During Byron Nelson ATT weekend, I was looking for a place to have brunch before heading to the event. Sienna Cafe came up in the Irving restaurant Yelp search so we decided to give it a try. The restaurant isn't much at first glance. But the people are friendly and nice. The menu was plentiful with lots of classic breakfast and lunch favorites like omelettes, corn beef hash, tuna melt, French toast, chicken fried steak, etc. Definitely had a diner feel to it. I ordered the corned beef hash and my lovey ordered the meat lovers breakfast. It wasn't crowded at all and it was a late Sunday afternoon, but it took a very long time for our food to come out. When we got our food, it was fine but we still didn't understand why it had taken so long to come out. And even when our server finally did bring our food, she told us that the toast was still being toasted. For dishes that were pretty basic, it didn't make sense. Getting down to the nitty-gritty, my sunny side up eggs were cooked perfectly, and my grits were good. The grits were standard diner grits and tasted amazing with salt and probably would've tasted even better with a little bit of butter but we asked for butter and never got it. As a matter fact, our server looked a little surprised that we would ask for butter. LOL. Her response was that it was in the grits already. I do wish that my corned beef hash was more substantial and had more corned beef in it. It was like they took a few slivers of corned beef, chopped it up, and then served it along with the hashbrowns. The hashbrowns were really good though, they were so crispy! The meat lovers breakfast was pretty standard as well. The highlight was the ham! It was so good! Toast didn't have enough butter on it but we used all the dry spots to soak up our eggs and grits, so it was still yummy. :-) All in all, would I return? If I was in the area and nearby, I would definitely try some of their other dishes but I don't think I would necessarily make a special trip out. The restaurant was celebrating a nonprofit in the area that helps seniors to have pets. They had a live band playing and they also were giving away free cake and free collections of coupons and discounts to pet themed places in the area. If I could give -1 rating, I would. I ordered the corned beef and eggs. The description said corned beef hash. They should have called it potato hash. It was all hash brown potatoes with just a bit of corned beef. Both the corned beef and eggs were very greasy. There was a pool of grease under the food. The grits were tasteless and so thick I could spackle sheetrock with it. Service was slow. Nothing like seeing the table next to you get their food first even though they are a larger party who was seated well after you placed your order. read more

I absolutely love the Siena Cafe, not only for its delicious food, but also for the family oriented foundation of it. The friendly ambience is very nice, I might add. Every time I come in, I am immediately served many smiles and impeccable service. The manager makes me feel right at home, along with everyone else! We were reluctant to go here since it had the same name as the Italian restaurant that was there before it. We were not fans of the restaurant before and didn't know if the same name meant same ownership or not. Today we decided to give it a chance and I'm very glad we did! I had the eggs Benedict and my boyfriend had blueberry pancakes. Eggs Benedict is my favorite breakfast and I'm always nervous at new places since it's so easy to mess up. It was traditional recipe here and was delicious. Poached eggs were perfect: The hollandaise sauce was great - wish it was a little more flavorful - but that's mostly because my favorite place to get it at does a cayenne citrus hollandaise. I would definitely return and order it again. My boyfriend loved the blueberry pancakes. Coffee and service was also very good. We will definitely be returning. My only complaint is I wish they'd had changed the name from Siena. I'm sure other people who may have not been crazy about the last place (like us) are also hesitant about returning due to the name still being Siena. read more

I came across this cafe by accident a year ago and I've been having breakfast at least twice a month ever since. They made me feel like a regular after my third visit and they no longer offer me a menu because they know exactly what I want when I walk through the door. Ate here for lunch, a couple of sandwiches with soup and salad. It was good. Tomato basil soup was good and the house salad was pretty much what you would expect. A little light on the tomato and cucumber. The Reuben was good and hot while the tuna melt was good--a little too much butter on the toasted bread. Service was quick and attentive so went from 3.5 stars to 4. Worth a try if your looking for a sandwich. read more

Not sure why this place had so many good reviews. The ambience was great and loved the vibe but the food was bland. They must not cook with salt, and by the looks of the near-empty salt grinders on the tables, other guests must feel the same. The worst part was the service. Our waitress did not want to be there. She ignored us to the point that the owner came over to follow up on our drink order (water and black coffee) and to take our credit card to pay. The waitress didn't come over to check on us during our meal and after I was done and asked for a hot coffee, she looked at me like I was nuts. When she brought it by she didn't even look at me as she laid it on the table as she was walking by. I'm leaving 4 stars because 1) I spoke to the owner and he seemed to understand that training is needed and 2) there is potential and perhaps if we had a different waitress and the chef added more salt, we would be happy. read more

This restaurant is ridiculously close to where I live and work, so I can't believe today is the first time I have had Siena Cafe's food. My order was "to go" and I got a Ruben for my husband, and a Turkey Club for myself. OUTSTANDING sandwiches, both of them! My husband had fries with his, which he said were terrific, and I had the broccoli cheese soup, which was also excellent. My husband and I love Siena Cafe and not just for the great food, but the wonderful people who own it. I am embarrassed to say we come in as often two, maybe three times per week. My favorite dish is the Chicken and Waffles. My husband has recently gone crazy over the Liver & Onions. Not everyone's cup of tea, but he loves the "Meat Lovers" breakfast, as well. For St. Pat's Day, one of the specials was Corned Beef and Cabbage and it was the best ever. The crepes are homemade, the omelets chock full of the freshest ingredients and the French Toast better than the French can make! Stop by...I promise...you won't be disappointed. First timers here and we're so glad we stumbled upon this place. The waffle combo was amazing. The Belgium waffle just melted in your mouth. The Eggs Benedict was out of this world. This place cured my homesickness! Being from Connecticut, it has been difficult to find East coast style breakfast in Texas. Siena cafe is a great example of a Yankee friendly diner. Crisp vanilla scented waffles, poached eggs cooked expertly, fast, friendly service. My husband had the Philly cheese steak omelet and loved it, real shaved steak inside, not processed mystery meat. I opted for the waffle special, but it was a hard decision, everything on the menu looked great! Keep up the good work guys! read more

Came here with a group of colleagues to eat breakfast a party of 8. Ordered food and someone else was given my meal at the table. I was left without a meal and mine needing to be made again. Meanwhile by the time I get my meal everyone is finished with there meal. The meal was very bland. I felt rushed to eat simply because this was a work group and we had to be to work after. I didn't enjoy my meal and no one apologized for not having my correct meal given to me. This was our first time at this location. I also was given my ticket with no discount for the mix up. Another GREAT meal today. I love the new location, even if it is further drive. Food is always very tasty and great quality. The new skillets and Great, but you better be hungry, because the are big. I eat here often and have never had a bad experience. Yes there have been minor mistake, who hasn't made a few themselves, but they are always fixed quickly. All you have to do is let them know. I have read some of the "bad" reviews and I wonder if they have actually eaten there at all. My wife and I have made this our go to for a great breakfast. read more

Have driven past several times, finally decided to give a try. So glad we did! We came late on a Sunday morning and were seated inside right away. Waitress very attentive and efficient.
