I ordered curbside, so I can't speak to the inside ambiance. However the service was to notch, and the food (Chicken Satay, Dumplings, and Massaman Curry with Chicken) was super tasty. This place is close so I will for sure be back.

We've come back for dinner and a late lunch twice in the past two weeks. We were just craving some good Thai from this place. The service is as pleasant as ever, and the sitting area is large and clean with plenty of booths and tables to choose from. On our first trip in, we ordered to-go food for Hubs, to take home for his dinner. Our server, who I believe is also the owner, took down the order accurately and made sure to start the order 15 minutes before we were going to leave, and had to go order ready right when we were paying our bill. That is some excellent timing.

Plenty of self parking in the strip mall lot. Cute, colorfully decorated restaurant, plenty of room , clean, tables available. Prompt service, friendly staff. Wine, beer, and beverages available. Food was good, made with fresh ingredients. I enjoyed the pad Thai with tofu. Other diners in our party enjoyed spicy eggplant stir fry, orange chicken. All selections were good! Prices reasonable. A nice dining experience!

A bright and cheerful interior welcomes you to Jai Thai. I wasn't expecting such a large place. I was seated at a window booth. There were only two other tables on a Saturday lunchtime. I was a little disappointed that I couldn't get lunch but had to order off the regular menu. I chose the Panang curry with chicken. I wanted to try something different! Typically I don't go for many curries because they're overly sweet, and unfortunately, this was the case this time. I ordered medium spice level, but it was only subtly-spiced. This curry came in a large bowl (served with a small side of jasmine rice - again, a very small serving for the dinner menu!) and had the consistency of broth, which I wasn't expecting. The chicken was cut very thinly and was dry and chewy. I slurped through and ate the chicken though because I was so hungry. I'm spoiled because I've learned the wonders of velveting proteins when stir frying and so I was disappointed that the chicken was so tough. I may return during the week when they offer lunch specials. Based on other reviews, people certainly have their favorites that bring them in here. I think it's a welcome addition to this area and I wonder if they saw more traffic their consistency might improve. If you like Thai food, I encourage you to come and try them out - you might find a favorite dish that will keep bringing you back!

Beware: The "boba" is more like grass-jelly than the round balls. And at $9.50, its sometime we'll not order again here. However, I think their pad-see-ew is fantastic! The chicken in it was so tender and moist. And at a lunch deal price point of $13.99, it's affordable. The soup that came with was noticable salty, but the egg roll was nice and crispy. 90% of the dining rooms were empty at 1pm on a Friday, which is a travesty. This place deserves more business. I was impressed with everything at this location. From the outside, I didn't even realize it was going to be this big and so well decorated, so I was astonished. There's plenty of room to host at least 70-100 customers, plus a separate section if you want to host your own party or a seminar. As usual, I tried my go-to Drunken Noodles to judge the place, and it was definitely worth it. The staff lady was very nice and answered all my questions. Would definitely come back here again.

I just want to start off with saying.. Thank you Jai Thai! This is a must place to try out. I come here quite a bit. The food is delicious. Made fast and tasteful. Clean and relaxing atmosphere. Great customer service as always..maybe it's just me..lol Do try the lunch specials.. Thank you Jai Thai!!!

    Drunken noodles with tofu

I have been all about drunken noodles lately and was working in the area so I stopped here for takeout for an early dinner. I ordered online and my order was ready pretty quickly! The restaurant was pretty empty when I arrived! Just one couple dining in. It didn't look like a typical Thai restaurant, it had a nautical type theme going on, and spa-like music playing. And it was set up a little off like bathrooms and a desk when you walk in but there's not like a hostess there you have to keep walking to get to where the seats and bar is and stuff. I got drunken noodles with tofu and added some extra tofu too, the portion was nice and big! I did wish there were some more veggies, a bit less sauce, and a bit more flavorful. I got mine medium and it seemed like true medium spice! Overall it was good though and I hope they get some more business.

Their house blend is the best sauce I've ever had, that alone is what keeps us coming back, I believe it is a Viet style Cajun sauce. We usually get the build your own combo, with crawfish, snow crab, and a few appetizers like french fries, garlic noodles, and onion rings. I believe they have changed management recently, or in the past few years. Although the sauce remains delicious, the food quality seems to be falling, and I see that they have a few food safety violations listed on their Yelp. The garlic noodles were swimming in the watery sauce, and the Cajun fries were not tossed, just sprinkled on top. The restaurant has never been that busy when we go, and there is usually is only one server doing all the hosting, food running, and waitressing. Ours seemed to be a little stressed today, and did not refill our drinks as much as we would've preferred, and forgot things like our salt and pepper. We will probably still keep coming just for that sauce, but looks like the restaurant has a few things to work out to bring back its former glory.

The waitress was attentive the whole time, bathrooms were clean, and I really appreciated how mindful the staff was with my deaf friend. That always stands out to me. The calamari was okay. I liked it, but my friend said she's definitely had better. I also had to ask for lemon with the calamari. Last time I came with a friend they were completely out of lemons, so I was glad that wasn't an issue this time. I'd probably try something different instead of the calamari next visit though. We got the Pier 88 combo crab boil with the "All of the Above" seasoning in mild. It came out super quick and was very well seasoned. I personally thought it leaned a little salty, but I also saw other tables adding extra salt to their food, so I guess it just depends on your taste. We started with the clam chowder, which was extremely watered down and completely lacking in flavor. It tasted more like soup that had been diluted than a proper chowder. We also ordered shrimp with the Pier 88 seasoning, but the spices were barely noticeable--there was almost no seasoning at all, which is pretty disappointing for a place that markets itself around bold flavors. The service was just okay--nothing terrible, but nothing that made up for the food. Overall, the experience didn't live up to the hype, and we won't be returning.

We finally had to flag down a host who literally told our waiter we just wanted to leave. After about two hours in what can only be described as mediocre restaurant purgatory, we were finally able to pay and get out. Bottom line, slow service, poor attention, and food that doesn't make up for it. Not worth it.
