Well I gave them another try even though I Never even got an apology about the steak Stromboli without steak. So the pizza was ok but the subs they don't put anything on the ends of their subs. So either end is just bread.

This was their rendition of a Mexican salad. Not grilled chicken but a clump of lunch meat.

Basically one of the very few places open for dinner on a Monday night. Menu seemed okay and the website was functional. But definitely a disappointing take out experience. First, my order was complete and accurate, which was a good start. The pizza was just alright - crust wasn't too crispy and likely too many vegetables on it near the center, which made that part mushy and watery. But the biggest problem was the Mexican chicken salad, which was advertised as mixed greens (I got iceberg) and grilled chicken (I got clumps of deli meat). Just not quality ingredients I was expecting. Best thing I would recommend was the chicken Parm dinner, that was good.

Marcello's is under NEW ownership/management and the new owner was born and raised in Italy so the sauce is more authentic Italian than most pizza shops. He works there daily so you know there is pride of ownership! The interior is all freshly redone with new tables and booths and bright open feel. The slices looked delicious even at 2pm, normally a time when food isn't as fresh since it's less busy. I got the caprese pizza with fresh mozzarella, grape tomatoes and sautéed basil. Nice thin floppy slice with a tender crust and slight crunch. Wish I had ordered more! Will definitely be back to try the mango hab pizza, the shrimp and avocado sal and the yumminess that looked like an Italian grinder and a pizza crust had a baby. Plenty of parking, perfect for families.

If I could give it a minus rating, I would. The food was terrible. It wasn't hot at all. It tasted awful. Never eating there again.

I found Marcello's Pizza very bland. The sauce was especially blah. Nice amount of cheese & toppings, tho.

Still two steps over there. So in fact, there is no handicap access for someone in a wheelchair. Fortunately, I am able to use a cane and was able to ascend a few stairs to the interior. Inside is a small restaurant with a counter for ordering and a handful of tables for seating if eating there. We stood at the order counter several minutes before anyone acknowledged our presence. In their defense, they were busy filling orders, placing to go orders on their warming area, and continuing to cook. Finally, the "cook" looked over & said, "I apologize for the wait, we'll will be with you in a minute." The young person who finally took our order seemed a bit inexperienced, but we weren't in much of a rush. Nevertheless, there still were several slip ups in our order. My wife ordered a BLT. When they asked if she wanted it on white or wheat, she said, "white, please, toasted and no onion." What she didn't realize (my wife) was that white or wheat meant a brioche style hamburger bun not traditional sliced bread. That was not clear until we asked after being served -- and were told they don't use "regular bread". Second hiccup in this order was that while the sandwich had a wonderful abundance of bacon... I mean a load!... Somehow they not only left off the onion but also was no tomato! It ended up being a bacon, lettuce and mayo sandwich on a bun. So back to the counter to ask them for several slices of tomato. (Apology accepted.) My order was for a Philly-style cheesesteak with Cooper cheese. It came very hot, juicy, and quite yummy. In fact, it was too big for me to finish. So once again, the general generosity with fillings and toppings was top-notch. Prices were very reasonable and I would encourage you to go and try it. If in the area, we likely will come back as well. As a side note, my wife worked as a server at this restaurant 68 years ago when she was a teenager! Different name back then for both the restaurant and for her. Fond memories.

Then she said, "you know who does great tuna salad? It's a diner over in Columbia!" But she couldn't remember right there what it was called. I googled diners in Columbia and I read back to her she shouted , "Black Olive"!!!! I'm here with two friends but didn't order tuna as it's breakfast and so I ordered eggs Benedict with turkey sausage instead of the Canadian bacon, and lemon on the side since I love my hollandaise sauce tangy. I get my order but not as I requested. Canadian bacon is in there and turkey sausage on a side plate. The hollandaise sauce looks like melted cheddar and no lemon on the side. Worst of all I cut into the poached eggs and they're too hard. Well I was just too disappointed in their skill level to ask them to redo. Our amazing waitress was trying to talk me into ordering something else if I didn't want a redo. She had a manager come by and I told him what I ordered and how I got it. It was ok I didn't want to trouble anyone. He insisted they'd get it right so I gave in. A few minutes later he presents me with jiggly poached eggs on top of turkey sausage and wedges of lemon. I will say I was impressed the second time around, though the hollandaise sauce needs work! Here's a quick blender recipe Ingredients: 3 egg yolks, 1 tbsp lemon juice, pinch salt, 1/2 cup hot melted butter. No need to make it from powder. You "can" taste the difference! Over all very happy with the cleanliness, service, attention and will be back mid March for that tuna sandwich. Mmm can't wait!

Food: I got the Olive burger platter. Burger (bacon, cheese, LTO, house sauce served with coleslaw, large portion of fries and a cup of soup). Everything was good (sides and burger bun/ toppings). Unfortunately where it disappointed was the burger itself. Although it was angus ....the preformed patty with dried up edges , vaguely freezer burned taste and ordered medium was served very well done. So unfortunately the star of the show itself... the burger... is not recommended.

Their pizza has a good crust -- thin enough to fold and eat, but with a good flavor as well. (Sicilian style also is available if you prefer a thicker crust.) Like all good pizza, you don't need to hide this under a pile of toppings. Just the pizza, maybe just add pepporoni or mushrooms or whatever your favorite is. When I was new to Marietta, I tried all the local places and Marco's is #1 for pizza, and also #1 for having a full menu. Marco's also has a meatball sub that would make your Italian grandma blush. Order it with a layer of mozzerella on top and it comes out all toasted and crispy and tasting like childhood in NYC. The menu has other Italian staples like pasta and garlic bread, but it doesn't stop there. If you want some turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy, Marco's has it. Or for lunch, go for the burger special. It's all good, and served with a smile every time!
