Not satisfied with the huge storage container behind my patio gate, it's blocking my view and people continue to leave discarded furniture, clothing and items next to it. This container is an isore and is very annoying, considering how much I pay for rent. It seems as though it may be attracting rats as well. Very unsatisfied. read more

The lock on the front door stopped working where the door couldn't be licked or opened either key. Maintenance (Roberto) showed up the next morning before even clocking in to look into the problem to see what was needed so he could bring the correct parts to fix it after he clocks in. Roberto came back with a whole new lock and installed and programmed it in about 15 minute. I was impressed with his genuine concern and professionalism in getting the job done. Giving it 3.5 stars because they do have a cockroach problem. Review: The community is kept very clean and they do somewhat of a good job enforcing the rules, however once it hits 6:00pm all rules seem to go out the window people smoke drugs in the parking lot and in the entrance of their apartment assigned parking gets blocked etc. Pros: -the playground is a nice amenity and so is the pool, however during summer is rarely available as people can rent it out for the day and there's no way of knowing when it's booked. -onsite laundry is really convenient and competitive pricing. - dog park -Fast maintenance when you have an issue. Cons: -Like most places in LA parking gets difficult unless you pay extra $175 for the Lyft. -AC units are right next to the window and are really loud to the point ears start to hurt. read more

This review is long overdue. Being that I moved in a little over a month ago, I feel the time is right to share my thoughts and experience here so far. First off, if you are interested in finding your new home -- look no further! This is the second AMC property I have leased with in the past two years. When it comes to assistance and questions, the AMC does a phenomenal job being attentive to your needs. When I was apartment shopping with my roommate, we were greeted by Destiny in the leasing office (which is beautiful btw) and she has gone above and beyond to accommodate our schedules and assist us (mainly me) with our absurd questions/concerns. MAKE SURE YOU SEE DESTINY!! About the campus, there are two pool areas, a full gym, and accessible laundry rooms for the residents to use. Most of the amenities are open from 9am - 10pm. Admittedly, I was incredibly sore after moving in but a couple sessions in the jacuzzi was all I needed to feel rejuvenated. The landscaping has got to be my favorite thing about this property. Going on walks/jogs through the property is incredibly relaxing. About the dwelling, we decided on a 2nd story two-bedroom two bath apartment. There were no issues with the place itself but the previous tenant must have used the wrong soap in the dishwasher because there was soap everywhere on the first run. When I created a ticket with the maintenance team, they were there later that same day to resolve the issue and thankfully I haven't had to call them back since! 10/10!! In summary, I believe that when you are going to spend your time living somewhere, make it someplace worth coming home to. Sherwood Apartments does just that. They take pride in what they have to offer their community and it shows. Kudos to the Sherwood team for allowing me to call my place, home. read more

been here for many years there is a maintenance gentleman that works here that is so friendly very helpful. I was getting bunkbeds my car. He saw me and my wife struggling, pulled his to help us bring it to our door and then us inside our house with it always smiling, always friendly just like the rest of the maintenance people here as well as the management there should be more people like dust orham in all of their complexes that they own here read more

I've lived in many apartment complexes and this is the absolute worst by far. they constantly go up on the rent to make the front of the property look better. people leave their dog feces everywhere. you have to pay $50 to use the gym and all that's really in there is a stairmaster and a treadmill. the pool is booked every other day. the parking is horrendous on the property and on the street. if you get locked out of your apartment, they'll charge you $150 to get back in. it's also infested with gigantic cockroaches. management lies to you to get you interested and then screw you over once you've signed the lease. if i could give it 0 stars, i 110% would. read more

There is a major issue with Parking. Parking is always an issue here at the apartment. There is not enough space for those who are living here and should make a strict policy when it comes to parking. How many cars per apartment etc. it's stressful having to come home from work to not find parking both in unassigned and to fight for the "future resident". Even then when trying to get a spot in future resident, people don't respect that someone is already trying to park there and swoop in to take it. So I'd say that yes parking is a major issue here that needs to be addressed and fixed. read more

Sherwood Apartments is beautiful! The place is well kept and clean. The amenities are super nice! They have 2 pools, 2 laundry rooms, a playground, and a dog park! I toured with Angelina and she was very knowledgeable and made the experience of touring amazing. I will definitely be applying and hope to move here! read more

