The food options on Happy Hour menu were very good, particularly the Quesadilla and Prime Rib sliders. My wife loved the arancini balls as well and shrimp tempura was solid. From a drinks perspective my wife tried the sangria flight and it was a great option with 4 different types of sangria with more hits than misses. Happy Hour overall was a great option but wish it went until 6 (ends at 5:30, which is a bit early). We will definitely be back. read more

Came here again 2 years later but this time for a lunch. Made a reservation a day before. Place as always looks gorgeous inside and outside, plenty of parking during lunch time. Service was acceptable though, not great. Lady kept forgetting things for us. My friend wanted so coffee with non dairy milk and waitress didn't even know if they offer it, she had to go ask and said they do not. When we asked for tiramisu , she said we are likely out because we were out yesterday. But then she went to check and they indeed had it. How come she doesn't know what is on a menu. I had a grouper sandwich that was pretty good and side salad was pretty good. I asked for olive oil and vinegar and waitress again said she doesn't know if that possible. Which is the weirdest response. I didn't ask for anything unique. She then said they will do it and proceeded to bring me something different. Extremely disappointing food and service experience on our anniversary dinner at Coopers Hawk in Wesley Chapel. My wife and I were looking forward to our 1st dining experience at Coopers Hawk for our 31st anniversary. Unfortunately both the food and service were extremely disappointing. My wife ordered the filet mignon: 8 oz. Filet, Steak Butter, Crispy Onion Strings, Grilled Broccoli, Choice of Side 46.99 and I ordered Ellie's chicken piccata Lemon Butter Caper Sauce, Capellini Pasta 26.99 We both ordered glasses of wine with the meal - my wife ordered a red wine and I ordered the white wine they recommended to pair with the chicken piccata Neither wine came before our meal. When our meal was brought, there was still no wine yet. The server who brought our meals to the table asked if there was anything else we needed and I said-yes-the wine we ordered to come with our meal. 15 minutes later after after meals were brought--still no wine This is unacceptable at any restaurant-but for an establishment such as Coopers Hawk that centers everything around their wines this is ridiculous. When the wine was finally brought over 15 minutes later after our meals were brought they actually still forgot to bring my wife her wine and only brought mine. I told the server that it was too late and we did not need it anymore. The server clearly saw when she brought the wine that we were well finished with our meals already but did not offer any apology up-front and only after I said that "its too late" did she offer to take the wine off the bill. She did offer that she could still bring my wife's wine out and still take it off the bill and also offered to let me keep my wine and also take it off the bill but the damage had already been done at that point as it was over 15 minutes since we received our meals Now onto the food itself-very disappointing. Although my wife's steak was cooked perfectly as far as the inside of the steak-the steak itself had little to no seasoning and had no char on the outside. Outside of those 2 things - the quality of the meat itself was also disappointing. To give you an idea - the quality of the filet itself was less than the filet you would get at a Longhorn's steak restaurant which charges about 29.00 compared to $46.99 here - so you would expect at the very least it would at least be equal (or should be better) quality beef than Longhorns but unfortunately it was worse. The Chicken Picatta on the menu clearly says "Lemon Butter Caper Sauce" there were plenty of capers on the plate but outside of 2 lemons wedges on the plate for show there was absolutely no lemon flavor whatsoever in the dish. The chicken was cooked very well and was juicy but there was virtually no seasoning on the chicken at all and there was zero (0) lemon flavor. So again extremely disappointing. The restaurant is upscale and very nice looking and has a vibrant social atmosphere but when the service is bad, the wine doesn't come with the meal (and that is the theme of the restaurant-the wine), and the food is this disappointing it all adds up to a very bad experience which unfortunately also occurred on our special occasion-our wedding anniversary read more

