We decided to schedule a tour The tour was primarily to see and if we liked it to put it on the list of prospective schools when the time comes. the building felt grand with and pillars reaching 20 feet high above the ground! the doors were locked and the only way to enter was by their doorbell. We walked inside and were greeted immediately by Kyleigh, assistant director, started the tour. We loved how secure this place was and how naturally bright it was with all the windows at the front of the facility. She gave reassurance they work closely with wcds police at damonte ranch and transparent on their protocols for emergency. The pictures on their website does not do justice of their indoor treehouse, located in the middle of the facility. We were able to meet the class they had the opening for. As Kyleigh was explained the curriculum they were children turning three this year and offered potty training. Ms. Hannah & Ms. Nicky with the kids were welcoming as they acknowledged our daughter while they're getting ready for lunch. The room was naturally lit with natural lighting coming from the windows. Kyleigh explained all teachers are required to have 24 hours of annual continuing education and that when they are first hired they train and must pass their initial courses before working. The teachers perform biannual assessments to make sure the children are reaching their milestones to ensure by the time they're done with pre-k they are more than ready for kindergarten. We continued on the tour and walked into the outdoor playground which better than any park playground we've been to. They had a section of the playground with wooden blocks to play and climb on. The playground is nicely naturally shaded by the building which is a plus for the warmer days but for sure had to make a mental note to layer our daughter with clothes when the weather gets cooler. She also explained that the kids will also run around the grassy area in the front of the school to get energy out! We were immediately sold and excited to get the paperwork started for our daughter! It has been a smooth process working with Stevie, which I appreciate! They encouraged for us to drop by a few times before her actual start date to get to know the teachers, friends, and to find her own cubby to lessen the anxiety of the first day of school. As we pulled into the parking lot, my daughter's eyes lit up and was excited to go inside. We walked into her class and she wanted to go straight to the playground., the teachers and the bear cubs were so welcoming acknowledging our daughter! We got to observe the class during the morning right before lunch time: circle time, potty/diaper change, chapel time, centers, walking outside, and then playing outside. During centers we were able to observe the assessment and interaction between Ms Nicky did that were asked as well as seeing what the kids would answer and what to expect when our daughter starts. This was the perfect time for Ms. Nicky to perform one of the biannual assessments on a few of the kids. I noticed the teachers had their iPads and was constantly taking pictures of the kids to send to the parents through their app. I've seen pictures from my friend of her daughter while she was at school so it was nice to see the other side from the teachers point of view constantly making sure with every activity they were documenting what the kids were doing. I also noticed the teachers are constantly making sure the kids are safe and if something happens they are quick to help and follow through with their policies. Pricing is comparable to other preschools in the area which is found on the website. The facility is bright, clean, and welcoming. So far it has met and exceeded all expectations we had in regard to our daughter to grow, intellectually and socially in safe environment. All in all we are excited to start this new chapter of our daughter's life!

I've never had to worry about whether my kids are loved. The teachers pour into these kids and make sure they are cared for. The entire staff is so kind and make it a point to make sure that the students and their families are known and welcomed. I highly recommend Summit Ridge as an incredible preschool that not only puts the children and their best interests first, but also assists in supporting the families of their students with Christ as the cornerstone and foundation.

The staff is kind, caring, and has a genuine love for the children and parents that you don't see often. The communication is never lacking and if there is an issue, the full staff is there supporting you through it. We love it so much I didn't even attempt to put my second child in day care until she was ready for Summit. Imagine taking your child to a preschool where they are willing to work on the same things you are working on at home, whatever that may be, listening, sharing, telling the truth, good bathroom habits, you name it and the team will help you. I can't wait to see what this amazing team does with the nursery they are opening. I'm so thankful families will have the opportunity to start their kiddos there at an early age. I think my experience was better than the first time, and if I could give 3.5 stars, I would. I am feeling generous and going up from 3 stars to 4 stars. Let's start with the negatives. This place is still dirty and still chaotic. When we arrived at 10 am, it was ok. By noon, there were far too many people, and the chaos ensued, once again due to the lack of adequate staffing and/or young employees who don't enforce rules. I am also concerned about the upkeep and quality of the facility. Many areas were closed, and there was padding falling off things. I am very worried about safety being a second thought here. The birthday party experience was pretty good. They had a table set up for us before we arrived, and there was plenty of room for our group to spread out. It's about $120 to reserve a table, and then they charge you per jumper. You can bring your own food or have themprovide food for an extra cost. Being able to bring some nutritious snacks for our son's friends is a huge plus. Overall, the kids had an absolute blast, and for around $230 total for 2 hours of jump time and a dedicated party table, it was a decent value. I think my once-a-year-ish visit will still be the way to go, and maybe it's time to start thinking about visiting some other trampoline parks.

