OH MY GOD! I got THE BEST massage of my life (49 years old) at A Kneaded Vacation last night. I had…read morea 90-minute massage by Cheri. The space is warm and cozy--very welcome last night as it was 25 degrees outside. My shoulders were up to my ears, I had numbness down my right arm and right leg. I felt as if I were being stabbed in the neck. Before she even started, Cheri gave me desk exercises to do so I didn't have this problem again. She explained how she was going to massage me as a whole person, not just knotted muscles. I honestly yessed her, to just get started I was in so much pain. Within 15 minutes I could feel my body start to relax. She didn't even touch the bad parts--well not where typical massuses go. She hit various points simultaneously, and I am going to sound redundant, but I kept feeling parts of my body get out of spasm and relax. I am taller and straighter. I don't have any numbness or pain. I slept for the entire night. I didn't move from where my head hit the pillow. This NEVER happens. The class schedule at Blue Moon is bigger, with more offerings than other studios, both in terms of the number and the types of classes they offer. New students be aware - they offer a special of 4 classes for $40, quite a deal for the area! Other class packages are also relatively reasonably priced, and the owner and staff are extremely friendly and eager to work with whatever your special request is. The studio itself is a bit on the smaller side, with curtained windows on two sides. So, no mirror, if you're looking for that. But if you'd rather avoid a mirror while practicing, or find that a mirror interferes with balance in some poses - this is perfect! Both times I've been so far the classes have been at max or close to max capacity - I wonder if this means they may outgrow this space? Hmmm.

I never had any prior reiki experience so I went on google to find someone and after looking at a few offerings, I was completely drawn to Beth -- it was true kismet! I felt so welcome upon meeting her like we had met before in a past life. I never had met someone who I felt like understood me and *heard* my soul so instantly. The reiki experience and the amazing sound bowl experience combined was very calming, healing, and something I felt my soul and body needed on a cellular level. But not only that, her words of wisdom and tools she gave me to work on and overcome my depression and anxiety which in turn help with my heart (and heart chakra), were just as powerful as the actual reiki session.
