Yellow curry with noodles(my new favorite), phad-se-ew with chicken, and pineapple fried rice with pork.

This is hands down our favorite Thai restaurant. Every time we've gone it's been delicious and the staff is awesome.

This is a great little Thai spot in Northwest Phoenix. There's plenty of parking in a lot shared with a few other businesses in a strip mall along Lake Pleasant Parkway in Peoria. We are always greeted warmly, and the service is exceptional and very friendly. The food is also very good. Everything here tastes delicious. They use clean grease for the fried food items and the vegetables are fresh. Today we ordered: - Coke Fountain Drink - Thai Iced Tea - FRESH SPRING ROLLS STARTER - 3 pieces, rice noodles, cilantro, carrots & lettuce. The spring rolls are sliced in half so it's actually like six pieces. The kids always order these and really enjoy them. - CRAB WONTONS STARTER - 6 pieces, crab meat w/ cream cheese in wonton wrapper. Very good crowd pleaser - ORANGE CHICKEN ENTREE - Battered fried chicken served with sweet orange sauce on the side (This is one of our favorites and we order it for the table to share) - FRIED CATFISH W/ SALA THAI SAUCE - panko crusted, battered fried fish fillet with Thai chili sauce on the side (I ordered this with spice at level three which was perfect for me. It's a bit spicy, but not so much that it's painful. The waiter said this was one of his favorites and a very good meal. I agree that it was so delicious and fried perfectly. The fish was mild and tender, and the Panko crust was crunchy, with very clean grease used. I will definitely order this again. - GARLIC SNOW PEAS ENTREE - Snow peas, fried garlic, carrots, onions & bell peppers. This looks absolutely delicious. This is the second time hubs has ordered this so it must be very good. He added chicken. - WONTON SOUP - Ground chicken OR pork wrapped wontons with mixed vegetables. My daughter ordered this with chicken. It's a large steaming bowl of comfort. She loved it and ate all of it. - DRUNKEN NOODLES (PAD KEE MOW) - my son ordered this with added chicken. This was a good classic noodle dish that he enjoyed. - PHAD-THAI - Rice noodles, eggs, beansprouts, green onions and ground peanuts. This was a nice classic pad Thai dish. My daughter loved it. There is table and booth seating inside. I noticed a lot of to-go meal orders kept the staff quite busy as well. Our food is brought out quickly and it was nice and hot. We had a party of five and were seated immediately. They accommodated us by pushing tables together. There is a men's and women's restroom inside for customers.

Honestly I'm pretty impressed with the food in arizona considering I'm from California so I'm not really sure what to expect. We tried this thai place after looking up on Yelp and decided to come here! We ordered fried catfish with chili sauce, Tom yum soup and crazy noodles ? 1. Catfish with chili sauce: 4/5 this was really really good! Comes with rice and it was definitely one of my favorite. However, it was a bit salty in my opinion but otherwise, it's great! 2. Tom yum soup: 5/5 SOOO GOODDD and comes with lots of mushroom, shrimp and tomatoes. I would definitely order this again! 3. Crazy noodles: 5/5 similar to pad see ew but has more veggies like cabbage and carrots. It's still really good. I would order this again! Service was great and attentive even when the restaurant was filled with people!

Great service and large portions! The servers here are from Thailand and adorable. The food was abundant. I had to take half of it home. The Pad Thai sauce was on the sweet side. Mango sticky rice was warm and the coconut cream...so good. I ordered. Coconut ice cream... large scoop, good texture and flavor.

I love tofu garden rolls... They are my favorite Thai food! I stopped at this location and was so disappointed with the tofu as they either deep-fried it or just fried it so it was dead. Hard as a rock, I brought it to the waitresses attention and she said they were are cutting them thinner and they turn out hard now. Don't waste your $10.

    Pineapple fried rice

Not a bad experience at all! Really liked the wontons - just a little small. I prefer a wonton with a little more density. The edamame came out a little late and didn't have much salt. Food was solid. Great things to say about pineapple fried rice, but phad see ew was okay. Good place to stop at if you're craving Thai food!