I usually go to the Tampa location, but I happened to be in Wesley Chapel and decided to stop by. In my opinion, the Wesley Chapel location is even better because it feels much more spacious and welcoming. I ordered the steak medium and it was perfectly cooked. It tasted great. My mom ordered the risotto and she really enjoyed it as well. The service was friendly. I also did a wine tasting with Vanessa, and she was the best. Friday afternoons at Cooper's Hawk could be my new go to activity on a Friday. Easily one of my favorite chain restaurants along with Yard House. This was my first time to the Wesley Chapel location and it's super similar to other Cooper's Hawks. Whenever I come, I always get the $17.99 brussels sprouts without even looking at the menu. This one always has an odd smell...almost like a dirty rag is used to clean the tables..? But aside from the smell, I have no complaints about this location. First time going to Cooper's Hawk. We went on Saturday for Brunch. My husband made a reservation for 12:30pm and we did the wine tasting before hand. We were told the wine tasting would take about an hr or more so we arrived at 11:00am. It was very busy. However, it didn't have a "rush" feeling. We didn't have to wait long going through each wine pour. The wine was great. We aren't even into drinking wine like that. It was a fun experience. When we were done with our tasting, we got seated right away. Our server was extremely kind. The food was beautiful and delicious. It is a nice establishment. I was surprised how casual people were dressed. You don't have to dress fancy but the place isn't Denny's. We plan on going again. It was a great experience. Sometimes you have to have patience if you want to do a wine tasting, and be cautious because not many patrons are courteous enough to care who has been waiting the longest for a spot at the tasting counter. I visited this location for the first time last night and my friend and I had a very positive experience. Personally, I feel like this location's wine tasting area is much more comfortable than the South Tampa location. There are more spots at the counter for tastings and the waiting area is not nearly as crowded as the south Tampa one. I cannot remember what my friend ordered but I had the Country Rigatoni and finished the entire plate. The ambiance and vibe were lively and appropriate for a low-key evening with friends and family. The soy ginger salmon may look simple, but it's packed with flavor and very satisfying. Every risotto I've tried has been rich, filling, and delicious. Oh, how fun! I hadn't planned this visit at all. I wasn't even supposed to be in Wesley Chapel on this "uh oh, it's getting hot too fast" Florida Friday in April. But just before I was supposed to turn right to go home, I turned left and went here-and I'm so glad I did! This Cooper's Hawk location is just east of Wiregrass Mall. It's less hectic in that immediate area-for now, anyway. CH has a big parking lot-and while I've heard it's jammed on weekend nights, there was no problem on a Friday afternoon at 1:45. (though it was buzzy and bustling then, too). This is a pretty and modern restaurant-lots of grays and whites with some succulents and brushed gold finishing. It's a totally different feel than the "woods in a leafy setting" of the original Tampa location (which I love), near International Mall. Different vibes, but each is appealing-and the gorgeous menu, is the same. You enter into the wine tasting room, complete with so many bottles for sale and fun merch. (I'll be back soon to do some early Christmas shopping) I got a table right away, so didn't have long to look-but there's a bottle I have my eye on, for next time. The layout at this location works well. I was seated in the large dining room, in a cozy corner with a good view. The complimentary bread and whipped butter came out right away. This might be the first time I've tried it, since my friends usually get it all down while I'm still studying the menu. It's good! (And I tend to love anything served on a board). Then it was on to apps. I really wasn't hungry enough for one-but how can you not order their Brussels sprouts! Oh, those cashews! I'm not an aioli person at all-but I actually like it on these! So good -and a huge portion! I couldn't finish it, of course, but am still so glad I ordered it. For my main, I went with my usual-Ellie's piccata chicken. I got the lunch portion-which is great plenty: two chicken breasts, atop a bed of lemon-sauced capellini pasta, with long asparagus spears on the side and topped with capers. IMHO, you just can't go wrong with this dish. I'm smiling, just thinking about it. It's so spring-forward and fresh-but yummy all year long. And the lunch special is a nice option if you're saving calories/money. On this visit I had an unoaked Chardonnay and the pear drop martini. I'd definitely have them both again. And I had a very warm and kind server-who knew exactly when to come check on me. She recommended I try Dana's chicken next time. It looks good, too. We started with a wine tasting in the tasting room, which is always wonderful. Our bartender was quite personable and attentive, making sure we moved along each of our tastings. We sat at the bar for