Unfortunately, the salmon was extremely overcooked ...honestly burnt and barely edible. Since the movie had already started, there wasn't really an easy way to complain or get it corrected, which is probably my biggest issue with doing dinner service at the movies. I ended up sitting there with the untouched salmon on my plate the entire movie. That said, the theater itself is super comfortable. The seats recline, they're heated, and that alone makes this one of my favorite theaters for comfort. I'd definitely come back for the movie experience just probably won't do the dinner service. It's too expensive not to be good.

The cleanliness was really disappointing. The family restroom had paper towels stuffed in the toilet and urine all over the floor in front of it. The women's restroom wasn't much better, with urine on the floor and an overall lack of cleanliness. My husband said the men's restroom was in rough shape too. The issues didn't stop there. The popcorn was burnt, and the cup holders in the marquee seating were missing the inserts, so our drink cups wouldn't even fit properly. When I'm paying around $40 for tickets, I expect a much better experience. Honestly, after seeing the condition of the restrooms, I'm glad we didn't order dinner because it made me question what the kitchen looks like based on the bathroom condition. Really disappointing experience, and unfortunately we won't be coming back anytime soon.

I only had a coffee in an attempt to meet my two drink minimum but it of course was diner-esque coffee. Nothing special so I didn't have another and we were full from dinner so didn't purchase anything else. $3 for each "two item minimum" was added to the tab (it's two item min per person so $6 charge if you bought nothin). I don't mind that because the venue and staff gotta get their bread. I think that's fair especially for the price of the tickets (affordable). Would definitely come back it's just far from me!

The ambiance is interesting ~it's definitely an old building and it looks like they're trying to capture that. It did have a sewer smell throughout the whole night which I'm not sure if that's an old building thing or what. On to the show- it was great! We really enjoyed it! The tables are pretty close together so we scooted ours to get a little more room- expect to not have much wiggle room while seated. All in all a nice place to catch a comedy gig!

I've seen Cinderella, Little Shop of Horrors and most recently Peter Pan. What a great experience! They spend quite a lot of money on the staging and costumes. Always a very impressive performance. The sound system is excellent and the seating is graduated so the back row is still a great place to sit. Never had a bad seat in the house. The serve 'complimentary' wine and beer before the play and during intermission (please tip to be respectful!). They sell $1 concessions beforehand and during intermission as well. This is a great place to take your family or even go on a date. Main stage tickets are $22 for adults. If you don't mind heading to Lakeland for a show, it is well worth it. On a side note, most restaurants and bars close at 11pm. Check out Texas Cattle Company next door for drinks and/or food!

The "Detective" show portion of the evening was three acts and it was incredibly cheesy. I was not very entertained but I'm sure others were as it just was not really my thing. Being so close to the stage from our seats front and center allowed for this pure engagement as Izzard performed all 23 roles of Hamlet. The Jaeb Theater at the Straz has high ceilings in the lobby but it's fairly tight once it's full with people waiting to enter the theater. There is a corner reserved for refreshments and eats, with a limited spirit selection, beer, wine, and other non alcoholic products. Their cookies were wicked tasty with the white chocolate and macadamia nuts. The other side has two restrooms that fill up during intermission but there were ample stalls. The staff were friendly and ensured we made it to our seats, which were front and center. The experience was magical.