Small venue with delicious food! We were looking for a good Thai restaurant while visiting in Sun City. Our old spot closed down a few years ago, so we were extremely happy to find this place! We were promptly greeted and sat. The restaurant was maybe half full, but by the time we had ordered, it was full, with about 2-3 people waiting for take out. I took that as a good sign! My standard Thai meal is Red Curry with chicken. If I like your version, I will be back. I might try something else, or I might not, depending on my mood. I ordered spicy level 3, which turned out to be just right. I got the heat without losing the flavor. Sala's version includes red and green peppers, zucchini, green beans, bamboo shoots, and basil leaves. It was as good as anything I've had back home, and made me realize how long it's been since I've had this dish! Drunken Noodles, Pepper Steak, and Cashew Chicken, as well as eggrolls, were ordered by the rest of the table. Everyone loved their dishes. The owner was helping out the waitstaff at our visit, and said he would be revamping the menu a bit in the next few weeks. Since I won't be back until next year, he'll have plenty of time to work out any kinks. I look forward to a future visit! 60/2023

As a proud Yelp Elite, I decided to give this place a chance because the reviews were the best I saw in the city! The place was busy on a Sunday night and it is small but I never say customers waiting too long. There were two larger parties seated so the food took some time but nothing outrageous. We started with the calamari, spring rolls, and crab wontons. The calamari were the biggest I've ever seen and very delicious! Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the spring rolls or crab wontons. I feel like those are hard to get wrong but I was not a fan of the cream cheese that was used and it was a lot of it, barely any imitation crab. For entrees, I had the spicy basil and substituted ground chicken for chicken breast, my personal preference. I ordered level 2 spice but it was still a bit spicy for me. Trying a new Thai place is always hit or miss with spice levels so I actually thought I was being safe with 2. Additionally, the chicken was so bland. Some Thai places season their chicken, some do not and unfortunately Pad Thai Cafe missed that mark. My partner ordered the short rib curry dish and my goodness, it smelled like heaven and tasted just as good. I don't eat beef but had to taste it and it was divine! He also ordered spice level 2 and his dish was not as spicy as mine. Overall, the rest of the party enjoyed their food and there were good flavors there so I'd definitely recommend the entrees, not so much the starters.

We'd eaten here many times before in years past, but it's been a year or so since we've been back. We ordered fresh spring rolls, potstickers, orange chicken, & pork pad Thai, with a side of brown rice. The only thing that was any good at all, was the steamed brown rice. In past experiences there everything seemed cooked from scratch using fresh ingredients. This time, everything appeared to be food purchased pre-prepared, instant packaged food, or bagged frozen food, which was then just deep fried or warmed up in a microwave. I've eaten orange chicken many times and at many other restaurants, including here, and this tasted nothing like anything like I've ever had - it was awful, pungent almost. Plus, the chicken in it was so tough, so full of gristle, and chewy, it was inedible. The pork pad Thai tasted like it had been stir fried using old oil; it was super greasy and we only ate a small portion of it. The potstickers were clearly just re-heated in a microwave, and they were so tough and so hard to chew, we each took one bite and just set them on the plate, and stopped there. The spring rolls just fell apart in the box; and looked more like a box of shredded lettuce & shredded carrots - so there was no dipping them in peanut sauce. Grr... In the end... most of what was a $60 order for two, was thrown away. Sadly, this place used to cook great Thai, but we will never be going back. I hope the owners take note, and return the food to the quality it once was.

