I moved from Riverside to LA, I was very impressed with the apartments. They are very spacious, walk-in closets large living rooms. Great, beautiful gardens as well. Loved it right away and the on-site manager is great, very diligent when it comes down to everyone's needs individually and as an entire community. Pricing is very reasonable for the large apartments and for what is included. My husband and I are extremely happy here, hoping to stay longer than what we initially anticipated. She has trapped kittens in the apartment and left out in the crate to die in the sun. Every single neighbor I've talked to has their story with her. Pros: Landscaping and it's a Gated Community. Cons: The Manager Donna is very invasive. She harasses and gives dirty looks. The walk In gate is broken she hasn't got it fixed so handicap individuals cannot are stuck outside the gate for long periods of time. She is in her office and will not come open the gate. Truly unfair and is difficult to speak with. She forgets what she tells you so make sure you get everything in writing. She is mean to the children in the complex. She stays on the site with several different families living with her but constantly watching who come in and out your apartment. She will issue a 3 day notice off of here-say. The Apartments have mold in them due to bad air circulation. The flooring is trash but maybe better in the new apartment. read more

WORST APARTMENT COMPLEX/MANAGER I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! I lived at these apartments for a year. From the day I moved in I had issues. The tenant before me was a long time tenant and kept a big dog (Against the rules) in the closet. So the dog pissed and shit in the closet!! Needless to say, when I moved in, all they had done is replace the carpet. After MULTIPLE complaints in the first week, they finally ended up jack hammering the concrete and pouring new concrete so the smell would go away! Which meant we couldn't sleep in the back rooms because of all the dust! We had to take all of our stuff out of the rooms and sleep in the living room for a week! Something that should have been taken care of BEFORE we moved in!! We had all the problems that every other complaint has had. The manager there is a psycho! She is NEVER in the office and when you do get a hold of her, she's absolutely ZERO help!! And when you leave a message, she will NEVER call you back and she'll just laugh and say she forgot or that she was too busy as if it's funny that you didn't get any help! We noticed a roach issue about 6 months into our stay. My wife and I are Extremely clean people. Nothing is left out, we clean and wipe down everything daily, and all our food goes into tupperware or zip loc baggies. We tried to contact the manager and got nothing back in return. We already knew we were leaving as soon as our contract was up! We ended up getting a note on our door late one night that said everything must be out of your kitchen. The exterminator would be there the following day to take care of the roaches. Well, I had a brand new baby and zero time to get EVERYTHING OUT of our kitchen! When we contacted the manager the following day, we got attitude as if it was our fault that we got no notice!! We never ended up getting the mini fumigation done, but they put some paste down in several areas of the kitchen that did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! We moved out 3 days early to our new place. I ended up staying in the apartment the final night because it was closer to my job and to do some last minute cleaning. The gate clickers were too big to fit in the mail slot at the manager door. (They had put a piece of wood behind the slot so no one could drop anything in it thicker than a piece of paper), so I dropped the keys and left the clickers in the apartment thinking they would see them the following day. (assuming someone would actually check the apartment when we moved) 3 days after our move out day, we contacted the manager to make sure everything was good to go. She stated that we were still being charged because we had not given her the clickers! And when we responded that no one was in the office at 4am when I went to work, she stated that it wasn't her problem and I should have made arrangements! WTF does it matter as long as the keys were turned in and I was out!! All they had to do was go to the apartment and see it was empty and clean!! I was prepared to take them to court if they actually went through with charging me the 3 days, but they didn't. They just charged me a carpet cleaning fee and to repair the holes in the drywall where we put nails in. This has been the absolute worst experience of my life!! And it continues to haunt me to this day. My fridge was full of roaches from the internals. Luckily, I have it in the garage of my new place and I have been able to slowly get rid of them. I sincerely hope that anyone who is considering staying there because of the price or location or whatever the reason, reads this and literally RUNS the other way!!! This place will cost you so much more money in the long run because you'll have to replace everything that gets infested by roaches and bed bugs!! Do yourself a favor and DO NOT RENT HERE!! As a side note, I have never posted a review for an apartment. I'm 34 and prior service Marine Corps. I have stayed in some shitholes in my career. The guys in Iraq and Afghanistan have it better than these apartments. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth! read more

Hello Jennifer. I was never asked to give my number so that she would call back. Her response to me asking whether or not I was calling simply to review the place or what my point was in calling. She only answered a few of my questions before asking this. All I was asking was for a few minutes and I noticed her when I called as to why I was calling. Yes, she asked if I would like to tour the property, but as I said, I was calling to get information in regards to the property before driving as far as I need too to view it. Granted if the case of her having people there is true, then yes I understand that, but there was no reason for the attitude. Simple tell me to call later or put me on hold or something. My family and I have lived here a year and are going to resign a lease for another year. It's cozy and quiet. We love it here. The management and maintenance are on top of any needs that I have had. We live downstairs and we have no complaints about our top neighbors. I also love the fact that I can have my dog here.. not many apartments allow pets and I would have been heartbroken to have had to give her away if they didn't allow pets. And a huge plus is how big our 2 bedroom is. Great price for a great little community and big space for my little family. I have been living here for over 10 years and I absolutely enjoy living here. These apartments are very spacious and comfortable. The neighbors are friendly, and I am happy to live here. We have had quite a few managers come and go since I have lived here but the current manager Donna has been here for quite a few years and she is AWESOME. Donna is very professional, kind, and truly a sweet manager. She really cares about her tenants and she shows it. Like I said earlier we have lived here for a while and everything has been good, but after so many years any place begins to need some maintenance. Donna is probably the rudest person ever. My boyfriend, son and I were going in to check out the apartments, but were late for our scheduled time. So we decided to just walk around. First glance walking in, the building is really ugly and there was a dirty smell coming from the apartments. Right away we just decided to leave. Granted, the apartments have a front gate and when we were trying to get out, we couldn't. We called Donna, and she was extremely rude. She told both of us she can't open the gate. My boyfriend asked her why and she legit said, "Oh, that's means I have to go to my car..." Really??!!? You're that big of a bitch that you won't go to your car? Point is, we both liked that we didn't waste our time here. It's ugly, smells and has a horrible front service. **note to Donna: if you're that miserable there, fucking find a new job. I currently live at Sierra Gardens Apartments and Donna and Fred have both been amazing! A few months ago I experienced a roach infestation because my neighbors had moved from next door and the roaches travelled over looking for food. I maintain the tidiest kitchen and was thus getting frustrated with the issue. As a result, I reached out to Donna and she assisted me with having pest control come and treat my kitchen and bathroom and it was actually effective. Donna is always pleasant and assists with any concerns that come up. Fred executes when it comes to maintenance and really works hard to make sure all residents have a living space that they can call home. Fred also does a wonderful job at keeping the grounds in order. It is not easy living where you work. Both Fred and Donna reside on campus and are available to residents all the time. Their sacrifice is noteworthy and their hard work is commendable. It is also important to mention that the apartments have the most spacious units I have ever seen at this rate. I am happy and blessed to call this place home until I can afford to purchase a property of my own. read more