dinner, the potstickers and egg rolls are our go to apps. The sauces are what elevate these two so well. The sweet soy glaze on the potstickers and the salsa verde on the egg rolls are to die for! My wife and I split a filet medallions meal, and much to our pleasant surprise they came out on two places already split. Extremely disappointed with the experience at Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant on Thursday, May 14. What was supposed to be a birthday celebration among friends turned into an embarrassing and humiliating experience because of awful customer service and an incredibly disrespectful manager. Our party of five included two wine club members, and I have personally been a loyal member and ambassador since before the Wesley Chapel location even opened. I live nearby and visit almost every week, which makes this experience even more upsetting. The manager incorrectly stated that we had already done a full wine tasting before dinner, which was completely false. We only had a small 2-ounce taste of one wine before being seated -- not an entire tasting. During our 2 1/2-hour dinner celebration, everyone at the table ordered different wines based on personal preference, including a bottle of red, rosé, and Prosecco. We understand the policy and know unfinished bottles can be corked and taken home. Later in the evening, one friend wanted another bottle of Prosecco, while another accidentally ordered an additional red wine that we immediately canceled once we realized we did not need it. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager came to our table and announced that "no more wine would be served to the table." It was humiliating, unnecessary, and completely inappropriate. At no point was anyone intoxicated, disruptive, or disrespectful. We are all adults over 50 years old simply celebrating a birthday dinner responsibly. To make matters worse, our table was repeatedly neglected throughout the evening to the point that one of my friends had to get up and personally ask the manager for water. I later approached the manager privately and explained that his behavior toward our table felt rude and disrespectful. Instead of acknowledging our concerns or trying to improve the situation, he denied being disrespectful altogether. By that point, the entire evening had already been ruined. After years of loyalty to this restaurant and wine club, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism, hospitality, and basic respect. Cooper's Hawk is one of my favorite places in the Wesley Chapel area and the perfect place for me and a few of my friends who gathered for an event planning meeting during happy hour. We sat out on the patio which was a relaxing atmosphere, and thanks to a savvy friend who arrived early, we were able to secure a spot for four. She is also a wine member so she ensured we had a few open and aerated wine bottles ready and available, setting the tone for a fun afternoon. There were four of us and it was early - 4:40 pm. We decided to only have wine and appetizers and started with the Crispy Tempura Shrimp on the happy hour menu, which was a hit with its Asian Slaw and Sesame Chili Crunch. We also ordered Thai Lettuce Wraps, though delicious with their Sweet Chili-Crisp Glazed Chicken and vibrant slaw, proved a bit challenging to handle due to the small lettuce leaves. It was a large plate that we didn't finish. My all-time favorite is the Crispy Brussels Sprouts and did not disappoint - it was a standout, with a blend of cashews, mint, cilantro, and a hint of Sweet Thai Chili, all complemented by the Sesame-Sriracha Aioli. Finally, the Chicken Potstickers, paired with Sweet and Spicy Mustard and Ginger Soy Sauce, rounded out our appetizer selection. Paired with the wine, which was a couple bottles of the Ninety Nine Oaks, a new wine club exclusive, it was an excellent balance of flavors. After our happy hour of appetizers and wine, we decided to do some wine tasting. The wine tasting area, usually bustling and packed, was surprisingly accessible and we quickly found an open spot at the bar to enjoy a variety of reds, whites and sparking wine. Our sommelier was attentive and accommodating, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that gave us a little background on each of The wines. He seemed very knowledgeable especially given the fact he was so young compared to me and my friends. We gave him a great tip since he was able to help us select some wines for my friend to take home who is part of the wine club Overall, Cooper's Hawk was a memorable experience with its inviting ambience, attentive service, and delicious selection of appetizers and wine. Our first time here the other night. We came later in the evening before closing, but that didn't matter. They treated us just the same as the first seating of the day. Our service was top notch. She had great knowledge of