Two young women eventually assisted me, and I showed them a reference image for the tattoo I wanted. They explained that the owner, who is also a tattoo artist, was working with a client. I gave them my phone so they could show the owner the image, and he provided a quote through them. When I asked basic follow up questions about the artwork, neither employee could answer them. The owner then stated that Americana Tattoo Co. was not technically open. As the owner, he should take responsibility instead of using that as an excuse. The door was open, I was allowed inside, and there was no clear communication indicating that the shop was closed. If Americana Tattoo Co. does not want customers entering before its official opening time, the door should remain locked and the hours should be clearly displayed. Anyone placed at the front should also understand the services, pricing, and basic artistic process or know how to connect customers with someone who does. This is an ownership and staff training issue that Americana Tattoo Co. can correct. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and creates a more professional, knowledgeable, and welcoming experience for future clients.
