This city doesn't have many options to eat out, but am super glad they have this joint here. The seating arrangement is at a safe distance but we ordered to-go so cannot comment on the dine-in experience. We ordered a variety of items. Starting from Golden Shrimp, Veg Fried Rice with Tofu, Pho Beef, Pad Woon Sen. Overall, the food is very good especially Pad Woon Sen and PASDDA. I was really skeptical about ordering Pho at a Thai restaurant but ordered anyways taking a risk and surprisingly it was good. I mean I've had a lot better Pho at a lot of different locations but in a Thai restaurant I was really impressed. Also, the management seemed friendly and the kitchen (you can see it from the cash register) is clean. Overall, satisfied with the food, location and service. Would definitely revisit when am in the town

My husband and I are always in a hunt for good food and it always brings up back to Siam thai restaurant where the food is so delicious and fresh! This restaurant is the best for authentic Thai cuisine and will not disappoint you. It used to be the Bangkok Thai restaurant in Effingham,Il and they moved to Charleston IL ,now known as Siam Thai Cuisine. My husband LOVES the Thai Ice Coffee and I love The young coconut water :-) I would recommend crab ragoon, egg rolls as a good appetizer to begin with. My favorite is the Thai Beef Salad which is exotic and aromatic and The meat is tender (yummy). If you do not like meat salads , you HAVE TO try the Papaya Salad! Freshness in one plate. If you like soup, we recommend Tom yum koong which is a shrimp lemon grass flavored soup and it reminds us of our vacation in Bangkok. Good soup especially to keep you warm. For the main course, Basil chicken with cashews n veggies that are cooked to perfection n Hawaiin chicken which is served with stir fried sweet and sour sauce and pineapple with veggies are our favorite. Not to forget the impeccable hospitality and service by the owners. Give this a big LIKE on Our Menu. Food is reasonably price.

Always a pleasure. Good food at a fair price. Pad Thai is great as are the other dishes I've been brave enough to try.

Excellent food. Spring Rolls are crisp and delicious. Tried the Pad See Ew and Chicken Fried Rice. Both very tasty and large portions.

This pains me to leave a review, because I'm sure the business is struggling post COVID... but if…read moreyou run a corrupt business then prepare yourself for reviews. We came from out of town for lunch and saw decent reviews -- but BEWARE because good reviews are before COVID. We sat and the older lady immediately brought 4 waters to the table and walked away. We looked at the menus and she returned to take our order and warned us the prices are NOT accurate. I asked her by how much, and she said it's up by $3 because inflation (the entrees were already priced at $10.95 for chicken and $12.95 for shrimp)-- so add $3 to that. You'd assume the produce was fresh and decent portion sizes. What was ordered: 2 red curries (shrimp), and 1 shrimp fried rice. She walks to the kitchen and all we hear are the sounds of a microwave door being opened, buttons pressed, and ringing once food was ready. 5-10 mins later, all our meals were out. This was by far the nastiest Thai food ever. Portions sizes were 1 scoop of white rice and a small bowl for the curry. 4 pieces of shrimp with tail on it. Curry tasted like sugar water. Fried rice was cold in the middle and sweet in flavor. High salt content for sure. She comes around and asks if we needed more rice -- here I assumed she realized she gave VERY LITTLE amount of rice and came to her senses. The bill comes around totaled to $60+. She charged $4 for the extra white rice, $4 for the waters, and $31+ for the curries, $15+ for the fried rice. BEWARE AND TURN AWAY. I had her drop $4 from the bill because of how she never asked if we wanted waters, and never explained the rice was being charged as extra. She was extremely rude and pushy during this whole experience and was just honestly annoying to deal with. Do not come here. Oh and there was hair in the food.

The food was made from fresh ingredients and very good. Customer service was fine…read more We will continue to eat here when we are back in Effingham.

First I want to say a huge apology to the staff tonight, we did NOT realize we overstayed for an hour after closing! We are so sorry!! Our family came from Ohio and we came from KCMO so we were very excited to see each other and we sat and talked and ate for two hours. The incredible staff were so gracious and kind! We ordered so much food and everything was fresh and delicious!! You will absolutely NOT be disappointed. We didn't take any pictures because we destroyed it way too fast!

Upon walking in, we were greeted, and I decor to take time to look at the menu. We decided to get several meal options and sushi rolls. We ordered shrimp and meatball pho, Mongolian beef, chicken and shrimp, fushion combo rolls, shaggy dog roll and taro Oreo smoothie. The pho broth lacked flavor. Also, I had to ask for toppings that were supposed to be included with my pho. When asked where the basil was, I was told they were out, and that they usually get some from the store down from them, but they were closed. I explained that if I'd know that, I would have chosen another option. I also had to ask for sauces such as the oyster and siratcha sauce. The sushi rolls were okay, but nothing to rave over. When I attempted to order the Taro Milk Tea, were told the my were out of boba, so we opted for the taro Oreo smoothie. As far as the Mongolian combo plate, the steak and chic was super processed and felt like it came out of a bag. For almost $100, I would expect to receive better quality food and honesty on what options are actually available. We were definitely disappointed in this experience.
