Went there on a Saturday around 430pm. No wait time. They open at 4pm. Place started to fill up by the time we left. Waiter nice and friendly. Gave useful information about the dishes. We tried the feta and honey appetizer. It was very tasty. We were deciding between Brussels sprouts and fried okra. Tried the fried okra. It was crispy with mild spice and a lemon to add. Simple dish but nice option for starters. My wife ordered the grilled Branzino fish. Comes bones in. She liked it. I got the salsa verde half chicken which was nicely marinated juicy and the olives and lemon gave a nice strong taste. My daughter liked the enchiladas. Tired a side of sweet potatoes was also tasty with combination of mashed and roasted slices of sweet potatoes It would have been a five star review but lost a pony for two reasons: 1) My wife cup was not clean has lipstick smug 2) feta and honey was Served with 2 whole loaves of warm pita bread. This restaurant has left me wishing i lived in Chattanooga to come over every week for a different dish. What an amazing place, food and service. Loved the interior design, very modern but with a rustic touch. Brie was our server and she was incredible to my husband and I. I cant describe the amazingness of the food, every bite is an explosion of deliciousness. I didn't eat the entire menu (because it wouldn't fit, or else i would've), but i don't think you can go wrong with any of their menu items. We have been coming here since opening and have been pleased. Our visit last night was not in that category. Wines during happy hour are fair. Fried okra chips nice but could use a dipping sauce. Caesar Salad dressing had the consistency of paste and had really no flavor even with croutons so hard I was afraid I'd break a tooth. I had the liver terrine which was lovely. Especially with the mustardseed vinaigrette. Hoping chefs continue to escalate the menu! read more

Great place here for some really good food and drinks! We had a group of about 8 that came in for a nice Friday night dinner, our server might have read the room wrong thinking we were going to be a rowdy bunch and came on a little strong with stating she wouldn't be splitting bills or switch seats around. I hope to her surprise we were a very easy to please group and ended up having a great time. Food came out quickly and was perfect! My friends and I made reservations here last night and it was a wonderful evening! We were sat immediately and from start to finish we had a great time. The Pinky Pony, Mambo No. 5, and The Dude cocktails were some of our favorites. We got the whipped feta, Chicken Picatta, garlic mashed potatoes and Tres Leches cake, amongst other things. Those mentioned were my personal favorites! Our server was lovely and had a great attitude. She felt a little overzealous sometimes with her pitches but that's just a personal preference. This has been by far the best brunch I have probably ever had. I got the brioche French toast and it was divine. The mimosas are really great as well! You can get a single glass or an entire carafe of mimosas! The restaurant is such a great atmosphere inside and I will definitely be going back. read more

We had a great experience at Side Track. The atmosphere is casual, but stylish. There is bar that looks perfect for when you just show up with no reservations. We were a group of seven, so we had reserved a table. We started with appetizers, house made chicken liver pate that was served with a mustard sauce, crispy fried leeks, angry mussels that have a spicy tomato sauce that was perfect and rajas, that come with house made tortillas. The rajas were so good that we all commented that we would have been happy with just them for dinner. The main courses were equally delicious; the trout almandine, the wood grilled salmon, red curry chicken (maybe my favorite), red snapper, ground mignon, and the chicken piccata. Generous portions, but more importantly attention to detail in the food. The service was excellent, friendly and fast. Why am I just trying side kick?!? I highly recommend this spot for several reasons..... Atmosphere: the old goat and I stumbled in here right when they opened on a Saturday. We had been hiking all day and were not dressed to impress to say the least. Fantastic meal and service this week while I was in town from NYC visiting family. I ordered the crispy leeks, Tuesday special burger and sautéed mushrooms. The leeks were light and crunchy and arrived with a tangy, lemon mayo. Great appetizer if you want fried food without spoiling your appetite. The mushrooms were plated with my burger and the flavor was exactly what I expected based on the menu. And finally, the burger....that burger was absolutely perfect. Seasoned beautifully, cooked on a wood-fired grill and served on a brioche roll. I savored every bite and sipped on a Sangiovese along the way. Andy was our server for the meal and he was attentive, professional and well versed with the menu. Looking forward to another meal when I got back to TN later this year. Came here for the first time recently and was very impressed! I did not know they would have such tasty cocktails. Most of my friends and I got the Sure Thing which is like a margarita and it is excellent! My friends also got some other cocktails that looked really tasty and they confirmed this. I was also very impressed with the food. We ordered the handmade guacamole and Rajas dip to share between the table. For dinner I ordered the green curry chick with a side of potatoes. I also got the wedge salad; it has what I think were crispy leeks on top which were so good! All of us were very pleased with our food. Our server John was awesome!!! The only reason I didn't give this place five stars is I just feel like this place is more expensive than it should be for some dishes. For example the guacamole was maybe big enough for two people and it was $10. The Rajas dip was on special that night for $9 instead of $12; even though that was so good I can't imagine paying $12 for that. Everything is a la carte so the prices add up quickly. The cocktails are the normal Chattanooga range around $10-$12 a cocktail. Which I always feel is a little high but that seems to be the usual around here. read more

