He was serving the people around us but never came to us, drinks were smaller than expected when we finally got to us. Server was very rude during the entire process. So this was my second visit and at first sight this place looks awesome. It's a pretty big place and has the feel of an upscale bar. There's lots of tvs and the scenery is nice as well. Naturally, there are kinks to work out. So the first night was chill and we ordered a mixer ie rum n coke. It was ok, not a heavy pour at all but that's to b expected. My issue, however, was when i ordered an extra shot it was not brought to my table as an extra shot, instead they told me it was already added from the bar. That a big NO NO. if i order an extra shot it needs to b separate so i can see i got an extra shot. Naturally, it didn't taste any stronger therefore i felt like i was cheated. They did correct the situation and brought me a separate shot. My second visit we ordered the brisket queso and it was mixed. The brisket had a nice flavor but it didn't fill the bowl and left me thinking it shoulda been more. That and the cheese glued up rather quick. It was tasty I'd say 7/10. Finally we ordered the triple B burger and the meat was somewhat over cooked all in all it was pretty good. read more

This place is not clear with their menu. There was bacon in my Brussels sprouts and when I've ordered it before, there was no bacon. The management was very lax about my complaint and I've been vegan for 2 years and I haven't had pork in 4 years. This place started great but has slid downhill as crowds have increased. Ordered guacamole today had zero taste. I saw other people order and leave it un-eaten as well. They ran out of glassware at end of 1st quarter of cowboys game. They ran out of hand soap in both bathrooms at end of first quarter as well. As of 4th quarter; glassware is back in stock but no soap. This is a huge place you need to be more prepared. I paid a visit to Sidecar for the first time a few weeks ago on a Friday night and I was very disappointed in the fact that only a few of their employees had masks on. Some were even wearing it incorrectly with their nose exposed, which completely defeats the purpose of wearing a mask. I, myself had a mask and I feel like if they are going to open to the public, proper precautions need to be taken in order to protect their customers and to prevent further spread of covid 19. At the time when I went, restaurants and bars had just opened back up and Sidecar didn't seem to be abiding by the 25% capacity mandate. A large crowd of people were gathered at the bar, and some sections of the restaurant. The only area that even remotely had some form of social distancing was the booth area. It is not a surprise that their employees were infected and tested positive for covid and the place had to shut down. I was extremely disappointed because I had heard great things about Sidecar. The two drinks and appetizers I had were great. Our server was also good. But unfortunately, even when or after they open up again, until they re-evaluate their protocol in response to covid 19, I will not be returning. read more

Went here over the weekend for a surprise birthday and OU/Baylor game. We had a party of about 50-60 people and the manager, hostess, and waiters were all so accommodating. Everyone was super nice and helpful (except for one waitress that rudely wanted us to condense our table usage... we did not). The place is really cool inside. So many games to play and TVs to watch. I got a Beyond Burger to eat. I was so happy to see a vegan option on the menu. Also, the bathroom were a topic of discussion the whole night. There was a band that started playing right when the game ended and holy Beyoncé, they were excellent. Will definitely return. I've eaten here twice and sat in the main restaurant area both times. The bar and outdoor patio seemed to be busy, but not inside, not at all and it was happy hour. The waitress was nice enough, but her service was extremely show and the food was luke warm at best on both visits. On the second visit, my fork was dirty and I had to ask twice for a clean one - the waitress never removed the dirty one from the table. Went for lunch here last week with coworkers. Bar area was busy! I can see how this venue would get slammed on nights and weekends. Cool Place! But .. Lunch is when to go! We had a waitress named Megan. She will super friendly, attentive and very informative about the new restaurant and what it has to offer. We had the Smoked Burnt End WonTon Nachos (could easily feed 4 people),the Charred Corn Guacamole (yum) and Ahi Tuna Nachos ( single nachos so you only get like 6-7 chips). Server was insanely rude. We sat ourselves and she told us that we needed to be seated by a host. We had a friend go talk to the host while we waited for drinks that we ordered at the bar. A couple minutes later she came back around and threw the "please see host" sign on the table and didn't acknowledge us. Our friend returned with a different hostess and she stated we were fine sitting there. She even had a map of the tables in her hand. That same server with black curly hair and bleach blond highlights came back again and yelled at us stating that she needed the table and we needed to move. Have read some reviews, some not so favorable regarding service