the food and wine and was able to suggest great recommendations for us. The menu does a great job of pairing a wine with each menu item. We ordered the egg rolls.. yum! Star of the show.. and the Asian lettuce wraps for app. The flavor and veggie pairings was nice, however the lettuce they provided was not large enough to make a taco that you could hold to eat, and it tore easily. Bummer. For dinner I ordered the pistachio grouper, sounds delightful, but I was really dissatisfied because it came drown in butter. Gut bomb. My belief on chains restaurants are they are only good with the first restaurant after that it's all hill down. Our reservation was for 8:30 which was great for closing time is 10pm. My wife had the filet mignon medallions, I can say she enjoyed the medallions. But the mashed potatoes was a no go very salty. Our appetizers were a lobster bisque with (no lobster) nothing spectacular the taste was so so. I will say the Candied Bacon & Artisan Cheese plate was an amazing appetizer. I had the pistachio crusted grouper which was nothing impressive just a chef trying new things with healthy ingredients. The mary potatoes were so salty that I send it back. It's sad when a new establishment opens in your city only to do what the rest of the chain restaurants do (nothing to stand out). When the love leaves the kitchen management is to blame. Coming today to this restaurant with my family to celebrate was a great choice. It's hard to describe my feelings for this restaurant as several weird things happened in this restaurant by members of this staff. My extended family and I dined together (total of 17 people). To start off, my parents and I arrived for our reservation at 2:30pm. The kind and incredibly helpful Jasmine was a great hostess and very friendly. She was great at communicating with us and made us feel welcomed. Our table was not ready which was okay as the rest of our party (14 more people) did not arrive yet. I really want to highlight two people who made our service great. Jasmine was one of them. At the hostess stand, Sophia who looked like a manager was actually incredibly unpleasant towards Jasmine in front of us. That made the rest of us here feel disgusted. We watched her speak to Jasmine badly and dictating little things like where she was allowed to throw trash in an unfriendly manner. Not everyone gets along but for her to be openly hostile as she was in front of guests, makes me wonder how she acts when there are no guests. We were not seated until 3pm which defeats the purpose of a reservation if we were to wait 30 minutes. Another hostess, as Jasmine was helping us, takes over and tells us that our table is not ready and to wait 10 more minutes. Jasmine then tells it was but the same hostess that took over does it again. She grabs the menus and takes them from Jasmine and directs us to the table. Then half way with my elderly grandmother tells us actually we need to go back because the table is not ready. The table was ready. They were putting the silverware. We had to tell her to stop the back and forth and the server who was helping set up the table also ushered her to bring us in. I'm not sure where the miscommunication or confusion came on her end but it was a bit frustrating. After we sat down, a woman who repeatedly told us she was not our server but only helping our server Brandon grab water for us. Which she did and she also helped grab bread. Remember this is a 17 person table. This is important. They gave us eight breads to spread amongst us (these are small pretzel circle breads). So we cut it up to make it possible to share. The bread is delicious and so is the salted butter it comes with and I don't usually go for bread and butter. I usually will eat just the bread. One of my aunts asked for more bread as it was quickly devoured. We were hungry and it was good. The woman loudly laughs and goes "Oh wow, More bread!" And then laughs again. I didn't hear my aunt ask for more bread but I heard the server who was not our server below her response. The whole table did as we all stopped our individual conversations and whipped our heads to the server. It came off so rude that we all were shocked. This was now dubbed as breadgate and the great bread shaming of 2025 within the cousins. Our server, Brandon, was great. He is the second person I want to highlight. He and Jasmine are the only two people with good customer service skills and genuine pleasantries that my table interacted with. That female server I mentioned earlier actually came a few times to check on us before Brandon came in. A few of us were ready to order for the young kids at the table, her response was, "Okay. I am NOT your server. Brandon is. I am only getting you water," my uncle apologized to her and I guess she realized how rude it sounded and then said she would pass the message along to Brandon. She didn't pass it. She