Marco's is head and shoulders above an unusual glut of local pizza options in a small river town…read morelike Marietta, PA. Their pizza has a good crust -- thin enough to fold and eat, but with a good flavor as well. (Sicilian style also is available if you prefer a thicker crust.) Like all good pizza, you don't need to hide this under a pile of toppings. Just the pizza, maybe just add pepporoni or mushrooms or whatever your favorite is. When I was new to Marietta, I tried all the local places and Marco's is #1 for pizza, and also #1 for having a full menu. Marco's also has a meatball sub that would make your Italian grandma blush. Order it with a layer of mozzerella on top and it comes out all toasted and crispy and tasting like childhood in NYC. The menu has other Italian staples like pasta and garlic bread, but it doesn't stop there. If you want some turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, Marco's has it. Or for lunch, go for the burger special. It's all good, and served with a smile every time!

Not fancy by any means. If you are looking for ambiance, go elsewhere. The menu is varied, you can…read moreget sandwiches, pizza, Italian food and other choices. The prices are very fair and the bar prices are also affordable. Down home friendly service. Had zeppolis for dessert---$4.10 and 3 people couldn't finish them. My wife had veal parm and I had chicken cacciatore. Both dishes were very tasty. Again, not fancy, not gourmet, but very good for and wholesome. Great value.

Tell me you have no clue how to make and box a pizza, without telling me you have no clue how to make a pizza.

You would think a restaurant would bring the appetizers out first but no that's not what happened they brought the appetizers with the main meal. That was ridiculous and should never have happened. They were not busy whatsoever. Our waitress was also not very good, again no one in there at all that we saw. She seemed more annoyed with having to wait on us. Very disappointed. My sandwich was great. Calamari was just ok! Not horrible just ok. Boneless wings were not good at all, hard and lacked sauce. Cheese steak that my other half order was strange more like chopped burger than steak! Disappointing visit will be quite a while before we return!!!

We were in more of a dining room mood but we weren't asked for our opinion and were taken to a high 2-person table in what we assumed was the pizzeria. I have a temperamental back, so these chairs were not going to work for me, so we asked to be relocated to a nicer table. We were shown to another table right away. Both the dining room and pizzeria were nearly full, and hopping with energy! Our expectations were high! Any restaurant that serves Guinness beer on tap earns a bonus star from me! Unfortunately, the flavor was a little off and I get the impression that not too many customers drink the Guinness. It struck me as beer that was a little past its expiration date. Thankfully our food was very good. Everything had a distinctive and agreeable flavor. Even the bread and olive oil had us cutting extra slices. I ordered the quattro formatti pizza and added bacon. It was as unique and tasty as it sounds. If you look closely at the picture you'll see that someone took a bite before I had a chance to photograph it. But apart from that, notice all the different colors and textures, which made for a nice, lively pizza. In the other photo you can see the chicken parmigiana, which they agreed to substitute Alfredo sauce instead of marinara. That was a delicious dish as well! We ended up way too full for dessert!! It's too bad because there were lots of interesting options to choose from. If we ever find ourselves in Mount Joy again we'll surely consider coming here again. The only thing that left a bad taste was the old-tasting beer.