Went there on Thursday evening with a few of my Indian riders MC group. I use to live in Hixson so it was nice to see a more upscale Non Franchise restaurant. It has plenty of off street parking and a bar and plenty of seating. I had a burger, which was really good but a little pricey since they did not give you fries at 12+ dollars. They did not have draught beer (-1) but they did have craft beer in a can (Wiseacre) so (+.5). CAUTION: My friends ordered a bourbon drink on special of 10 dollars. They were offered a different brand of bourbon and they said sure. He failed to tell them it as an additional 7 dollars. After some discussion with the waiter, it was determined not only did they have to pay the extra 7 dollars, it was not even for the brand they ordered. The Manager came over and my friends explained their concern that they paid almost double for the "special" but they did not even get the brand they ordered. Instead of just resolving the issue, the Manager got into a tit for tat discussion and instead of trying to resolve the issue, he wanted to argue about it and justify why they had to pay the extra money. He explained it was so expensive because of the brand ordered but also all their drinks are "double" shots. First why would I want a double shot? Secondly, I am not a rocket scientist but instead of trying to justify the cost, and argue with the customer (even though the waiter did not tell them up front the cost was almost double the special rate), it would have made sense to credit their account in good faith. I give this place a 4 for quality of food and a 2 for customer service. read more

The fish to batter ratio was way off and it was very greasy. The bar was lacking service and selection. Bartenders refused to make a Long Island since it was too busy and they couldn't make an assortment of drinks because the don't carry peach schnapps. Humans are creatures of habit. I have been coming back to SideTrack over the years . I always have the "Wood Oven Roast WHOLE Branzino" when available. Since they were out of it today I changed to the "Pan Seared Wild Alaskan Halibut". They made it with thin crispy outer layer, sets in very favorable sweet corn purée sauce topped with freshly pair of fennel and parsley grown in the restaurant own garden. Good and bad... Food is tasty, but definitely overpriced, especially because when ordering a main entree, it's only that item, no sides (no fries, veggies, what have you). Cocktails are quality and food was tasty. Service at the table was mostly good but getting our cocktails and having order taken was longer than should be expected. We waited exceptionally long to even be acknowledged when we walked in even though there was nobody else waiting and four employees were at the front desk gossiping about boyfriends. One employee was on the phone and using the system, which prevented us from being seated even after we were acknowledged. Note that they will not let you sit in a booth if you request it if someone else who made a reservation indicated they wanted one. You have to request it in the notes section at the time of reservation, if you prefer that. I honestly believe that if I had mentioned I wanted a booth (or we leave), they would've turned us away instead of seating us at one of them even though only one of them were occupied. Crazy. They told us they were requested by people who made reservations that may or may not show up. We were seated in the part that has all of the windows off to the left. Brrrrrrr! Wore my three layers the entire meal while my nose ran and hands were frozen. Others in the room were wearing their outdoor jackets as well. With colder than normal weather, they need to adjust accordingly. We probably won't be back. There are too many other good places that don't have these issues we experienced (Frazier Five and Dime, for one). Anyway, there are definitely some operational issues here. read more

We had The Fried Chicken and the curry half chicken. It was very good. The Brussels sprouts were great as well as the garlic mashed potatoes. The service was great! The ambience was packed but cozy.