admitted it because Brandon took the whole table's order long after my uncle ordered with Brandon for his kids. She comes as we are finishing our orders and goes "oh you told Brandon your order? Good!" And then laughs as she walks away. Nothing wrong with laughing but you could tell alongside Sophia (my guess a front end manager) that they both had lost her pleasantness and replaced with obvious dislike and a smile. It's not the end of the world if both of these people didn't outwardly display rude behavior either to us or their coworkers. They did. I take offense to someone being rude to their colleague in front of a customer. Especially when the colleague did nothing and stays pleasant to you despite you being openly rude. The bread thing was just as funny as it was rude. But the Sophie and Jasmine situation, that really rubbed me the wrong way. Our food was actually all good. My cousin and I ordered the same dish which was a baked shrimp scampi. The actual scampi was okay but the SHRIMP that was delicious. My cousin and I both got our dishes cold which we think was because the food was done first and they were bring it out slowly. We didn't complain because it wasn't a deal breaker for us. However, the real star of the meal (as we all shared dishes) was the Dana's Parmesan crusted chicken and the chicken piccata. Those were unbelievable. read more

We were not in the mood to cook on Friday evening, and Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant had been on our list for a long time, so we decided to order takeout for dinner. After browsing their menu online and discussing recommendations with the server over the phone, we settled on an array of appetizers and a main dish: Drunken Shrimp, Chicken Potstickers, Egg Rolls, and Chicken Risotto. The ordering process was smooth, and within about 20 minutes, I headed to the winery to pick up our dinner. Upon entering, I was immediately impressed by the beautiful décor of the winery. The space exudes a warm, welcoming atmosphere with a sophisticated touch, and you could sense the excitement from the guests tasting different wines. It's clear that this is a popular spot for wine lovers, and I'd recommend making a reservation if you plan to dine in, as the wait time looked like it could be long without one. Once I collected our food, I headed home to enjoy the meal. We started with the Drunken Shrimp, which was easily the standout of the night. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful, with a delightful combination of avocado and sauce that elevated the dish. It was a great balance of textures and flavors, and we savored every bite. This was by far our favorite dish of the evening. Next, we tried the Chicken Potstickers and Egg Rolls, both of which were just as delicious. The potstickers had a nice, crisp exterior while remaining juicy inside, and the egg rolls were packed with flavor, making them the perfect appetizers to complement the meal. Both dishes contributed to a satisfying and tasty dinner. Unfortunately, the Chicken Risotto didn't meet our expectations. It was the one disappointing dish of the night. The risotto lacked the creamy consistency we were hoping for, and it resembled more of a fried rice than the traditional risotto. The flavors were underwhelming, and it didn't quite match the quality of the other dishes. Overall, I would highly recommend Cooper's Hawk for their exceptional appetizers and their vibrant atmosphere. The winery itself offers an enticing experience, and I can see why it's such a popular spot for wine tastings. While the Chicken Risotto didn't impress us, the appetizers more than made up for it. We're looking forward to returning, especially to enjoy their wine selection and the delicious starters that make the perfect pairing for a relaxed evening. read more

Wow- firstly, they are insanely busy- I thought my location close to home was busy- haha. They had a 2 hour wait OR you could sit on the patio in 90 degree heat. Patio it was- we were meeting friends and they didn't get a reservation. Second- they don't offer the sangria flight! Wait, what??? No! It's my go to, my favorite, it's off menu. And apparently off menu, because it's done by select locations (Jax, I love you). John and I used our monthly bottles to treat our friends and John ordered a Lux Sangria glass for me to try. Everyone enjoyed their food, service was very good. It briefly rained and I was getting rained on- by the time I moved.... it stopped raining. ugh. Our friends ordered the cheese plate as a starter to share and I will say- I may have to start getting that, it was delightful! I think my other peeve was that the table was not big enough for the five of us- which is why I got rained on. I had to squeeze at the end of a 4 top. I wish they had arranged the tables to fully seat all of us comfortably, especially since the patio wasn't busy. read more