Wanted to leave a review after living here for a few months. This place is great, the maintenance service is quick, the grounds are consistently clean. I just saw them power washing the garbage area the other day which was pretty neat. The community grills are cleaned continuously as well which is awesome. Ran into Destiny today, haven't seen or spoken to her since December when I moved in, and she still remembered my name. She was really sweet and helpful just as she was when she first helped out my wife and I with move in paperwork. Only flaw I've noticed so far is lighting in the grill area. But even then it's not too bad. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars - I WOULD. First of all - the application process was LENGTHY which is very surprising to me when they aren't even a top notch apartment complex lmfao. The amount of information they require is insane and I have never had to provide that much info to any apt complex. Second of all - I was contacted by Lizz (whom btw when speaking to her - has no idea what she's talking about) There was extra verification they needed from us and while I was asking her to further explain - Lizz just kept going back & forth with what she was asking for and really seemed like she didn't even know what she was saying. Said one thing and then said another. Was not helpful at all. I was getting extremely frustrated because the stuff she was saying wasn't making sense so I asked to speak to her manager (Donna) & she had DISCOURAGED me from doing so because she said and I quote "My manager is kind of mean and won't budge honestly so you might have a hard time talking to her" Yikes... get your employee. Third - The assistant manager Giselle contacts me the next day and I began to tell her everything Lizz told me. She then tells me "I have no idea why Lizz would say these type of things to you.." You're telling me you're the assistant manager and don't communicate with your employees about policy? Another girl who has no idea what's going on. As you can tell I'm already frustrated with the entire situation and homegirl keeps cutting me off while I'm talking and can't even explain herself correctly. They try to claim that they want to help you but THEY DON'T. And they don't even communication with one another. Living at Sherwood, is affordable with spacious units with maintenance always available. The staff are friendly and helpful... Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request I have received a prompt response. Whether it was changing light bulbs, replacing/removing furniture, or servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintence quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment. Luis is a constant professional and a 1st class worker. He listens to your needs and handles. them immediately. Definatley knows what he's doing and does a great job. Looking for a new place to called home can be very stressful, especially when you want make sure all your family needs are met. I had recently had a tour with Destiny and she was amazing and left no page unturned. She answered all of my questions about the pool, reserving the pool house, playground, parking and gym. Here to add more content and update on my previous review. On 2/24/24 I saw someone turn my door knob, I opened my ring camera and saw who it was and on 2/26/24 I sent a message with pictures to the office on their company phone and NO ONE responded at all. I went to the office today to address the light on the patio AGAIN as my child is complaining of the brightness in her room at night. I asked why does it seem to have become brighter and DONNA the manager goes in the back office and then comes back to say maintenance has not brightened the light. Customer service would be to follow up with, we can turn it down some and see if that helps. Nothing. I proceeded to ask why wasn't the issue addressed regarding the text I sent to the company phone regarding someone trying to open my door and then opened the gate for other people l, then their company proceeded to stand in front of my patio facing my door for whatever reason. Doesn't make me feel any safer as I've stated before. It actually makes me feel worse. The employee stated the message doesn't go to everyone just the person who has the phone. So basically whoever had the company phone on hand on 2/26/24 at 11:03 am dismissed my concern altogether. Like I said before... This is not the place you want to move to at the high cost it is. You're paying for possible unsafe conditions, horrible quality of customer care and service. Not to mention if you aren't family or have some type of relationship to the manager you don't get the privilege of letting your friends park in the front parking area as her family did on 3/16/24. read more

I'm so overwhelmed with this place we pay so much rent, there are so many things that need to get fixed, the Manager here has too many rules & doesn't pay attention to the things that need to get done. I'm so over it at this point. If you guys live here in the apartments, please don't use one of the washer machines to wash it doesn't work I had to pay twice for my clothes to be washed & I don't think it's fair for us that live here. Something has to get done, or else everyone will start to leave. I'm always going to the office and letting them know the manager says, "Just pay again." That's super rude from her part Our pool is always close because they got to clean it when they clearly know the kids are in summer break! 5 star service is a regular occurrence here at sherwood. They have made every so convenient with their online resident portal that allows you to pay rent, request apt service etc. All of the staff are great but what to give specific shoutouts to: Heri, Anthony, Gilberto, Getzamany, Giselle, & Donna. All have gone above and beyond to make living here amazing that i remembered them by name. Additionally there is a woman who cleans the laundry rooms and picks up trash around the complex who doesnt get enough appreciate but i do not know her name.
