Wonderful location in Sidney. All the employees were friendly with smiles on their faces. They are bicyclist friendly. They were very helpful with storing our bike boxes for several days before our check in. And when we couldn't find transportation to the airport, the staff actually arranged to take us. We love to stay here whenever we get the chance. The staff are helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the price is reasonable, the continental breakfast is pretty good, it's right in the middle of everything, and every room has a beautiful ocean view. Plus, Sidney has some great consignment shops, boutiques and restaurants. We don't live far away from Sidney and we make a point of staying here at least a couple times a year, as a mini getaway:) read more

A very strange experience. At first glance, it looks like a nice little inn near the waterfront. After a closer look, you realize you are right over the parking lot of a very popular restaurant and pub AND under the flight path of the Victoria International Airport. It was very loud indeed. The room itself looks like it needs a lot of work done. We had plenty of mold along the celing of the shower. There was a cleaning rag left behind in the shower from the staff. The beds were not comfy and we both woke up with back aches in the morning. The staff was very kind and informative of the restaurants in the area. The location next to the waterfront makes for nice relaxing walks at night. A mixed bag indeed. read more

We stayed here because it was close to the airport and we arrived there in the early evening. We were glad to find free parking at the hotel. Check-in took some time over some confusion about the rate we were quoted-it was in our favor though. Fortunately we were placed on the bottom floor so had no stairs to negotiate. The room was pretty basic and dated. The view of the water from the room was quite nice. There was a gas fireplace which we didn't need but a nice feature if you did need it. There were 2 robes in the closet, a small fridge and microwave. Wifi was free. The beds were comfortable. We had to leave prior to the breakfast (it starts at 6:30 am). It was pricey for what it was but the convenience and the view were nice. From the pictures I see, some rooms may have been updated. Ours was not. read more

Tonight we are in one of the inn's waterfront suites with a Jacuzzi big enough for 2. This is a really nice place to stay. Everything in the room is new, and the suite is spotless, with a king bed, gas fireplace, and spacious living area with sofa and desk. Our small balcony faced the mountains and ocean. We sat on the chairs in the evening watching the lights across the water and listening to the sounds of the waves. Overnight was very quiet. For the bath, the inn supplies his n her robes, a nice basket of bath products, and candles. The WiFi here is without doubt the best I've ever had in any Vancouver Island hotel (there's a router in EVERY room!). The 42 inch flat screen is equipped with lots of HD channels. Breakfast is served each morning complimentary for guests just around the corner from check-in. Parking is free and plentiful. Location: there are loads of pubs and restaurants within a 2 block walk. Out front is the ocean, and a gorgeous boardwalk-style walking path along the marinas and nearby waterfront condos. read more

Average hotel stay. Stayed here on a weekend and the location is great in Sidney. It's just off the pier, so some rooms have water views (ours has the parking lot view). Pros: - Free parking - Free Wi-fi - Free continental breakfast (cereal, breads, packaged apples, mini yogurts, juice boxes and coffee/tea) - Great location - walking distance to a lot of restaurants, shops and to the pier Cons: - Musty smell to rooms - Dated decor - Below average toiletries (bring your own lotion! I'd suggest your own shampoo/conditioner too if you're fussy) - Thin walls and lots of noise transmission between floors It's an okay place to stay. We flew into Victoria, BC very late at night and spent our first night at this Inn. They were very kind and efficient to make arrangements for us to check in at 1 am. They gave us a code to open their lobby door and had our room key with very good directions to get into our room. I give them: Five stars for helpful staff. Five stars for a really clean room. Four stars for furnishing in the room. Breakfast food and room is lacking. We would stay here again. read more

Treated myself and a couple girlfriends from Ontario to an overnighter in Sidney and they loved it . . . Located right downtown waterfront Sidney. Everything within walking distance - a pleasant walk downtown or along the waterfront. Lots of restaurants to choose from along the way. Good value for a 1970s layout standard room, clean and nicely updated that had a walk-out patio with waterfront view (ignoring the parking lot between). The wifi was free and fast, and interesting to see free phone calling including long distance across North America. A toast-cereal-yogurt, etc. self-serve continental breakfast is available in a room near the lobby, eat there or take back to your room. The only beef was noise transfer from the room above. We were woken up by a pair of noisy toddlers running and jumping around 7am-ish. It was so bad, I went to the front desk in my pyjamas to ask for help. They must have phoned up as the noise ceased thankfully. I would recommend getting a room on the second floor (or the Inn should know about this problem and have guests with kids stay on the ground floor). read more

We absolutely loved our two day stay - not fancy but our ocean view room with little patio served our needs perfectly! Walking distance from the ferry to Sidney harbor and restaurants- and Chris at the front desk was beyond amazing - we can't wait to stay again! After our experience with a Victoria B&B, this place is a breath of fresh air. Clean, good value...(Booked through Booking.com), predictable, friendly. No surprises. Stayed in the Harbour room in Cannery building. Very clean and spacious. Lovely ocean view. Quaint little patio for people watching and ocean viewing. Walking distance to food and shops in Sidney. Quick drive to ferry and Victoria isn't far either. Recommended for anyone seeking some quiet home-away-from home while traveling. Pet friendly, which is a bonus for us! WIFI included, and worked well. Our room had a little kitchen with sink,microwave, and fridge. Lovely over sized tub. Oh, if you do stay here, be sure to check out Roost (less than 10 mins drive away) for a meal. Huge portions for a good price and very tasty food. Highly recommend. Will stay again! read more

Nice room. Kind of antique-like. Great view of the coast. The stores around the area close pretty early, so the location isn't great for a night scene. The grocery store right across the hotel was very convenient. My sister found a tissue in one of the robes though..kind of gross. read more

Best place to stay for a honeymoon! We were treated like royalty. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The view while having coffee in the morning is something we will remember forever, just the most amazing view over the waterfront towards Mt.Baker, the sailboats floating by. We stayed 1day in this inn. We had heavy 2 suitcases. They didn't have elevator so I complained to the inn employee. She lifted on our 2 bags up the stairs. But the next day another employee didn't want to carry down our luggage. He only carried one luggage. It was tough carrying it without an elevator to go to the 2nd floor. Breakfast was not great. But employees was nice and honest. There are really nice. This Inn has the smallest TV we have ever seen. So we were disappointed. read more

I would highly discourage you from staying in this hotel. After an incident in the parking lot, the parking lot attendant refused to speak to us, then swore at us, while staff that overheard it were laughing while on their cigarette break. When asked to speak with the manager, we overheard her telling the front staff that she wasn't in the mood to deal with that. After we said we weren't leaving until she did, she came out, and said her staff wouldn't swear (so calling us liars). Then another manager came out and gave us a parking pass, just to hush us and make us go away. Not once anybody apologized for the fact that mother with a stroller had to run after the attendant, or that we were called liars, or refused to speak with. If this is how they deal with parking lot issues, I don't want to know how they deal with bigger issues in the hotel. Customer service skills are nonexistent in this hotel. read more
