I met Diane and she immediately took me under her wing and scheduled an appointment. She soothed my fears and concerns about my upcoming birth, and sent me home with a hypnotherapy CD. I listened to the CD almost non-stop to get further practice for directing my body to relax. A week later the baby came!!! My midwife was so surprised with how easily my birth went, and how easily I was able to calm down between contractions, that she became a believer in hypnotherapy (previously a skeptic)! Normally the Hypnobabies program takes several weeks, but with just one session I was able to have an empowered home birth. And so did Winston because as soon as she started, within 3 minutes, he was in a deep sleep laying on his side. She was able to feel the heat coming from his body and injured area. After the treatment, he seemed younger, more energetic, and was definitely moving around easier. I wouldn't say he was ready to walk 5 miles, but just moving around day to day, he experienced relief. Our second session was at her new location in Truckee. My husband took him and he said the room was really clean and nice. I tried the group hypnotherapy sessions with Eve for anxiety and panic attacks I experience due to my PTSD. I went to two of them so far. Immediately afterward, I felt incredibly relaxed which I hadn't felt in a while, it was so wonderful! This made it totally worth it. What was also encouraging, was meeting others whom had similar challenges and I suddenly didn't feel alone. Because the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, it was a very comfortable experience (loved all the pillows and blankets!) I felt welcomed, was offered a pro-biotic beverage, appreciated the soft lighting and meeting others. There was a amiable sense of community. Eve is a lovely character and enjoyable to meet. The changes I experienced were gradual and subtle thereafter. Mostly I became better able to keep myself from going into a panic attack. The mention of, "Hypnotherapy", used to make me think of those County Fair entertainment acts, and so I was hesitant to try, but this was definitely NOT that kind of hypnotherapy. This kind of hypnotherapy that Eve engages is very professional, soothing, and is more like a guided meditation, where you don't lose consciousness, but just go into a deep meditative state that feels amazing. Here there is no forcing ideas into your subconscious, or anything of the like. Instead, she creates a relaxing space and asks your own inner wisdom to provide your own healing which I rather thought was a great concept and something I could trust.
