutters. There were a few things that I had to ponder about and Eric gave me his opinions/suggestions. I could have paid an extra $300 to have it done in a month but decided I wasn't in a hurry. The installers Johnny and Luis were super efficient and very nice. They did a great job with installation. They couldn't install the shutters on one of windows and told me Eric would be in touch. First thing the next morning I received an email from Eric apologizing saying he had made an error and he would have the shutters redone. He paid to have the shutters done in the shorter time (four weeks). Johnny and Luis came back yesterday and installed the last shutter. It took them 15 minutes. The first company I dealt with left me with more questions than answers when their rep finished his pitch.