This place seemed like our best bet. Since this time of year is busy in AZ with so many snowbirds, I booked a reservation through the online portal. It didn't end up being necessary. We were seated right away and never asked about our reservation. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. From the parking lot, it looks small and more like a fast food place, but it is actually looks double the size once you get inside. It has a nice sit-down ambience with new, clean, and somewhat rigid booths. Straight posture was definitely encouraged here in these upright seats. Although it does seem like a lot of people might order items to go, we were shielded from any traffic while eating. To start, we shared some sushi rolls. The spicy salmon was nice, but I really liked the sweetness of the unagi eel roll. They were a little sloppy in preparation, but this didn't impact the flavor. Each plate came with 8 pieces of sushi, some sliced ginger, and a small ball of wasabi. My uncle asked for an additional plate of wasabi and the server delivered it, but he commented on how they usually end up throwing it away because most people don't eat much of the green ball of fire. The table had a container of disposable chopsticks as well as two types of soy sauce. I was delighted to find the 50% less sodium variety with the green label. small plates with one paper napkin each were part of the setup. We had to ask our server for more napkins after my husband splatter soy sauce all over himself. The server brought just two more. It really wasn't enough to fix the 101-dalmatian spots he had acquired from the black soy splattered all over his white jacket. We also ordered curry. My uncle indulged in the pumpkin curry with shrimp. The bowl was massive - much bigger than mine. I had the red curry with tofu. It was beautifully presented with perfectly formed cubes of extra firm tofu lined up in the yellow soup. There was also bright red strips of bell pepper adding a pop of contrasting color. Unfortunately it didn't seem like my curry was well blended. It was as if they added cold coconut milk to a hot pan and it possibly heated up too fast causing it to separate and slightly curdle. Despite this, it still tasted good. I did have some trouble with the large size of tofu and the length of the bell pepper strips. I wish both had been just a tad bit smaller to fit in my mouth. I only had a spoon, so cutting the pieces wasn't an option. To go, I ordered the spicy green beans with shrimp to take home to my mom. She enjoyed two meals out of it. The shrimp was large and plump. Plus there was no shell or tail to pull off making it much easier and more pleasant to eat. Our bill came out to just over $100 with iced tea and sake added to the above. It seemed reasonable for the five plates we ordered. We had come during happy hour where certain items are a dollar cheaper, but I don't think we ended up ordering off that discounted menu. All and all, it was a decent meal and experience. I might come back here because of the convenient location and the availability of both sushi and Thai curry on the menu.

I ordered the way I did on purpose. These are my go to Thai dishes. The staples. I wanted to taste everything I consider my personal favorites so I could really gauge the restaurant across the board. The vegetable egg rolls and chicken satay were good. Solid. The potstickers were good. The chicken larb was actually good, maybe a little too much sugar, it tasted slightly sweet, but still one of the stronger dishes. Mango sticky rice was enjoyable. The Thai iced tea, flavor was on point. That's actually my first indicator when I try a Thai restaurant. The only thing that would've made it better is crushed ice. Real Thai spots usually use crushed ice. It melts perfectly and dilutes the sweetness just right. When you use block ice, the tea stays too sweet longer. Crushed ice gives it that smooth balance. Small detail, but that's how I gauge authenticity. Now to the honest part. The pad Thai was mediocre. It was lacking. I've definitely had better and I wouldn't recommend that dish. The spicy fried rice was okay, nothing special. The lad na gravy was way too thick, and instead of using Chinese broccoli, they used regular American broccoli. That's usually my second give when I rate a Thai restaurant. Traditional lad na uses Chinese broccoli. That swap changes the texture and the authenticity of the dish. They also didn't have the typical sauce that usually complements lad na, which I found strange for a Thai restaurant. The Thai fried rice was decent. Overall, I'm giving this place four stars. Here's my why. First, they didn't have common condiments that are pretty standard at most Thai restaurants. That threw me off. Second, the service. They weren't rude at all. Everyone was friendly. But the attentiveness just wasn't there, especially considering we placed a large order and the restaurant wasn't that busy. Third, the flavor and authenticity details. It just didn't hit the way traditional Thai food usually does. I've eaten Thai food all my life, especially in Thai Town in California and throughout Orange County, and the flavor profile here wasn't on that level. If someone asked me if I would return, probably not. But don't let my review stop you. Be your own judge. My goal isn't to hurt the business. It's feedback. Tighten up the service, dial in the flavor, stick closer to traditional ingredients, and it could easily level up to five stars for my taste. And yes, expectations vary. I've eaten a lot of Thai food, so I may be grading on a different curve. One more tip, if you're a party of six or more, double check your receipt. Gratuity was already included in ours and I didn't realize until I got back to where I was staying since I'm out of town. I had to call and have the extra tip removed. Just keeping it real.
