Overall this place was really good. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because it was a bit of a wait and we were one of two tables being served. I know they have some to go orders but it just seemed like maybe there was only one chef in the kitchen. The food however was amazing! Went there yesterday with 4 other people. The atmosphere was fine, although my wife thought it was a little dark. The food was good, but not outstanding. I much prefer excellent Chinese food over Thai food, but probably is because of extensive experience with the former, but limited with the latter. An example. The egg rolls at this restaurant were expensive, but very small. At our favorite Chinese restaurant, the egg rolls are more than twice the size of the egg rolls here at about 1/2 the price. Also, the Chinese egg rolls tasted better. Having said all that, it I had a hankering for Thai food, this is a place I would return to. Service was attentive and pleasant. We also tried the pad Thai with shrimp and omg hands down that was my favorite. You could really taste the tamarind sauce. I order it spicy and it was spicy enough to eat comfortably. The noodles were delicious and cooked to perfection (al dente). We also ordered the Hawaiian fried rice with chicken and shrimp. This one was ok. I felt it lacked flavor and I found it dry. The sweet and sour pork was disappointing, lots of vegetables and very little pieces of pork. My brother ended up getting the same thing I did lol. The curry with duck was a hit. My brother kept saying it was really delicious. My hubby ordered the seafood soup which was really good too. The portion was generous :) Their Thai tea is delicious too! Strong and flavorful. Their service was excellent. The waitress was so nice and attentive. We asked for a sample of the Thai tea and she was happy to provide us with 4 samples! We got there at 11:00 because on Yelp it says they open at 11:00 but the door says they open at 11:30 so we kind of waited outside. Loved their food, and I've been searching for a good Thai place for a year now. Their fried rice is some of the best I've had in a long time: I like that they aren't afraid to put some seasoning and msg in there. The smokey/savory flavor is something that seems hard to find in the area, and you certainly won't find it at a place like Panda Express. I would also recommend their green curry. I love how light the sauce is. Okay stuff: Wanton soup: crispy vegetables and good broth, but is even better if you add a little soy sauce and their green chili oil to it. Things I wouldn't recommend: Pad Thai: WAY too heavy of a sauce. If the sauce were cut in half or diluted with broth, it would be much better. It was pretty pungent, too. Ohhh yes! Siam Thai did not disappoint. This was one of the best Thom ka soups I've ever had. Not only was the presentation amazing, but it had a ton of vegetables. I ordered the tofu and veggies version. Our waitress was very busy but we did not need to ask for anything during our visit. One evening came here with the fam and friends because we were craving for some Thai food. The location was clean, well kept, nicely decorated, the service was fast, and the staff was friendly and kind. We ordered a Pad Tai, a Duck Pineapple Curry dish, a Green Curry with Seafood Dish, and a Hot and Spicy Noodles with Basil. The food was of decent quality, and everyone enjoyed everything. The price is a little high but not still not astronomical. After I finished eating I went to the loo to do some serious business, because I believe no experience is truly complete till one uses the loo and let it all out in the end. For every start there must be an end. Even if the end, ends in the loo. What goes in must come out folks! It's a closure thing. The loo was very retro, and old. I can tell it would made around the late 90s or older. It needed a bit of cleaning, and the toilet paper was running low. Only standard issue toilet paper here. The soap was of decent quality, it has a nice pleasant clean smell with a hint of basil. The paper towels was of decent quality, not too rough at all, not bad. The urinal was definitely not small children friendly. The throne was only slightly more powerful than the common house toilet. Be cautious doing curtesy flushes here. We live like 3 minutes from here and have just never went. From the outside it is very unassuming, even a little scary looking. Tried it today, and it is the best thai food I have ever had. Will be a go to place from now on. The appetizer sampler was good. A stand out was the chicken satay with peanut sauce. You could put that peanut sauce on anything and it would be amazing. The shrimp pad thai was the best I have ever had. The vegetable and tofu green curry was delicious. The perfect amount of spice for me as I ordered mild, and am pretty sensitive to spicy foods. Maybe inflation has got up with Thai foods but their foods are a bit high comparing to the portion itself. As an Asian, I don't eat that big of a portion and this place the foods could barely fill me up and it was quite high for its portion. So be prepared to order multiple dishes. In addition, the service was a mehh for sure. We came in a large party and we were trying to share the foods with each other and my mom accidentally put the dish plate on top of her plate and one of the lady server were being rude about it and gave my mom a rolled eyes she gave off the attitude right off the batch so be prepared if you ever come! TL;DR: I have been to a fair amount of Thai joints in my time, and Siam ranks highly among them. If I'm being honest, it's my favorite. Their yellow curry is unparalleled. When you ask for Thai Hot, you get it. Everything I've tried has been good. Flavorful food, excellent service, wonderful ambiance. Everything here is authentic. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot; you won't regret it. Siam Thai is a gem, a veritable joint. This a family-owned restaurant, run by actual Thai people. It's situated in a dilapidated strip mall, next to some unsavory businesses (that, frankly, made me feel uncomfortable) in the cultural and spiritual void that is Glendale, AZ. You've never seen a town so depressing. Coming from NJ, I had definite culture shock. It's an odd location for such a wonderful restaurant. I've been a patron for over 15 years. I've never had a particularly bad experience at Siam. The service is always excellent; the staff has always been polite. The interior always feels clean and orderly. They have a real shrine at the cash register area. If you end up eating here, take note of all the little eccentricities and objects. This place has character. I've never waited an excessive amount of time for a meal to come out, nor received rude service. I've never had an outright bad dish here. I recall there being a time or two where it may not have been as spicy or as tasty as usual, but those were rare. It was always a treat to indulge in an experience at Siam - whether that be dining in or getting takeout. As a side note, my late uncle, who lived in Thailand for some time, including on a ship, praised Siam. He accompanied me on a few occasions when visiting in town, and never had a bad word to say. We were craving for some Thai food on a Saturday night. This place had great reviews on Yelp. Ordered a Drunken Noodles, Pineapple fried rice and coconut icecream. The quantity was more than adequate but they messed it up on the spice level. Our medium was their bland. The food tasted good but nothing like the reviews where people claim this to be the best thai food in the world. The ice cream was pretty amazing. Finally found a great place in Arizona for stuffed chicken wings aka Angel wings. These puppies are huge crispy stuffed with delicious meat, noodles and vegetables and one of the best dipping sauces I've ever had. I have also had the pad Thai which is excellent and looking forward to trying new things at this restaurant. I only come here when I am out on the west side taking care of business. But I think on the weekends I would come out here and take the drive solely for the food. The staff is very typical tie and very very nice and attentive to detail and they take pride in their restaurant and food. You can taste and feel the difference. Siam, located in a tiny strip mall, may lack luster from the outside but serves a pretty decent dish of Thai cuisine! While not my favorite place to go for Thai food, this place offers a pretty delicious bowl of Tom Kha and Duck with Pineapple Curry The Tom Kha is rich and creamy and full of delicious coconut milk but could use more lemongrass. Whenever duck is an option on the menu, I naturally order that as my choice of protein. While the pineapple curry doesn't have too much of a pineapple kick, the subtle hints of it gave it a nice after-taste. Siam does seem to go light-handed on spice so if you're feeling bold, get it a level higher than what you normally order! The place is kept very clean and the servers are pretty friendly. I wouldn't exactly drive out of my way to come here but hey: the food is warm, filling, and flavorful! It's worth a try! read more

I'm a regular here. This is the BEST Thai restaurant in Glendale. From the outside it looks cheesy but on the inside it is very beautiful.

They have a small table shoved in the corner that's kind of odd and really shoved in and when we arrived maybe 1/2 the tables were filled and the server said we could have the regular table or the little corner one so I picked the regular table and then she said we couldn't have it and settled for the shoved in corner table. I wouldn't have mentioned this in my review but I did because the very next couple that came in she allowed them to have the table I wanted. I'm not removing stars for that but that is what happened. We ordered egg rolls that came out fast and were good. I ordered the Pad Gra Pow. I liked that they added a nice selection of fresh vegetables to it and the sliced white meat chicken was cooked nice and wasn't dry. This dish tasted good but lacked enough Basil and that is the point to this dish. Also this dish is traditionally made with hand chopped chicken that has more surface and gets more infused with flavor than sliced chicken so that would have been better. I liked that they offer brown rice so I ordered brown rice however the up charge was $2.00. My husband ordered the Hot and spicy noodles with beef. The dish was fresh and interesting but the beef was a little tough and chewy and not too developed with flavor. I was here before and had one of the curry dishes and liked that much more than the dishes we just had and would have given a higher rating if we ordered different dishes. 3.5 stars read more