and food but thought that I would arrive early before the crowd and with the intent to get to play their patio games that are listed on their web site. As planned, the attendance was slow, the service was on point and food was better than expected having read some not so good reviews. In looking around on the patio for the advertised games I found a ping pong table in an off to the side area, which was fine and found the 4 square game in a remote area almost a storage area. OK, so lets walk around in side. Finally found the corn hole game that was in a nice area off to the side by itself with no one around. Went to the hostess desk to request to play as the website stated and was told no we arent offering that. OK? I guess. Please update your website if you have changed the "game plan". I go to this location all the time with friends for drinks, but this last visit was horrible. Every single server in the bar area walked passed us and did not even stop to see if we were helped or if we needed help. When we stopped people to ask for assistance they rolled their eyes and never came back. The only person that tried to help was security. This is probably a fun and eclectic visit, I must admit I was exuberantly excited about coming. I sat at the bar and no one ever said a word, I never got acknowledged until after sitting there for almost 15mins. The ladies were all standing around not busy and unaware of their surroundings or waiting guest. I am going to try them again but the service was not great. Finally a server/lead (Kate) came over to recover the visit, she was very informative and sweet. I do not know anything about the food and no one could give us any ideas or suggestions of their favorite. A few tips to the manager: work on the customer service of your new trainee's, use the 12 point rule of serving, offer suggestions and learn your guest. A friend and I went to sidecar social on 6/5/21. We had the best time. This place is the gem of Addison. From the moment we walked in we were treated so well. Chris, our bartender, was not only very attentive and fast but had a great personality as well. He treats you like a friend not "just another customer". His drinks were perfect and my water glass was never empty. For fast and great service I highly highly recommend him. If you are looking for a fun unique place with crowd of all ages this is the place. Games, drinks, live music and great service this place has something for everyone. I honestly do not understand how this place is still open. I have been here three separate times and every single time the service has been nothing more than rude and aloof. Tonight I came in for dinner and when I requested a different table as I was being seated the hostess rolled her eyes at me. At least have the decency to roll them behind my back. Wish I could give 0 stars. HORRIBLE customer service! The server acted like it was a big deal when we called her over because we were OUT of drinks. Yea it doesn't end there.... we had people join us and the server NEVER came by to ask if they wanted anything. FINALLY we had to call her over ONCE AGAIN and ONCE again it was a big deal (eye rolls)... TO top it off at the beginning the server took 1 card to keep on file (most places do this but it gets better)... I paid my $19 check with $21 in CASH and I see the server pocket the money but I thought maybe I saw something wrong or thought maybe she is grabbing everyone else's cards so she doesn't want to lose the cash..... NOPE I was wrong.. they charged my friend my tab plus her tab so yeah the server POCKETED my $21 instead of doing what she was supposed to.. We call and tell the manager what happened and they said "it's not their problem to call our bank" .... okay if you want THIEVES to work for you THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM! We have come to Sidecar about 10 times since their opening, and typically have a fairly pleasant experience, but they are continually having issues with their service. It's such a great concept, and I want so much for this place to work, but after the lunch experience we just had there, I had to write a review in the hopes that management sees this and takes action! We had a good bye lunch for a co-worker today and brought in 14 people for lunch. We got there at 11:30 am thinking that it wouldn't be too busy yet, and we were correct as we were the only other table at the time. Everyone ordered our food, and the people who ordered hot food, received their food as expected. The 6 of us that ordered salads, waited over 15 mins before receiving our food, after the people who ordered hot dishes. Then 3 of them were wrong and had to be sent back 2 more times. It took so long for them to get their salads, that they asked for them to be packed up to go as we had to get back to work. Even after that, one of them were still incorrect! The waitress never once apologized for the delays or for the mishaps. I waited tables for years, and I certainly understand being busy and having kitchen issues, but the fact that we were basically the only ones in the entire place, this was absolutely ridiculous! As a bit of advice for your staff going forward, most people would be understanding about mishaps, but a simple apology would have gone a long way to get this terrible experience out of our minds! read more
