Well the Boca Black box, a small and intimate venue on Glades Road in Boca Raton is a hidden gem to say the least. The Black Box hosts some of the greatest country, 60's, 70's and 80's cover bands! Many are national acts that find their way to this wonderful little venue and light the place up. The owner, Randy is warm and inviting. I believe he did some standup comedy in his younger days, as he does a few minutes of comedy in the stage before each show. The venue seats only about 280 people. There is regular auditorium type seating and my favorite, personal tables along the perimeter that seat up to 8 people each. The ticket prices are very good and well worth it! The service is excellent and you are never left without a cocktail before and during the show. The waitresses are always walking around checking on everyone. They are friendly and friendly warm. Randy must be doing something right as I have been going to shows there for 3 years and the wait staff never changes. I know most of them personally now and always receive a warm welcome. There is noIt much in the way of food there, so enjoy a nice dinner before or after the show at one of the many restaurants located right near the venue. Give it a try! Relive your youth with some of the greatest cover bands in the USA. Party safely and enjoy life!

By the middle of the 20th century, mariachi music had made its way into US culture, first in California, then throughout the southwest, and eventually throughout the nation. Mariachi has now become one of the most recognizable Latin music types. Carrying the Mariachi torch in South Florida is the Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo. This musical group can be hired to perform at your private events including birthdays, weddings, and other celebrations. I was able to watch them perform at a friends milestone birthday celebration. The singers had great harmony and they can sing in both Spanish and English. They offer 30 and 50 minute performances. This group was very professional and their music and vocals was enjoyed by everyone at the party. Mariachi Show Mexicanisimo is a beautiful representation of Mexican culture.

My friend''s daughter, Dana was in the show as she is a comedianne. There were other comediennes in the show and I enjoyed the evening. You can bet general admission as there isn't a bad seat in the house! They do sell wine and beer ahead of the show! You can also enter a drawing to win tickets to another show! Support local!

We saw a few people leave because this one lady saved so many seats. We told the manager then they asked US to move to accommodate someone's else and then made a joke that "yeah you got to sit by people here" no joke lady. Also not a lot of leg room but you could purchase seats on the stage if you buy them early enough and you don't mind being ragged by the comic. They have drinks and it's not required that you have a minimum number. The entertainment was 4.5 stars. I like that they raise money for charity.

We got our tickets online, so we just showed our QR code at the entrance of the auditorium and got seated. It's a large size theater venue with great acoustics and comfortable seating. We parked for free in Parking Garage 2, which is only a block away.

(not for kids under 13) The teams always perform with their intellect, a true pleasure and very appreciated in this day and age. I read "World Performance Arts Center" and thought it seemed a bit presumptuous for what I figured would be a small college theater. It is actually "Wold" in honor of the major donors haha, my bad. The theater is not small at 750 seats. The venue still looks new inside and out, and it is almost 20 years old. The lobby is amazingly airy and spacious with a reception area and stunning contemporary chandeliers. The theater itself is modern, with warm woods and bathed in red...red curtains and seats. It is a beautiful performance arrangement with good sightlines and excellent acoustics, with fine sound system (based on the mics the actors wore, I could hear almost every word). No wonder it was selected for the final televised 2012 US Presidential Debate between Obama and Romney. Rest rooms are huge and clean. One minor note is the box office can be slow to purchase tickets and there could be wait. In this day and age, when purchasing with a credit card, why do they need to manually type in billing address, etc.? Update the system so the ticket buyer only has to insert the card and be on their way.
