I really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere is festive, spacious, and very reminiscent of Mexico. Unfortunately, the food and service fell short. To start, the guacamole was nothing special and had an unappetizing yellow tint. I ordered a Michelada made with club soda instead of beer, while the flavor was great and authentic, I wish the server had advised me that substituting the alcohol would still cost the full $13.99. For dinner, we ordered the Choripollo and the Tostada Caribe. The portions were large, and I was excited for the variety of seafood in my tostada. However, the menu didn't mention that it is served in an overwhelmingly spicy brine, nor did our server warn me. It wasn't a language barrier issue either, as we spoke in Spanish the entire time. Lastly, we ordered a beer promoted on a tabletop card as a $3 special. When the bill arrived, we were charged full price and told the deal was only for Cinco de Mayo--even though it's now June 3rd. Management needs to update their table promotions so customers aren't misled. This level of service ultimately falls on management for not properly training their staff. Food was delicious! Husband got the arroz con pollo and inhaled it. I got the vegetarian enchiladas and also loved it. Their rice and beans were perfect. Price was very reasonable. My husband and I each got an entree, free chips and salsa, and I got the biggest margarita I have ever seen in my life. They have small, medium, and large. I got the large and my, was it large! Strong too--not watered down for size. I had a hard time finishing it, and I can drink a margarita! Plus the portions were big so I also have lunch for tomorrow. Our waitress was so sweet! I've tried to give this place a chance multiple times but when I call you can hear them answer then hang up so I have to call twice everytime my wife or I go to pick up food they are rude like they dont care. We had 3 Barbacoa Tacos Americano which I have to say are the best I've ever had. No extra toppings needed, just a little squeeze of lime and they were perfection! Let me first start off by saying the food here is really good BUT the service is not good and there were roaches literally crawling out of the seat I was sitting on last time I was there. Multiple, 3-4. It takes a long time to get your food, even when theres like no customers. I've ordered the same dish both times I've been here and it was served to me completely different both times. The servers all sit down and have full on meals while you are waiting for your food and they don't seem happy at all. This place needs to step it up with its customer service training and it's cleanliness. Based on the prior Yelp reviews, I got a Restaurant.com gift card to check this place out ($15 off $30 at the restaurant). Since we're used to over-priced Mexican food on the peninsula, I figured I'd need it. You don't. This place is super reasonably priced -- the three taco plate was only $6.99, so we ended up ordering a LOT of lunch to get to our $30 limit in order to use the gift card. But, they also said you could get things from the shop next door in addition to add up to $30 if you wanted. That's not bad since you can pick up avocados, onions and such a pretty cheap prices. We just didn't know that ahead of time or we probably would have gone that route. Oh, and if you have the gift card, you need the phone app to use it. They can't process it printed out for some reason (not hard -- you're just supposed to call the number on the sheet, but hey, whatever -- they said they couldn't do it). So, on to the food experience. First, we got some guacamole, salsa and chips. The guac was very good - chunky and mild (no jalapeños) - the salsa was literally water with very little taste, and the chips were a little weird. Super thick. Not the thin crunchy style I'm more accustomed to. For entrees, I ordered the pork taco platter with a side of beans and my partner ordered huge mixed fajita plate. That's where everything went downhill for me. The first taco was just okay -- I've had better at a couple other places in town -- but I was like, eh, they are cheaper than most, so alright, I'll roll with it. Until I hit the second taco. Bone shards. BONE in the meat! Disgusting. I nearly chipped a tooth. I tried to soldier on after that but I couldn't. I ate a few of the beans instead, and again, pretty bland, I've had better other places. Partner shared a bit of his fajita platter instead and that was fairly tasty, though again, we've been to other places in town where the tortillas are fresher. Service was pretty slow on top of all of that. So, I probably would have put this place firmly in the 3 star range if it weren't for the bone incident followed by the long processing time it took to get our gift card applied. And since it's sort of out of our way, we probably won't be back. If you're adventurous, want cheap Mexican food, and are in the area, you may want to give it a shot. read more

Place was clean just small. A few TVs around but nothing much. Let's talk about the food... I had 1 tacos Mexicanos, one tacos americanos and one Gordita. Tacos Mexicanos was AMAZING! Well seasoned and all. I think I had the pulled pork tacos americanos, and I noticed that there was still bone fragments in the meat so be careful. Still amazingly flavored though. The Gordita was not as crunchy and light like I'm use to, but it was still good. Not use to having beans on there either. They had 4 different salsas for us to try and they all tasted pretty good. This was my first time visiting thus restaurant, I came here due to a request by my friend. I love small authentic Mexican restaurants because that's where the heart and soul and real taste of Mexico normally is. The restaurant is small, with a convenience store attached to it (this is where you pay) with international items from clothes, shoes, and food. We were halfway done with our meal (and after waving her down, and coming to the table to ask if we were done with our hot sauces) did she bring us our drinks. I'm always on the hunt for those little authentic oases hiding amidst the morass of fast food and chain-restaurants. Places where people are serving what they eat as a family, or back home in their communities, to lucky customers with a sense of adventure. Mexico Lindo is one such oasis. My daughter and I stopped in on our way back from Busch Gardens. It takes some effort to get there from I-64, but it is well worth it. This place is authentic, delicious, and inexpensive. My daughter had the kids quesadilla with rice and beans and loved it. I went with my trusty litmus test when at a new establishment like this, tacos al pastor. They were FANTASTIC. Served on homemade corn tortillas with cilantro and onion and a fat wedge of lime. Three squeeze bottles of sauce were on hand. Two green and one orange. The orange had a nice fruity tang but was quite spicy. The light green sauce had a nice lime and cilantro taste up front and a green chili blast that crept up on you. The dark green sauce was mild with a nice kick of garlic. Having been in the sun and heat all day, I stuck with the dark green sauce. It was perfect with the pork in my pastor. I saw so many unique items along with street food classics that I will definitely be back for. They also have a bakery and market attached to the restaurant. This Mexican place is as Authentic as it gets. The food is Great! They have Aguas Frescas which lets you know that you will be having some amazing food no matter what you decide to order! This place is a must try! You will not be disappointed. It is connected to a little Mexican store that is well stocked from your favorite Mexican candy to Mexican breads and chips. They even sell the good old Mexican boots and belts. It is a clean atmosphere. There is the two different TVs as well which sometimes they will have the novelas or music videos playing.
