This hotel is beautiful! It's on the water with spectacular views. The rooms are huge and decorated in warm oranges and cool gray, green and blues. There is a wonderful spa in the hotel. Two places to eat a liquor store across the street and is in walking distance to downtown and hiking paths. You can shop, relax, go to a museum, eat and drink all in one place. My room has a balcony looking out towards the water and garden. It's breath taking. Skip a day in Victoria and stay here!

This is one of my favorite Hotels in BC. Right on the water with gorgeous views and perfectly located near coffee houses. Bed are super comfy and so are the showers. It must visit

I wanted to like this place but booking through Orbitz led to a disastrous experience. When you…read morecheck into a hotel, you want it to be smooth and easy, but this was quite the opposite. First, the parking and registration is not so easy. If you're carrying luggage, be prepared to wheel it down a windy path toward a the reception door. When we were asked for a travel voucher, to which we presented the Orbitz reservation number; however this was not reflected in any reservation for The Latch Inn. They were also booked with no availability, so we had to find other lodging accommodations. We called to ask for an earlier check in since the Orbitz reservation indicated check in only from 4:00pm - 6:00pm. But at 3:15pm there was no answer at The Latch Inn, so we left a message. At 6:10pm a representative from The Latch Inn called us to ask what the message was because she could not find our reservation. Bad experience with Orbitz and with this situation. I am open to management response.

The Latch Inn has a great ambiance ... but, needs a lot of TLC, a good scrubbing in the corners,…read morecarpets washed (better yet, replaced with dark carpets), paint stripping and a clean top-coat of paint. There were two gentlemen working there - not sure if they were brothers or not, but they were overwhelmed with the breakfast service. While the food was very good, the service was painfully slow - plan for in excess of one hour for breakfast, even if there are only 3-4 other tables. When I think of an Inn, I anticipate a caretaker with a lot of knowledge of the area. The two men working had a huge language barrier thus we stuck with the basic communication. And yes, you will hear your immediate neighbors very clearly.

I did a review for this hotel under SYDNEY TRAVELODGE. Check it out there. Stayed because of…read moreconvenience but likely wouldn't another time. Very expensive (close to $300). That's what COVID and inflation are doing to traveling. And people not willing to work anymore. It's a shame. So you can get cheap flights on Lynx Air but then the cost of car rental (gas) and hotels makes traveling very expensive now. You really need to have friends in places you want to travel. Home sharing may be the way for future travel.

We stayed here while visiting Victoria and right off the bat this place was wonderful. We got an…read moreexcellent deal on a room right next to the pool, 2 queen beds. And when I say excellent price I mean about $100 a night, so yeah pretty great for 4 people. Plus there was a complimentary breakfast and free wifi, all included! There was supposed to be a free shuttle from the port where we came in to the hotel, however when we called to confirm that they apologized saying the shuttle runs to the airport instead of the port at the time we needed it. So what did they do? They called a cab for us, and PAID OUR CAB FAIRE. Now that's service. Everyone was extremely courteous and friendly. In our room, the phone didn't work because of an old cable, and when we told the desk they switched it out for us immediately, no problem. Their continental breakfast was surprisingly varied, although don't expect a Hilton line up. It was filling and plenty tasty. The room was clean and pleasant, with a very nice TV with a huge channel selection and like I said, FREE no-strings-attached WIFI. Finally, after leaving the hotel, a concierge chased us all the way to the port attempting to return a book that he thought we had left behind. I have never received such excellent service, well anywhere really, before this. I recommend this hotel 100%, 10/10 would stay at again. The town it's in is quaint and very pretty too. The pub next door however? Definitely pass on that.