It covers so many Next Gen standards, and my students absolutely loved it. One of my sixth grade boys upon entering the ship through the air lock announced "This is the most awesome field trip ever!" IMPORTANT NOTE: This program isn't just for elementary middle school kids. High school and college kids come to experience as well as private adult groups. We are so lucky to have the Challenger Learning Center in our area. There are a few throughout the country carrying on the mission of space exploration that both the Challenger and Columbia crews lost their lives fulfilling. It totally is an inspiration to our next generation of astronaunts. They have a facebook page NevadaChallenger. They share all of the community events and have a large display at the Harrah's Automobile Museum.

Paul and Jenny McFarlane in spaceman blue jumpsuits gave each arrival a warm greeting and split up the touring and questions (even knowing quite a bit of misc questions like solar sunrises and astronaut training -having been to actual space camps) with other workers in blue uniform-shirts/vests. We came due to a pre-opening tour and special film announced on a school flier. (I'm very tempted to recruit my own group of 20+/- friends to run a mission with!!) They have mainly been focused on educational programs through schools with their portable dome or trailer, but with this location can offer an even broader offering of space experiences! Took a bit to find: Located at the Sparks High School campus in (one of many brick buildings) building N7 (look on the doors) on the back/East side of campus. Closest parking is if you park near or under the solar panels next to the modular buildings. They have a banner above their entry door with a side-rear view of the football stadium. Inside: The small foyer has stairs leading up to a classroom area and a short hallway before turning the corner into the "Mission Command station" area (lots of computer terminals that simulate the real space station control you see in movies). A connecting room is where the "Space station" is that has various areas like med bay, air lock/containment, pilot control, etc. There is also a mobile unit (I saw it at the Balloon Races last year) that hosts feature presentations including interactive flight/air races/ space trips (and more I'm sure). I also spied two techy 'Easter eggs' like a Star Trek intercomm (that makes true-to-series sounds) and Hal 9000-like A.I. unit (which I'm told interacts like Siri). A back open multi-purpose area with folding chairs and tables is where they showed a Nasa feature film (not Imax, go to the theater or planetarium if want that show) on a big screen TV and did a small Q&A session. It also has a spacesuit stand-in for kicks and picture posterity. There is only one unisex old-school (literally) bathroom complete with flashing flourescent light (it's the type you have to turn it off then on again to get it to stop but we all know it's not worth the effort and you could be done and out by the time get it right). While not the newest or high-techist looking place they did a great deal under a tight opening budget and I am excited to have a program like this here! Highly endorse!! We live in Northwest Reno and decided to bring our daughter to Blue Kangaroo for daycare. We have…read morenothing but good things to say about our experience! There are a lot of mixed reviews, so I wanted to contribute to the 5 star ones since that is a better reflection of the care they provide. Our daughter has now been in two of their classrooms and we had great experiences with both. They have a camera system for parents to log in and check out what is going on in the room throughout the day which provides some great peace of mind. They have a schedule they follow throughout the day of different activities and learning opportunities for the kids. We bring food for our daughter but they also have snack times where they provide some additional food. Our daughter has learned some great skills from her time here and we love how much socialization she gets from being around the other kids. The rooms are largely organized by different age ranges and they move up once they reach certain milestones, not necessarily right when they reach a particular age. The daycare itself feels secure, you have to enter two different codes when you arrive and then it unlocks the main entrance for you to come inside. The staff are all wonderful and take great care of our girl. The price is affordable compared to other daycares in the area. We are thankful to have found Blue Kangaroo and look forward to continuing to work with them!

Their staff is amazing. They are able to accommodate students, families, and their needs with kindness. They have great hours and are always welcoming and friendly. The teachers really do love the students, you can tell by the way that they talk about them, interact with them, and they ALWAYS have something nice to say. The price is on the less expensive end, I've paid twice as much (per week) for care at other facilities that were only half as good. The school understands that you are busy professional and won't bother you at work, they are great at handling things on their own and talking to you at YOUR earliest convenience, not theirs. I have recruited several of my mom friends who are unhappy with their child care facilities to jump ship and come over to St. Alberts. They usually have a waiting list, so if you're looking to come here, call early. They have a very homey-family atmosphere and I love that. There are events outside of the school day on the weekends and at the evenings throughout the year that they invite families to, which is nice. If you want your child to be loved like family, take them here. The other children are very kind to their peers and you can tell they foster friendship and camaraderie. The art projects, performances, and centers are always cute and changing. There is no business in Reno that I would recommend higher than St. Albert's CDC. The director and teachers are angels.
