I can absolutely say, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that I found it here, I feel SO at home here at Still Water! Shannon, the owner, is one of the best instructors I have ever taken a class with, and the amazing part is, that ALL of her instructors are amazing! Since she is a certified teacher trainer and certifies a lot of her teachers herself, there is an incredible amount of consistency at Still Water, no matter whose class you are taking that day. The dictation is so clear, and we are always given three levels to stop at, so we can practice at our own level, push ourselves if we want to, take it easy if that's what our body or soul needs that day, and there is never any judgement or criticism, only encouragement, positive vibes, and genuine love for every single person in the room, breathing together as one. I just got back from a retreat in Greece too, which Shannon herself ran from start to finish. It was AMAZING, I don't even know how to describe the high I'm on right now! We just got home (hubby and I went together), and I want to go back already, lol. Seriously though, the friendships and memories we made will last a lifetime, and I will never forget the moments we had laughing, crying (good tears), and practicing yoga in one of the most beautiful settings I've ever seen together. If you're looking for something more than just a place to take a yoga class here and there, give Still Water a shot. This is not just any yoga studio, it's a yoga FAMILY, and you will be welcomed with open arms the moment you walk through the door, even if it's your very first time. After doing a lot of research on local yoga…read morestudios in the area for myself, as well as the fitness & wellness retreat my husband and I run at Lake Tahoe, I was really impressed by this studio and the instructors' bios on their website. Shannon's bio in particular struck me, as I am a big fan of some of the yogis she has trained under and trained with. I reached out to her via email and got a quick response back. Right off the bat, she was very gracious and welcoming. A week or two later, my husband and I brought a small group (6 of us total) to practice yoga with Shannon at her Weekend Warrior class on a recent Sunday, and we all had a wonderful, blissful experience! Shannon is just as lovely and welcoming in person as she was through our correspondences via email. The Sunday class we took was the perfect blend of a challenging, invigorating, centering, calming, and inspiring Vinyasa class that I was looking for. Even the Savasana at the end of class was wonderful with all the extra attention to detail, head/shoulder mini massage, and the darkening of the room to create an extra tranquil, meditative environment for us. Thank you so much, Shannon and Still Water Yoga! We will be back soon to your beautiful studio, and definitely bring our next group over to share in this awesome experience!

That was not what I had asked for . Now I received an email from owner David saying that the trainer told him I made racist comments . How dare they accuse me of something I would never do and never had So, think twice before going there as that place is totally messed up . He just wants to not accept payment from Medicare so made up a lie

As the Gardnerville gym was closed for it's annual maintenance cycle, I trekked up to Kahle for my…read morehour-long workout. Instead of a great view of High Desert and the Eastern Sierras in Gardnerville, I was treated to an Alpine environment and a bit of a Lake View. The folks at the front desk were welcoming and knowing that this was not my home Douglas County gym, gave me the key bathroom and exercise machines directions with a smile. I like Garnerville better as the machines are newer and there's more room. The equipment is also better spaced and more conducive to occasional conversation and moving around. At the same time, I found what I needed here at Kahle, made the necessary weight adjustments, and had a fine workout. I even stayed a little longer to try out some of the variations and have a nice chat with a guy in a t.u. shirt. Kahle remains a good choice if I happen to be in the neighborhood. And now that I know my way around this building better, it will be easier to make the effort and show up.

With Anytime fitness conveniently located all over; I'll be sure to have a gym while traveling and my home based locations when I'm home. 24 hour access with your key fob, clean facilities, lockers and showers. I look forward to my next visits here as I have another trip planned soon and hopefully with some snow to admire. Their club memberships are a little more than other gyms, but worth every penny. When I initially got a membership with Anytime; it was nice to visit a club daily where they knew me by name. I then got rid of it because I had three club memberships and I think that's a little excessive. I'm glad to be back.

I learned this after taking the time to submit my personal information and texting with a rep, Jake. He did mention that the website states they do not offer free passes at this location, which I did go back to verify. On the website, if you keep scrolling down, you'll see this notice. However, there are multiple options to "Try us for free," where you're led to submit your information. Even on the page to submit your information the website states "The pass is FREE, and we would love to show you around our gym! Limited to local residents, new customers only." Too bad this isn't true. Very misleading in my opinion. I'd recommend management remove any reference to a free pass since said free pass is made up. Jake was quick to reach out and was helpful when I asked him to delete my information and cancel my appointment, this is the only reason I'm leaving a 2-star review instead of 1 star.

This studio has been a great experience for my daughter and she has always loved it here. They have a really well-rounded schedule of classes. Joan & Dino are equal parts loving with their dance kids and no-nonsense/if you want it you work hard. The moms always work together to carpool, fundraise and make sure we help everyone we can with costumes, etc. It's a little family and all the qwerks & perks that come with it.
