Cute diner, clean and decorated with Route 66 stuffs. We had the turkey avocado sprouts sandwich on ciabatta bread and house salad with applesauce. We needed breakfast on our long cross country trip. We were ginger to originally stop at Circa Espresso Bar based on yelp reviews bit they were closed even though Yelp said they were open. Worked out though. We stopped here and it was amazing. They even had really good kids meals. My son got the sirloin meal and loved it. Plus they had a full coffee selection to choose from. I got a hot latte. We are so glad we stopped here! And our server was super nice. read more

This restaurant is definitely looking the part of a movie set for the 1960s or so. It's pretty bland and terms of service and of choices and the food is a good solid 3 star. Nothing more. The Waitresses nice enough the costumes are looking good and the people are very pleasant here in Texas. Well I guess I expected a little more but when there aren't so many choices sometimes you just have to settle for what you get if you're traveling on beautiful Route 66 seeing all the rundown places and the places that are fixed up a little this will be one of those stops you'll just have to make in Tucumcari. My husband and I had breakfast here on our recent 66 excursion. While not the best breakfast I ever had, it certainly was very good. The pancakes were fluffy. The hash browns were crisp, but the bacon was thin and not much to it. The coffee was good, though. The place also had a great diner feel to it. Very Route 66. read more

Between the five of us we had a BLT, two New Mexico Burgers, and a triple decker bacon cheeseburger (11 year old boys are always hungry). The NMBurger was the best I've ever had and the green chilis were spicy and delicious. I couldn't get enough of the green chili's and now my sunburned lips are paying for it. From now on, we will stop here for breakfast or lunch. The service was great, the atmosphere was chill, and the diner (and restrooms) were clean. Kix is a great time! The decor is perfect for a Route 66 restaurant, but the place itself is beautiful., the stone work is amazing. They have an outdoor Petio/Patio and a "Pet Menu". The food is super yummy, always fresh. Great pancakes, amazing omelettes, but my always-fave is The Tucumcari Mountain Potatoes, Tucum style with bacon. this is also the best place to get a great caramel machiatto!! Kix on 66 will definitely knock your socks off. This place is a cute, retro diner to sit down and grab a meal if you're hungry on Route 66. The food is absolutely amazing and has an exquisite taste to it! I had the BEST vanilla milkshake I've ever had in my entire 20-year-old life. It was topped with whipped cream, a drizzle of caramel sauce, and some cute, classic rainbow sprinkles. Big shout-out to our waitress, Ryanne (I hope I spelled her name right). Jeez Louise this place is good! I was passing through on my way to Los Angeles with a friend and came across this gem of a restaurant. Breakfast and service was great! The only reason I can't give it 5 stars was because the hostess was very rude. Not personable at all. Just growls out your total when ringing you up and barks out instructions to sign your receipt. Probably should let someone a little more friendly do that job. On a road trip headed to Santa Fe, had to make some stops along Route 66. We were looking to stop at a diner and Kix on 66 was calling our name. Sat outside on the patio because we had a dog with us. The servers were very friendly and helpful. They let my friend charge her phone while we dined. Even though it was 10:30 in the morning I went with a Burger, Fries, and a Coke. I feel like this is an iconic Americana dish and what better place to enjoy it than on iconic Route 66! My food was enjoyable, and the breakfast ordered by my friend was also well received.
